I just made pretzels for the first time. This is the end result. German fags are asleep, so you'll have to tell me how much I fucked up.
Also, baking thread.
Looks like you forgot to coat it in poison to make sure the outside caramelizes.
Becuase y'all a bunch of fags, I'll have to upload the other shit I've baked.
Thank you very much, kind sir. It was fucking delicious with some good mustard.
A lot of your baked goods are a little blonde for my taste, but they look like they have nice crumb.
For the pretzels, getting a consistent diameter on the initial roll is critical. You should also have enough gluten that you're able to stretch it to get the full twist in the middle. Even if you don't have lye, you can create the alkaline water bath with baking soda, though it's not nearly as good.
I did set them on boiling water with 2 tbs of baking soda dissolved in it for 30 seconds.
And I do accept it, the pretzels this blonde look lame as fuck. I'm vegan, so eggwash is a no no.
I would put more sugar in it, but I don't want to die of diabetes. Could butter Pam caramelize it?
More baking soda. I add like half a cup of it to about 4 cups of water. Don't all bread type foods have the capability of helping to cause diabetes also do to the constant spikes in your blood sugar from it? I don't really know, just wondering.
Bake your baking soda.
Serious. This is the key.
Spread a box of baking soda out on a cookie sheet, bake @ 325 fer 1 hour. This changes the chemical composition, and increases the alkalinity.
Use 1/2 cup to 2 cups water. Warm tap water, doesn't need to be boiling. Let em soak for 2 min a side.
Dark brown, amazing flavor.
Ugly, and not brown enough for my taste, but I bet it tasted bretty good.
This looks tasty.
Could've used more browning; shit is pale as an Irish albino.
This looks like puff pastry? Is it?
Sweet looks good, savory looks like an ashy NEET. Probably tastes fine though.
Would dip in bolognese.
This is sexy as fuck.
German baking police here. We're awake now fucker.
Doesn't look very pretty but as long as it tasted great who cares. Should look better next time.
And if you just like the dough make some pretzel rolls.
