Does anybody have any clue what this is all over my roommates skillet? I simmered some salsa, rice, chicken and chicken broth in it, and I have fuck all idea what it is.
>>
>>7304771
Starch.
Use Bar Keeper's Friend on it.
>>
>>7304771

looks like strach from the rice, should scrub off.
>>
>>7304771
It's starch. Not a big deal to clean.
>>
I guess nobody knows.
>>
>>7304787
okay, I'll try picking some of that up next time I'm out
>>7304791
>>7304806
Is it really just supposed to scrub off that easily? I haven't been able to get it to come off with soap
>>
>>7304832
>Is it really just supposed to scrub off that easily?

No. The bar keepers friend will take it right off though.
>>
>>7304832
Try letting some vinegar stand in the pan, 10-15 minutes, then wash again.
>>
>>7304771
OP, those are trilobite fossils
>very rare
>>
>>7304832

I use the green scratchy side of the sponge to do it.
>>
>>7304841
This. Or simply boil the vinegar on the stovetop while you scrub it with steel wool.
>>
>>7304870
For a little starch the boiling and steel wool is a bit much. Just letting it stand should solve the amount in the OP.

Boiling is for carbonized, baked in stains.
>>
>>7304771

Looks like someone burnt rice on the bottom and scratched it off with a knife. Use a brillo pad and soap to buff it out.
>>
Bar Keeper's Friend actually has a before-after on their website.
>>
>>7304888
Nice trips, but did you read the thread and see this question has been answered?
>>
>>7304880
Boiling it is faster tho
Also, you can put on music to dance to while singing the vinegar song
>>
>>7304771
It's probably starch. Barkeeper's Friend or even vinegar should get it off.
>>
>>7304846
but where are the Doritos
>>
>>7304898

Alright, I'm off this board for good.
>>
>>7304912
Why do people keep replying before reading the thread?
>>
>>7304920

reading threads is long and boring. replying is fun and you get to press buttons
>>
>>7304771
I get that sometimes. I don't know what it is, but it comes off quite well with Bar Keepers friend.
>>
>>7304771
Starch, Barkeeper's Friend is the solution. Got a 55 gallon drum of it in the garage.
>>
don't listen to this barkeeper's retard; some new product advert lmfao first and only thread it's been in; nice try op; fuck off.
>>
>>7305685
Barkeepers friend is legitimately good though.
>>
>>7305866
Can attest to this statement; I use Barkeeper's Friend every week.

hurdur continuing adverts. fuck off.
>>
>>7305901
I still stand by my statement that barkeepers friend is good, but yeah, there is an obvious shill.
>>
i haven't read the thread but it's dried starch. just heat and scrub with a wet scourer.
>>
>>7305911
i've read the thread now and i can confirm that i suck cocks and should be disregarded. sorry.
>>
>>7305907
Also I would like to point out I have only ever used bar keepers friend to clean my shower, and I don't know if it should ever really be used on stuff that touches food.

>active ingredient comes from fucking food
>hurr durr is this safe to use on stuff that touches food
>>
>>7305965
I've never read the ingredients, I've just used it to clean my shower.
>>
>>7304927
And you don't get (You)s by not posting in threads.
>>
>>7305976
christ dude its fine, just dont eat any of it
>>
>>7306001
Why are you so aggressive?
>>
>>7305976
I don't believe you. Post shower or gtfo
>>
>>7306021

You are talking to two different people.
>>
I've read the entire thread. It's a starch and using bar keeper's friend should take it right off.
>>
>>7306021

because ive been drinking for some time.

Sorry the pic is sideways.
Mobile sucks ass.
>>
>>7306068
Looks good m8, I enjoy a clean shower
>>
>>7305930
>>7305976
Now I'm worried. I've used vinegar to clean my shower before. I've been using vinegar in my cooking the entire time. Not just using it on stuff that touches food, but in the food itself.

Have I been killing my senpaiily?
>>
have you tried barkeepers friend on that op?
>>
I think it's starch.
>>
pretty sure it's starch.

i just asked my mum and she agrees.

definitely starch.
>>
>>7304916
cool, one less person to post incorrectly guessed solutions
>>
>>7306413
go to bed
>>
Whenever I get starch like that on my pots, I just soak it over night and it usually comes off fine the next day.
