Honestly, unless you work in a restaurant there's no reason to worry about gastriques and swirls and shit on the plate. Outside of a restaurant, it makes you look like a tryhard twat.

Haha true. I work in a restaurant but got the chance to move up to a classier place which uses swirls and shit.

So just doing some light research and stuff before I start.

The recommended videos from that one gave me a whole list of terms on what to look for.

Meh, not if it's the only place, true enough. But posting a thread on a place I visit often doesn't require a lot of energy and you never know what comes up.
