I never had hummus, but tahini is great.
Great in small quantities, because it's calorie dense as fuck.
You should also try tahini mixed with a little honey as a spread or just edible paste.

It's cheaper and easier to make at home than it is to buy in a tub. It's even cheaper if you have a middle eastern market near you that sells tahini at a reasonable price.
