Any britbongs on right now? I got this "cotswold" because it was on sale and I was curious. Generally I've found English cheeses to be really good quality but this one tastes only a little better than the kinds of cheese that come from Wisconsin. Is this something people actually eat in England or is it an "innovation" done by an American cheese company that knows it can get away with literally anything in the name of the free market?
What is it, and where was it actually produced? "Cotswold" isn't an actual type of cheese.

Either poor reading comprehension or didn't read the thread.

The label says
COTSWOLD
SOMERDALE
And then just the usual price and weight info
The internet says it's supposed to be Double Gloucester mixed with chives, but it doesn't taste like any Double Gloucester I've ever had. More like shit-tier (redundant) Wisconsin "cheddar" with chives.

Well it is British, but they specialise in exporting to the USA. Which explains why it's shit tier cheese; nobody here would eat it and they know the yanks will lap it up.

What a shame, I guess I need to be more of a nazi about looking for PDO labels.
