I want to make a Frito chili pie and don't know what kind of chili to buy. I always see Hormel and Wolf, both are pretty cheap and not so good quality. Is there a better brand of canned chili for pies and hotdogs? None with beans, they don't belong on dogs and Frito pies.
I like to use hot dog chili sauce for chili frito pie and chili dogs. Any brand will do.
I always enjoyed beans on chili dogs, and always noticed that it was some kind of meme that you don't put beans in your chili meant for chili dogs, what gives? I mean, hot dogs and baked beans are a common pair, why not bean chili on hot dogs?
Texan hipsters like to say that chili consists of beef, peppers, spices, and nothing else.
They ignore the fact that chili also exists outside of Texas and that some people like milder chili (with tomatoes in addition to peppers) and that some people like to put beans into chili for convenience instead of having them on the side.
P.S. Just to clarify, I'm not saying it necessarily has merit or is 100% the only right way to do it, just that it's a completely separate meme with nothing to do with texasfag shit.
