I imagine Norwegian soil would be ideal.
wouldn't it be all dirty?

i've only ever seen it in videos, i hoped it didn't exist irl and was all an elaborate prank.
Also how do you not get ill from eating month old fish?

I guess on OP's deathbed he can reassure his family that "it's just a prank bro"

I HAVE NO IDEA, ITS JUST A TRADITIONAL SCANDAVANIAN FOOD. OBVIOUSLY YOU DONT GET SICK EATING IT

Plenty of foods are kept around until they rot/ferment and don't kill you.

Lutefisk is not buried in soil, but put in a marinade, or "lake". Maybe salted too, unsure about that part.
Good troll tho'
this will probably cause massive diarrhea

Norway fish is one of my favorite recipes. I've found you do not need to be too specific when it comes to the soil. There are a few exceptions. Do not, under any circumstances, use Miracle-Gro brand potting soil. That shit has some kind of toxic chemicals in it. The fish I cured in that soil turned my skin yellow and made me shit blood for a few weeks.
I'm better now but I will never make that mistake again. Only fresh soil from now on.

it's what you deserve for eating that shit

always glad to benefit from the mistakes of others
thanks kid

Couldn't you just start out by buying some salted cod from a spanish/portuguese place somewhere and then adding lye for a while?

Nobody even picked up on the "alive" part, OP. I'd be disappointed if I were you.
