Which company does /ck/ prefer, Sysco or US Foods? US Foods has a wholesale store called Chefs' Store in both my hometown and close by to the college that I am currently attending. I nearly exclusively buy all of my food from US Foods as do most of the restaurants that I've ever eaten at. I've never been disappointed by any food that I've gotten from US Foods. However, my university has a mandatory meal plan where all first year students have to eat in the school cafeteria. Most of the food is complete shit, so does Sysco just make awful food or are the cooks incompetent? Pic related, it's my breakfast.
tl;dr
Is Sysco a shit food company?
Both are better than Sodexo or Chartwells.
Sysco offers varying levels of catered food. if your school is anything like mine was, your cafeteria is probably signed up for one of the even-worse-than-prison plans.
having to pay for a mandatory mean plan where the food is awful is bullshit, does your school have a students' union? run for prez on a platform of changing that. a guy did that while I was at my school, he got elected and managed to force the administration to make the meal plan not-mandatory.

If you're cleaning products are coming on the same truck as your food convenience is much more of a priority than quality.
