What foods do you eat primarily for their medicinal benefits? For me, its curry. It has to have turmeric for depression and inflammation, cayenne pepper for its muscle relaxation, and black pepper for synergy. What about you, /ck/?

if i have a bad cold, literally anything that's really fucking spicy. the heat gives me about 20 minutes where i don't feel like i have a cold at all. really hot curries are great for it.
>black pepper for synergy
entering mom science territory
spicy soups are fantastic when you're sick though.
Pics recommended because this IS a mongolian basketweaving collective

Not at all. The black pepper increases the bioavailability of the curcumin by 2000%.

meat soup, scientifically proven to work
Whenever I have sore throat, I eat a lot of lemon, honey, garlic, hot pepper and pálinka, pretty good shock therapy, works for me.
Pork =Harem , absolute
Chicken soup for a cold.
I don't know whether i crave chicken soup because my body instinctively knows about it's healing power or because my mom always made chicken soup when i had a cold.

Chewing a bunch of mint to clean out sinuses.
>>7256667
there is no fucking healing power in chicken soup. You eat it because it has salt and water when you're puking and have diarrhea to restore your electrolytes and hydrate you and maybe get a little substance as is the fat in it. It doesn't heal anything. You could drink pickle juice and it would do the same. It just tastes amazing
>>7256673
So it does have healing power.
>>7256683
it isn't a power or magical. It's called drinking water and replacing lost salts
>>7256685
what do you think people are talking about when they say healing power? like you think we mean food that sits back and throws healing spells at you while you tank the boss? shut up and keep your dumb ass comments to yourself oyu pretentious cock mongler

Don't really see a resemblance

So what is curcumin supposed to do?
>inflammation
Inflammation of WHAT, exactly? When I worked at a TV station and had to watch Dr. Oz every day, he'd always talk about INFLAMMATION like it was some deadly yet widespread disease ravaging our nation. I remember one time he had a woman on and he told her her "inflammation number" was 150, and she was just like, "Oh no."
What does it mean? What is inflamed? Am I missing something?
>>7256982
Arthritis is a good example. Mainly it has to do with joint pressure, from what I understand. Sorry you had to watch Dr Oz.
Pho for a hangover, guacamole (only homemade) for general health
I don't know what it is about pig's blood, basil and garlic that makes me feel so good.
I don't think this necessarily qualifies as "food", but I'm all about those dank Chinese herbal teas. The rare and more ridiculous, the better. They tend to taste interesting too.
>>7257002
Guacamole isn't normally made with pig's blood tho
>>7256673
I think there are studies out there proving the opposite.
>ginger
>onion juice
