How do I cook grains and particularly stuff like wild/whole rice, lentils, and quinoa so that it actually tastes good
I'm trying to eat healthy but this shit always tastes so fucking bland and unpleasant to me..
Cook wild rice in stock. Stir fry quinoa. Lentil soup with a bit of bacon.
>>9060106
Flavor it with the same plants that make other stuff taste good?
>>9060106
Use spices and butter or even cook rice with yogurt. Just look up flavored rice recipies and you can probably apply those to any kind of rice like dish.
Hi coo/ck/s!
I just made some cookies with my mom.
What do you think? :^)
Op, you have nudes of that semen demon, right?
In the yogurt thread I mentioned I dated a chick in HS that used to douche with yogurt and rose water, you look like her except with bigger tits and you don't have red hair.
>>9060053
she must have some serious backpain from holding those puppies up all day.
worth it/not worth it?
If not what is the better alternative?
I love getting stuff in the mail, but none of them are worth it unless you have some completely disposable income.
I've gone through a few (I don't know, check the past 5 years of archives), and while there was some good stuff, you were ultimately paying shipping from Japan, plus paying the weeb who puts the boxes together, and the end result Really doesn't justify the price, even when you got "exclusive, only found in Japan edition" candy that tastes just like everything else you've tried from them.

I was just htinkin about a one month deal though
I just want one box to see how it is, sort of like a surprise to myself
>>9060055
Try it, then.
I think I always did smaller, more niche services, so JC will probably be really hit or miss if you only get one month.
black or white with cream and sugar.
Is there a proper way or just personal taste.

Mug of water
45 seconds in the microwave
1 carefully eyeballed half-spoon of instant folgers
Freshly ground, black
Morning: small cup of black coffee, burr ground fresh, single origin, either moka pot or drip, depending on how much time I have to fuck around
Evening: Cafe au lait
I just found out that people actually put alcohol in their food.
If you're really such an alcoholic that you need your food to have alcohol you should probably just end your self there.
Alcohol is a drink. It only gets you drunk if you drink it. Eating it is fine.
you some kind of a fucking retard, pal?
How do I get into seafood /ck/ ? What dishes do I start with to develop a taste?
In my mid 20s and grew up with autistic tastebuds. My whole childhood diet was tendies and burgers. Getting older my diet has been restricted to beef and chicken dishes. The idea of pork and seafood makes me gag but I've recently gotten over pork. I want to be able to eat crab, sushi, and lobster with the best of them. Advice?
>>9059506
Start with fish and chips, tuna salad, and salmon burgers.

One thing that bothers me is the expensive investment of ordering something seafoody at a restauraunt. Would you recommend Long John Silvers for instance?
>>9059506
Look up recipes for fish on the bnq/charcoal grill and try the one that sounds the best to you. There are tons of sauces or marinades you can glaze your fish with, just pick one that's appetizing
Does anyone besides East Asians and Hawaiians use seaweed in their cuisine? Why not? It's savory and nutritious, it's surprising that other coastal regions don't eat it more.
CHEEEEEEEEEE HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Supposedly in Ireland and Iceland they eat something called dulse

It generally stinks when you find the shit in the wild.
>crack this open

>smells kind of like wet dog hair
What IS that smell?
>>9059396
Formeldehyde.
It's a buttload of their low grade malt
Why do you guys drink that garbage? The big bottles of normal macro beer don't cost much more.

>>9059070
You can go on with life never trying it and it wouldn't make a difference if you had. Except ur understanding of how pretentious and fake hipster faggots are has grown
>>9059070
its okay, i don't understand the whole circle jerk over it. its not the best sauce in the world.
I found this stuff at my local Asian grocery store for only a few bucks and decided to try it out. What are some good things I can do with it?
>>9058945
I just get a spoon and eat it straight. Makes my tongue numb.
Otherwise add it to noodles or rice or vegeysbles or whatever lol.

WHY OH WHY DIDNT I WEAR GLOVES
I'm new to avocados, just bought my first one yesterday to try in a salad. I used half, and put the other half in a ziploc bag to store in the fridge. Less than 24 hours later in greeted with pic related. Is it rotten? If so, how do I store it properly?
>>9058507
rotten? no. getting close to past usable though. store it with the core to prevent oxidization.
>>9058507
Keep the half with the Stone in next time, og just Eat both.
>>9058507
Next time you store unused avocado, lightly coat it with lime or lemon juice. Citric acid prevents it from oxidizing.
What's the point of rating sushi joints with michelin stars when the only demand for that is to have an access to a fresh, quality seafood?
Finding just the right rice and vinegar to prepare can't be that hard it takes years to master.
> Finding just the right rice and vinegar to prepare can't be that hard it takes years to master.
nigga you just /thred your own thread. see ya in the archive.
Michelin stars are just some Tire Jew trying to make people drive more. They're worthless to anyone not retarded.
>>9058519
while that was true during the conception of michelin stars, i don't really think that holds true now.
