Can we get a thread on foods people lose their minds over but are marginal at best?
got too popular too fast, but genuinely a great dessert condiment
preferred mostly for its macronutrients, but it has better consistency than regular yogurt and tastes better than cottage cheese so fuck you, you don't have to hate everything that women who wear yoga pants and laugh alone with salad enjoy
>oven brick pizza
not even a new thing, not even a particularly buzzword kind of food
tell me more about how everything you don't like and other people do is shit
none of these are new foods, they just have high nutritional content, which is a big thing now because people have more money and research tools to help vary their diets than ever before
>got too popular too fast,
shut the fuck up
this has zero bearing on how good it is
and if you were around in fucking 1964 to see its arrival on the market you are too fucking old to be on here
it didn't exist outside of Europe for decades, then it made an entry as a niche food in a few other big countries, then all of the sudden every single fucking dessert recipe has to have it and 7-11s and Carrefours in Asia have massive fucking displays advertising it
it wasn't popular before, it just exploded in popularity everywhere suddenly and simultaneously. it's like LCD screens. wait a couple of years and it will stop being such a big deal, but at least thanks to the popularity there are so many imitations that cost half as much and taste exactly the same.
they're not supposed to taste good, that's not why people care
>it wasn't popular before, it just exploded in popularity everywhere suddenly and simultaneously.
it was extremely popular in europe from 1964 you pleb. why the fuck would chocolate hazelnut spread not be
>Taking the word of a guy that uses the phrase GOAT
I just don't get it. So fucking over hyped and overrated meme worthy bullshit. Kek stupid hipsters.
Nutella is too sweet, but the idea of it is great.
"craft" or homemade hazelnut chocolate spread would be pretty amazing, especially with dark chocolate. Would love to find this premade as well.
i got this posh nutella from m&s global foods section the other day
Never understand the adoration for Nutella. By the same token, I never really understood the hatred that goes its way either. Well, no, I do, it's just backlash, but whatever. It's not really worthy of either reaction. It's alright. I've had better hazelnut butter.
Is this a hipster anti hipster thing? Nutella is good,I'm a grown man that likes foie gras, oysters and truffles, I also like shitty cheese in a tube, processed white bread and reformed ham
If YOU think it tastes good eat it, I can't understand any other way of thinking.
