/ck/ my birthday is coming up, and my family wants to make me a cake and asking me how I want it, what are some fine, thick, moist, cake recipes out there for a double layered cake?
When my family asks me I just try to tell them the most basic cake mix out there or else they'll fuck it up.
You haven't told us how competent your family is or what kind of cake you even like.
I live in an area where you can get the best cakes made for a justifiable price. They're sold in places I like to call, "Bakeries."
If my family offered to bake me a cake, I'd immediately assume they were being cheap asses.

If they fuck up the cake itself, the milk mixture would salvage it. And you wouldn't even have to worry about your cake being moist because of all that liquid. If you still want the chocolate frosting, ask them to put in some cocoa powder in the whipped cream.
