Dutch sweets called drop are the absolute bomb. This is just a quick picture I found doesn't resemble the drop I eat. It's a sweet or salty liquorice which can be soft hard or chewy and comes in all kinds of flavours like honey or even umami. It also comes in all kinds of shapes even penises, buildings, keys, fish, honeycombs, long strings (drop veter). It's awesome you should try it!

What's the problem here? If the guy was raised in Japan it's perfectly reasonable that he likes the kinds of sweets served there since that is what he was served as a child.
