Basically anyone have tips they would like to share for cheating the food industry out of getting away with too much money
Mine:
>Wendy's
>always collect coupons from work when they are about to throw them out, same with at home
>Buy one get one
>always get Dave's Double 2 for 1
>ask for extra everything but cheese (that way they don't charge you!)
>Do the math on the combo
>realize getting the 4 for 4 is the best way to get even more food without spending extra since a combo is usually ~2 dollars and ONLY has fries and a drink
>4 for 4 Double cheese burger, nuggets(siracha and Sweet and sour, they give you two packets if you ask), and fries
>for here, more refills
>about 7-8 bucks for lunch

I was in Montreal recently and stopped by the bakery Patisserie Au Kouign Amann. I had this chocolate cake-like desert pictured in the bottom here. It seems like a flourless cake with a chocolate ganache, but I cannot find the name of it. Does anyone here know what it's called? I'd like to get a recipe.

I enjoy the experience of eating them, it's like an activity food. Texture is ok, it definitely just tastes like the ocean though, but that's my gripe in general regarding sea food

I make plenty of cakes pretty much one a week but I've never made cookies before, and I don't know where to start really. I'm looking to try something new.
I want to make 2 batches. One with oats which I think I've found a good recipe for but I've got no idea for the other type. Any recipes or suggestions here for another kind? Any recipes you post will be great.

I was the same as OP not too long ago, never had made my own cookies so I went out and bought a box of chocolate cookie mix (yeah, I know it's cheaper in bulk to buy each of the ingredients myself, but it was only $3)

Why so many baristas behave like rocket scientists.
They just mix hot water and coffee grounds yet they act so important.
There are some horror stories how incompetent barista can ruin not only your coffee but your whole day.
Best trick is to never look at barista especially never look in his or hers eyes, just get the coffee and ignore them so you don't get sucked in senseless conversation with them.
