It's really easy, you just have to have the right ingredients for what you want to make. The only tool you might want is one of those bamboo sushi mats.

I am from The South so I make tea a gallon at a time. I heat up a med saucepan of water to just under boiling and put in four double-tea-bags. I dip and gently stir it until I'm satisfied with the dark color. I put one cup of sugar in the gallon pitcher. I hear so many others put in two or more, but that's just way too much. I then pour the hot tea over the sugar melting it some. Stir that up good then fill the rest of the pitcher with cold water. Put it in the fridge to finish getting colder. I don't really care for ice and only rarely like lemon in my tea.

I have a bag of something a Nigerian roomate left behind, 'Ijebu Gari'. Looks like a kind of coarse white/yellow powder. A quick google turns up some stuff about drinking it, or straight up eating it raw, but on the back it specifically says "Do not eat raw". What is it, how do I prepare it?

I had one of these the other day and it didn't taste anything like I remember. Is it the corn syrup use instead of actual sugar? This used to be one of my favorite cookies.

I used to be the same way about those, and Nilla Wafers, literally anything with butter salt and sugar tastes like heaven to a kid, these things still taste good as an adult but it isn't quite so simple
