Sandhill crane, probably. Roasted it to a nice medium, occasionally spooning a bit of bacon fat over it.

Tasted like flying sirloin, I would definitely eat it again if I had the chance.

the best part about jellyfish is if you told people it was just a regular vegetable salad and it was slices of cucumber or something they would eat it without question, and then you could drop the bomb afterwards

It's hard to pick one, ever since I started eating healthy everything I eat draw "Ewws" and funny looks from everyone.

Cow heart

You'd think they'd notice that there's something gelatinous and crunchy in their salad.

I worked in a fishing town in Japan and whale meat used to be a big part of their economy. It's died down, but we would get it for lunch every now and then.

Also had horse, shark, and some weird bushmeat that I had no clue what it actually was
>>
balut. and it's absolutely fucking disgusting. a chick still in the egg, boiled, consume, vomit.

i've eaten stuff like locusts too, meh, i'd prefer a steak.

i've eaten all kinds of obscure seafood. sea snails like whelks are amazing, monkfish cheeks are divine, so is caviar, fish semen, octopus, squid tentacles, i collect limpets from the beach nearby and cook them on a rock in a bonfire... just everything is delicious. nothing edible from the sea is nasty. and it's cleaner than land food too because it's been having a bath it's entire life.

Nothing really exotic. Being in the southeast states I've had gator, frog legs, and conch (both fritters and right off the seafloor). Other than that octopus, squid, raw quail egg (do not recommend. Raw eggs make me queasy), escargot. Anything my grandmother cooks since it's likely compiled of severely expired freezer burnt ingredients and she always manages to get cat hat in it even after her cat's been living outside for years...

i had crocodile, ostrich, zebra, and wildebeest in africa

This shit right here

Acociles,maguey worms and chapulines

Acociles are delicious on a salad with nopales and tomato, they're a lake crustacean and since it's really small you eat it whole

Chapulines are dried and seasoned with a mix of chile, they taste like peanuts that way. You can also eat them fried in tacos but they taste nasty that way and have to put a shit ton of sauce to make it taste good.

Maguey worms are the most fucking bland piece of meal I've ever had, they taste like lima beans. I haven't eat them fried, they say they taste better but shit was disappointing as fuck

What, you mean bananas foster?
>>
>>7337240
>>>7334221
>What, you mean bananas foster?
I can't imagine why frying a banana ruins it. I am thinking you must have had a plantain and only thought it was a banana. Plantains are tricky, about 5 degrees of ripeness between green and "maduro" and if you want it sweet like the latter, that thing is black skinned and rotten. A yellow ripeness is closer to potato in flavor and might seem off to the wrong person.
>>
>>7337250
It doesn't but you're supposed to do it at lower temp. Bananas foster is about adding rum and brown sugar as well though. A banana fried by itself would be rather lackluster.
>>
>>7336911
yeah no kidding. people don't realise just how bad it is.
strange thing is, the taste is pretty much ok. fuck knows how, but somehow that vile stench is accompanied by an acceptable taste.
>>
>>7337259
Oh bananas foster is delicious, but a fried banana isn't lackluster either. Sugars caramelize, no matter how you do it. The only thing that can ruin it is an oil that logs into the thing, making it greasy or something that was the wrong ripeness.
>>
>>7337193

Pig's feet taste really good, they're like jelly but a little more stiff. I eat them marinated, they're a really frequent sight on my country.
>>
>>7337273

yeah, getting oil on your fried bananas is nasty as fuck. As I said before, plantain gives stomach pain and puke if you eat it green or badly cooked.
>>
>>7337288
i wonder how many people who eat jelly (jello to the amerifats) realise that most jelly/o is made from pig trotters.

I'm mexican, so it's pretty par for the course, but cow tongue is DELICIOUS

Now, you can't just go to any Paco's stand down on the corner, it has to be prepared correctly. If done well, the tongue is soft and moist, more than any other cut of beef.

Also beef heart, kind of like regular beef but more chewy. I love it.

Cow cheeks. Kind of taste like a very fatty cut of beef. Great if you like fatty cuts of beef.

Liver, obviously, not that weird, lots of people eat liver and onions.

I've heard moose in the wild that slurp up too much oil spilling from dig sites can get green discolorations underneath the skin, and even the coyotes won't touch that shit and leave the carcasses to rot. A normal dead animal would usually have scavengers all over it until nothing but bones are left.
I won't take the chance with squirrels that have probably been drinking gasoline on puddles and rolling in filth.

A live spider and some dead midges completely by accident all at once.
When I was in middle school my mom would set up my medication and a glass of water or milk right before she got me up.
In like the 5-10 minutes it took for her to prepare that and then go wake me up and for me to walk to the kitchen, like three midges drowned in the water and a spider fell in and was trying to get out.
I was barely awake and didn't notice at first.

Good luck with that unless you're an Alaskan native. You're going to need to go to a country that still practices whaling, like Norway, Iceland, or Japan.

Cow brains, blanched and grilled one time and as ravioli the other.
Suburban pigeons , because shits and giggles and possibly disease; stewed in tomato sauce and served alongside gnocchi.
The unidentifiable black bits around the end of the neck stump of a roast pig's head. I don't know what it was, but it was incredibly delicious.
I unknowingly ate an eel fishes out of a sewer or storm drain or some shit.
Oh, brains of that same pig's head spread on bread. I tried the eyes but they were too salty and the texture was extremely off-putting.
Your secretly-crossdressing father's cock.
Cow's large intestine, grilled. Very flavourful, but very tough and chewy; grilled small intestines are 10/10 would eat until physically sick.
The liver and kidney are the best parts on a rabbit, hands down; bunnies you butcher yourself, like any other animal, just taste better since you feel more gratitude for the animal's loss, by the way.
The weirdest was probably the following. Bit into a pounded, breaded and fries chicken breast once and there was a yellow creamy mass in the middle of the solid, previously uncut piece of meat that was NOT supposed to be there, pretty sure I had just tried chicken cancer. Excused myself to the bathroom to spit it the fuck out and then cut the tumor out before eating the rest of it, because I sincerely didn't give a fuck and the rest was still tasty.

Not that anon but when an animal dies by your own hand it's the only way to be sure that it was killed quickly and humanely, and treated with respect. If you have to eat meat, that's the only way I support it.

It doesn't make the meat any more moist, once muscle fibers contract and squeeze out moisture you can't get it back in, and all basting really achieves is ruining any potential crisp exterior.
