any current of former McD's workers care to explain to the rest of the world why *nobody* should ever eat at McD's? I'll start.
>> be me. 8 years experience at a bay area franchise McDs
>> I always try my best, but half the other managers there are shortsighted selfish immigrants who hardly speak English and don't really care about doing anything the right way
>> eggs and meat always overcooked because that's just what the short mexican grandma prefers
>> Cleaners and soaps always get into the friers
>> 99% of bad hispanic type cooks will pre-cook 500% more meat than you're supposed to just out of fear of running out. This leads to cabinets chock full of meat that gets old and chicken that is held in cabinets that aren't even the right temperature.
>> incompetent managers with poor English skills accusing 16 year old white kids of being lazy, unfairly blaming them for problems that's not the kids's fault. Ruining these kids' lives by making them think and feel that they are useless and worthless.
>> hispanic workers like to monopolize the same jobs for themselves to avoid having to do anything different. This leads to day to day stagnantation as nobody rotates positions and everybody does the same things. Hispanic workers tend to get slow and sloppy doing their non-customer service jobs like cooking, while the inexperienced white kids have to fumble to keep the front of the restaurant running, untrained uncoached and without a competent leader to tell them how to do their jobs.
Long story short: after working there for 9 or so years, I wouldn't trust anything at McD's, not even the bottled water. Why do you, or anyone for that matter, even eat there anymore?? Why does this brand still exist???
I work at In n Out now, and it's refreshing to know that all the veggies are sliced here every day from scratch, including the potatoes. The burgers here taste good because people get yelled at for being sloppy with quality. At McD's, everyone's just trying to survive.
>>9032956
>including the potatoes
And lo and behold, In-N-Out has shitty fries.
>>9032963
The fries are actually good now that they switched from shitty cottonseed oil to sunflower seed oil. You should try them. The change happened recently.
>>9032956
In'n'out has the worst fries and the franchise+all their shills agitate me to no end. Habit is better, and I wouldn't be caught dead with their food.

When ordering Chinese, is it safer to go with beef or chicken?
>>9032830
CHICKEN
you can't fuck up chicken as much plus the beef they buy is always fatty as shit
>>9032830
Safer in what sense? Less likely to be tough and flavourless, or less likely to give you food poisoning?
>>9032830
Chicken. They're more likely to overcook beef and make it tough.
hey, 'bout to make a taco bell run. whatcha want, si kay?

Can we get a mother-fucking comfy Croissant thread going?
> Why is this the most superior bread form?
> Why can't slicedfags compete?
> Does it give good crumb anon?
Croissant thread, I guess.
>>9032570
I personally like to eat them with cheese cubes.
I like to let them dry out for a couple days, adding some spices every now and then along the way. Then i gather my assorted bunch when i have a relaxing day with my bottle of 10 year old fine wine. I down the whole bottle and peel off the first layer of crust off the Croissant, stick it up my rear end and finagle it for a bit. Blah blah blah dino saur.

>Can we get a mother-fucking comfy Croissant thread going?

If a restaurant has good wings I'll order them for my meal instead of an entree
Ok fuck this thread.

Drink some NyQuil to balance it out.
Do you know any good kinds of Ketchup?
>>9031872
Plain mayo is a meme condiment. Has almost no taste, all it does is add empty calories and oil to food you put it on and dull the flavors of the other ingredients with its bland creaminess. At least garlic or chipotle mayo adds some flavor.
>>9031881
Apparently Belgium mayo is supposed to taste good.
>>9031872
The kind that isnt sweetened with HFCS. Ketchup shouldnt have corn in it.
I invited people over this weekend and I'm telling them to bring wine for sangria. Anyone feel like sharing a good sangria recipe? I've never made it before.
I know I can just google it, but I like actual opinions from anons.
>>9031722
just drink the wine u fuckin autist
>>9031724
That was the plan, until I asked what they wanted me to make and they said BURRITOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I make really good ones so I guess I can't blame them, but I still want wine. So sangria it is.
>>9031722
I personally can't stand brandy. I would either sub something else or omit it entirely.

bumping for interest, I too want a feasible job as a chef. Would it be a stupid idea to invest in a food truck? Are those things still popular?
>>9031525
>Are those things still popular?
If you don't already know the answer to that question, in detail, then yes, it would be a very stupid idea to invest in a food truck.
