>have some thin sliced meat, the kind used for hot pot
>decide to experiment with it by coating it with flour and panfrying it with olive oil
>improvement over just boiling it, but still not much taste

Anyone got any suggestions on what to do with this stuff other than hot pot? I thought about using sauces, but the ones from the supermarket are like $3 per bottle and only lasts for like half a kilo of meat.

Hot pot is great though. The lovely lamb taste is amazing.

If it's good meat, then this method is good.
Prepare some sesame oil with black pepper and salt in a ramekin or whatever for dipping.
Use a hot plate or portable burner, throw it on your table with an oiled cast iron pan on top. Take meat, throw on hot pan, flip, then dip in the oil/pepper/salt and eat. You can eat it wrapped in lettuce with rice and a touch of red pepper paste too.

Hot pot is generally eaten along with dipping sauces
