Holy fuck boys I'm gettin drunk tonight. I'm also going to cook up some food.

Starting with some japchae and then later I'll make some 'gers followed by some kind of cod.

Pack your meat into a bowl with some shitake mushrooms that have been soaking in water for a couple of hours.

Throw some sesame oil, soy sauce, black pepper, and brown sugar in there and let that sit while we get the rest of ingred ready.

Spinach put into the water you use for cooking the noodles... for like 15 seconds, then chopped up a little and add some soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, sesame seeds.

yeah korean food is the best. This korean family owns a deli and they make korean specials sometimes. bibimbap , bulgolgi beef, it's good stuff.

Going to start burgers in about an hour. This is what I'm thinkin lads:

80/20 beef
lots of ginger
bread crumbs

Onion bun.
put the patty on it and pile on the sauce.

Heat packet from korean challenge noodles
squeeze lemon

Throw a crispy onion ring on top of that and put some mushrooms in the middle.

add lettuce.

got some steamed mixed vegetables to add on the side; and some onion rings obv.

basically just this; Ideally would have used buns from fuddruckers, love those buns, but didn't have those.
Don't worry, japchae is commonly eaten without rice and you can eat it hot or cold, so it's great no matter the season. I prefer it on its own, though japchaebap is pretty good every now and again.

How sweet was it? I dig da 'chae but I usually purée pear for gook dishes, and that's mainly bulgogi or bbq.

Not very sweet, I don't put very much brown sugar in now but I used to in the past to make it sweeter. Tastes good either way imo
The pics I take in my kitchen always come out with a yellow tint for some reason; also my camera is an iphone4, not even an 4s lol; I should really go upgrade.
Got some cod thawing out for dinner later; going to cook that up with some linguine / asparagus / and some kind of thai curry sauce. Just going to make some 'ghetti while I wait for it to thaw.

Thawing it in the fridge so it needs like 7 more hours
just posting a couple of pics of the spa' while w8 for this cod to thaw. I'm drinkin champagne today; 1 bottle down on the second, then on to some beers... I have sauvignon blanc as well but I try to keep that for when I cook sea food.

I'm getting prepped to start on my cod now, 2 bottles of champagnay in me ^^... I have no oven so I'm just going to try cooking the fish in the sauce i'm making; will post updates.

Add coconut malk, chicken broth, lemon (or orange) squeeze after first adding the wine, let the wine bang all of those flavors out for about 30 seconds before you add the above.
