Could go for a hearty beef stew or casserole, look up various recipes online. Get a cut of beef like chuck or brisket and cube it, then do the same with various vegetables (carrots, turnip, parsnip, onion, garlic). Might want to vary it up when it comes to sauces/spices, could go for a red wine sauce or Moroccan spices, etc.
Otherwise I'd go for a roast vegetable dish. Again using beef, but this time slow cooked using cuts like silverside or topside. Good roast vegetables include carrots, parsnip, potatoes, sweetpotatoes, onion and butternut squash. Could even make a puree/mash out of some of the vegetables.

Make a big pie or multiple smaller ones. Shepherds pie, cottage pie, Cornish pasties, chicken pot-pies. It's all good.

Since I was a little kid I always liked over analyzing food and try to find imperfections. Now that I know what most food establishments look like (broken down, dilapidated, dirty and filthy) I want to contribute to society with my obsession and help the world be free of these shit holes. Where should I start?

Does anyone else here sometimes forgo water for extended periods of time? Like not too long, but if I drink water like I normally would I just end up having to get up and go to the bathroom a lot.

Water tastes a lot better and feels a lot more refreshing if I just "forget" to drink it for awhile. I don't even drink it with meals anymore. It's been 7 hours since I last drank any water, I think give it another hour or two and I'll go get some. It'll feel very refreshing I think and much better. It's like how you enjoy food more when you're hungry.

You're meant to enjoy water, not mindlessly consume it, I think.

No, I have a steel 1L growler which gets drank and refilled multiple times a day. Water is an essential ingredient of life.
>>
>>9009805
Of course, I don't deny that, but I think most people drink it much too often and don't really enjoy it. If you wait longer between drinks it becomes a lot more enjoyable to consume it

just a reminder that i made this thread a couple days ago, so i'm posting it again just to see what y'all's tastes are.

i like my burgers with the following ingredients, rate me:

>100% balck angus grass-fed beef
>fresh cracked white pepper
>carolina reaper sauce + mayo
>romaine lettuce
>fried egg over easy
>burger is soaked in bourbon
>shaved black truffles
>heirloom tomato slices, quarter inch thick
>homemade dill pickles
>sauteed portabella mushrooms cooked in a merlot sauce
>bleu cheese
>havarti cheese
>thin slice of swiss cheese
>another patty
>almond butter
>butter
>fat strips of bacon
>another egg
>grilled white onions
>two thin slices of smoked nova salmon
>white & black sesame seed bun with dried onions baked in

Costs about $25 at my local burger joint, they even named the burger after me and put it as a secret item on their menu (local only of course)

what do y'all like on your burgers, /ck/?

why am I supposed to be outraged about corn syrup, but no one seems to care that soy is in fucking everything too? everyone bitches about "fake" ingredients and food being "processed," but they're perfectly happy to eat milk made out of a fucking bean.

I don't think soy is that bad on its own, especially if it's fermented in some way, or sprouted. But when it's hydrolyzed and/or the protein (or fat) is separated, you get into a real weird territory of 'probably unhealthy' foodstuff.
>>
>>9009832
>I don't think soy is that bad on its own
studies have shown that soy is estrogenic, which makes it far worse than corn or even trans-fats.

Just let the soyjews turn you into a cute little trap, you'll be glad you did.

Are you talking about the noodles themselves, or the dish in your pic related? If it's the actual noodles, there isn't really one. Pulling noodles is hard, and getting the right hydration takes a lot of trial and error and a lot of fine adjustments. This guy has a good guide on how to do it: https://silkroadchef.com/2015/01/10/uyghur-style-laghman-noodles/
If it's dapanji, Woks of Life has a really good recipe for it: http://thewoksoflife.com/2015/03/big-plate-chicken-noodles/

Fuck you Silver Diner. I went to you for one thing and one thing only: your reuben / sweet potato fries combo. If I wanted a nice burger, I could go to The Burger Joint, and if I wanted a steak I can make my own. But your reuben was kind of worth it, so I went.
No more. Now if I want the best sandwich I will be taking my business to Corned Beef King, at least they don't take 20 minutes to make my meal.

Fuck Checkers for changing their Bacon Roadhouse burgers. It was perfect before; sourdough bun and instead of ranch, it had mayo, and more BBQ sauce. Fucking had a great thing and ruined it. Fuck you, I'll take my money to Burger King.

I just grabbed it off google, I don't have any pics because I don't go there anymore. I had to order double meat on it every time just to get a solid sandwich.
Also, their chef looks like a lesbian.
