I got their pesto and it was a huge fucking waste of time. 14$ and I get cheap pesto that tasted like just basil and olive oil. If you're gonna have an item on your menu, at least make it decent.
Little Caesars is better at this point.
it was just OK. not great fast-food pizza, but decent.
It's definitely better than Domino's/Pizza Hut/Papa John's.
What is the most normal food or ingredient that you absolutely hate? Something so common that you should rightfully be embarrassed for not liking it.
For me it is ham. Im not a picky eater either. I'll gladly eat any vegetable or fruit. I like pretty much all meats including wild game and shit. I like most cheeses and dairy products. I like fast food and junk food snacks. Eggs are sketchy but I'll eat it. But I do not fucking like ham. I somewhat like pork products like bacon but ham is inedible to me. Sometimes it can be embarrassing because ham is everywhere, I just don't eat that shit.
>Eggs are sketchy
You have to be 18 to post here
I don't hate soup, but I'll never buy or make it myself.
I'll only eat it if it's already there waiting or me.
I just want more hearty and substantial food. I guess soup is alright if it's in a bread bowl, or full of noodles or dumplings.

Hazelnuts. I fucking HATE hazelnuts. More specifically, I hate them when people try to pass it off as chocolate. When their raw/roasted, they're fine and I enjoy them. But then some fucking jew decides to sneak it into my chocolate and taint it with "healthy alternatives" and it just gets me pissed. I legit almost turned down chocolate from my gf on Valentine's day because it was riddled with hazelnuts. I took a bite, then went to the bathroom to spit it out.
Is this what Americans think Mexican food is supposed to look like?
It is missing the taco.
Not enough iceberg lettuce and chopped tomato.
Not enough octopus
Heyo. I'm making little gelatin parfaits like this for the 4th. I bought some Knox unflavored gelatin for the white part and was going to make it so with a little bit of heavy cream (plus vanilla and some sugar for flavor). I'm having trouble figuring out the proportion of gelatin-to-water, and most recipes I can find aren't quite on the money of what I'm looking for- involving fruit juice, syrup, sour cream, etc.
I just want to make a pot of it like you'd do with regular Jell-O, then pour the layers on one by one after the previous one cools.

When I make panna cotta I use around ~2 cups liquid (in this case, half-and-half) per 1 packet gelatin. I assume you would want the gelatin firmer than panna cotta, so maybe use 1 cup liquid per packet of gelatin?
>>9122211
That's what I was thinking, just wanted to get a second opinion before I went to (potentially) wasting the gelatin. Thanks!
Eating a yogurt based food with a french name on the most American holiday. Fuck that. The french are pussies. Grill some fucking german meats like the rest of us, you unamerican prick.
Hey /ck/ can you beat Bobby Flay?
>>9122127
Give me a crowbar and I'll do it with a smile.
>>9122127
Judging by his record on his show and on iron chef it's damn near impossible to lose
>>9122127
I coworker of mine was actually a contestant on that show and ended up losing to Bobby.
How do you make curry your whole life and lose to some white boo like Bobby?
Recommend a deep fryer /ck/
This thing boils over with 8 wings in it. It's an embarrassment
Thinking either the 4L faberware or the presto big kettle.
>>9122040
Bump
A big ole soup pot 40 or 60 qt's
Can also deep fry a turkey too
>>9122075
OP probably wants a dedicated fryer so he doesnt have to dump the oil every time
>At a restaurant
>Order too much food
>Have to overpay even though you really didn't need all that food and wasted money
What fucking place are you eating at that won't give you a to-go box when you ask? And if you aren't asking, you deserve to have your money wasted for being a dumbshit.

How are y'all feelings about the nuwave, been cooking with it and love it but whats is y'all's take on this? What about other gimmicky appliances to ease cooking?
>>9121893
I've got one a relative gave me, I just don't know what the fuck to cook in it. It's just been sitting in my pantry because I can't even figure out a use for it.

Crockpot. Buy it, live it, love it, and lust its delicate morsels full of flavour.

This answer on this YA question was a response to what if you were to attend a "Vegan Minds" event in LA with a dozen vegan musicians/entertainers, as a guest, whether vegan/vegetarian or meat eater.
What do you think he meant by "artificial people and cuisine?"

Must be a silicon valley company party and they are doing a world reveal for sexbots. I'd go if I were you OP.

then why their economy is the strongest and food the tastiest?
They used to tell me eggs were bad, too much cholesterol, now they're telling me nah it's no problem
>>9121544
There is ●●●●ZERO●●●● scientific evidence that eggs raise blood syrum cholestrol levels. The pros outweigh the cons. Eat eggs today!!!

What is your favorite way to prepare cabbage?
I like cabbage and noodles. I was wondering if there's other cabbage recipes out there people like in order to expand my horizons.
>>9121376
Equal parts cabbage, onion, bell pepper, sliced in strips.
4 pieces bacon.
6 cloves of chopped garlic
2 sliced habanero peppers
1 part smoked paprika
1/2 part black pepper
1/2 part chilli powder
salt to taste
chicken stock as needed
Heat up the bacon to render fat and cook until just before crisp.
Add onion, bell pepper, and cabbage and cook until translucent. Season with garlic, habanero, and dry spices, and stir until garlic becomes fragrant. Add chicken stock until almost covered, bring to boil, and reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for at least 1/2 hour, or until desired consistency is reached, and season with salt to taste.
Garnish with parsley, green onion, and cherry tomato.
>>9121376
Red cabbage with bacon and apples. Served with spaetzle, knödel and a few rouladen. Delicious.
I have proven that you can get all your nutrition from broccoli, carrots, milk, and sunflower seeds.

Your lipids are whack.
Someone on /r/vegan put together this for a hypothetical person with several dietary restrictions.
The Irish survived on oats, potatoes, and milk up until the blight.
>>9121384
I saved this, thanks.
I was trying to avoid supplements in my hypothetical scenario because it's really easy to cheat by adding a multivitamin. Not that I was trying to give anyone actual dietary advice.
Have you ever tried Jeonbok-juk or Korean abalone rice porridge?
The first time I tired Jeonbok-juk was also the first time I ever had abalone, and I was surprised it does not have any fishy or clammy taste.
It was kind of like scallop, but much more intensely savory taste minus any "clamminess."
>>9121301
I like all juk, abalone is ok but i usually get vegetable juk
>>9121301
tuna (canned) juk has always been my favorite just because it was something cheap my mom made for me when i got sick as a child. i would recommend trying grilled abalone anon, it's incredible
