Nah, got it from a "soul food" joint where the waitress is smacking her gum and smells like old shoes. I've just never had bacon turn out like it was covered in pimples

Kill yourself

What rice goes with what foods? I got a bag of Jasmin rice and a bag of basmanti rice. I also have some just "long grain enriched" rice.

What are good pairs for each rice?

I know basmanti is served with Indian food. What's served with Chinese food? What's served with Mexican food?

East Asia; Jasmine, Japonica, short grain rice variants
South Asia; Basmati, long grain rice variants
>>
>>9139695
For East Asian, your retail options in the US will be primarily Koshihikari (short grain, good for Japanese, more expensive) or Calrose and derivatives (includes "New Variety" and "Nishiki", medium grain, workable for Japanese while also being workable for Chinese.)
Jasmine is good for Chinese but not good for Japanese at all, so it's probably best to compromise on Calrose until you want to specialize unless you have dreams of making sushi.

is it just some weird perversion for me, but why does drinking from a container always taste better to me than drinking from a glass?

(psychologically I feel like I'm literally pissing on my roommates when I do it ^.^)

Is it true that meat cooked till falling off the bone is considered a sign of a rookie in a smoking contest?

>>
>>9139533
No...

If you can pull a bone and it comes right off, that's some tender ass meat. You're retarded.
>>
>>9139540
They said on the BBQ pitmasters that it should have a little tug and come off in a clean bite
>>
>>9139533
It depends on the meat. The bone in a pork shoulder should come out clean, but ribs should be like biting into a tender piece of steak.

Cheeseburger Macaroni is a scam. Just get a box of Kraft mac and cheese and mix beef or hotdogs into it.

What's the least messy way to cook bacon?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>9139448
Probably the oven, on cookie sheets.

I add mine to a cold pan and allow it to cook using a medium-low heat in its own fat, and take it out when there's a little bit of color on each side. As the pan heats up, the fat renders, but it's not really messy, and gives me bacon that's cooked, but still soft, and not too crispy.
>>
>>9139448
just microwave it

You know those "pork product rib shaped patties" you can get in the frozen aisle?
Its like that but with better sauce.

Never had one myself.
I imagine they're probably equal to or barely higher quality than school rib patties or frozen store bought rib patties.

And now I have cancer. :`(

WHY DIDN'T SOMEBODY WARN ME?!?!?

> Long term vegetarian diet changes human DNA raising risk of cancer and heart disease
by Sarah Knapton

ong term vegetarianism can lead to genetic mutations which raise the risk of heart disease and cancer, scientists have found.

Populations who have had a primarily vegetarian diet for generations were found to be far more likely to carry DNA which makes them susceptible to inflammation.

Scientists in the US believe that the mutation occured to make it easier for vegetarians to absorb essential fatty acids from plants.

But it has the knock-on effect of boosting the production of arachidonic acid, which is linked to inflammatory disease and cancer. When coupled with a diet high in vegetable oils - such as sunflower oil - the mutated gene quickly turns fatty acids into dangerous arachidonic acid.

The finding may help explain previous research which found vegetarian populations are nearly 40 per cent more likely to suffer colorectal cancer than meat eaters, a finding that has puzzled doctors because eating red meat is known to raise the risk.

My first bag of high quality darjeeling tea came in the mail, I was excited to try it but drinking it black gives me bad nausea. I don't believe it to be the caffeine, as I'm used to drinking black coffee without issue.
I have no milk, is the any way to salvage this without having to go buy milk?
