pork butts are like 2 bucks a pound in my area. smoke em, bake em, slow cook em or pressure cook em. they last about a week and are great mixed with beans.

Small or left over amounts of meat are good in fried rice.

Crock pots my nigga, You can put pretty much anything in it and make a stew thats amazing. Only bad thing is it takes around 8 hours.

Back in the day I would get 2 cans of cambells "cream of mushroom" and then get carrots, the cheapest boneless meat I could find (like pork butt that the dude mentioned above but theres a couple alternatives that I cant think of now) potatoes, onions and some oregano maybe a little bit of that cheap pre shredded garlic and salt and pepper. I still make this sometimes today just with diffrent meat since I can afford it.

But you can put pretty much any combination of things in a crock pot and its great. Just make it before you go to work and you get home and have an awesome meal waiting for you.

Also a big crock pot is way better since you usually cant eat it all, you get left overs for at least 2 or 3 days.

At first you only have the taste of really fucking hot chili pepper, but if you have the bad idea of chewing on the meat too much, it starts to taste like dirty water (if the rat is undercooked, and no I can't believe I'm typing that either) or like straight up gas fire (if the rat is overcooked). You will get either taste as a small aftertaste once you swallow, and after that your mouth will burn from the chili for the rest of the day.
It's basically how most if not all meat you can get in the cities taste, since it's hard to get any sort of fresh meat (supply lines and transit is dogshit because the roads were few and not maintained at all) they let everything stew in hot chili sauce.
The stuff you could get in the rural areas was much better, but also came in much smaller quantities.
Except peanuts.
Holy shit, peanuts were everywhere and they were actually really fucking good. Fat as fuck, but really fucking good.
