Who here makes their own soda? What syrups do you make.
Pic related it's a cola i made
What the fuck is that
>making sweet soda
I've been making gingerbeer for years now. Lightly fermented, not enough to be legally considered alcoholic.
Usually super dry too.

Still frozen
It's full of sausage bacon and cheese
Which wing is best wing, fried or baked? Assuming both are covered in sauce

I boil my wings
A lot more tender and juicy

this boiling is the new frying
Sous vide plain, then microwaved with sauce.
I'm going to visit some friends next weekend, but the food in their area sucks balls, super hard, so I'm planning to make a lasagna to bring with me.
I want to put some veggies in with it, but I'm not sure what would go best. I was thinking spinach, peppers and zucchini. Any better suggestions?
>>9164238
Courgette and peppers are good. I like to start with sweating onion, celery and carrot when making my ragu as well. Never tried spinach in one. I'm not a fan but some folks like aubergine in lasagna.

Concentrated umami. Not bad.
>>9162576
I don't use ketchup at home but I wouldn't mind having the option at a restaurant.

ITT stupid shit that people parrot all the time that is not true. I'll start.
>America beer is pisswater
>French wine is the best
>British cuisine is Fish 'n' Chips
>Bacon goes well with everything
>OP is not a faggot
Usually I find something to disagree with in these OPs but this is spot on, especially the first one. We have the largest, most accessible craft market in the world while Europe is busy copy pasting the same lager

what's so bad about gmos?
>>9159603
Turned Americans into fags and fag lovers for one thing
GMO isn't bad for anything except farmers that can't afford their seed, because you bet your sweet ass the normal veggies can't compete with engineered stuff
JK, GMOs can really threaten the species variety of plants in general
like if you only plant the GMO stuff, then the normal stuff are going to be planted less and less
you might be thinking "well, where's the problem?"
what if there's a blight or disease that attacks the GMO plant, and since they're the only ones getting planted in this hypothetical little world, all of the plants will die
developing for a cure or a strain that's immune to the disease might take months if not years, and the world can't wait because we gotta eat, right?
so that's one little bad thing that might come from GMO
>>9159659
why does this apply to GMOs but not the "normal stuff"
>But it's expensive to eat healthy!
Why do people believe this?
Cherrypicking the price of a bundle of asparagus vs the price of a mcfuckburger.
Fatties lie to themselves. More news at 11.

processed food is cheaper. at least in america.

Fish is expensive.
My mom turned sixty on Tuesday and for her birthday she asked my dad to take the whole family out for a fish dinner. My dad selected Red Lobster.
Initially I was incredibly skeptical. I don't care for clams or hush puppies so what good would it be to dine there? I was really wrong!
>surf and turf options the whole family could enjoy
>quite simply the best rice pilaf I've ever eaten
>a unique lobster pizza as an appetizer!
>Lipton iced tea
>based cheddar bay biscuits (I had 4, lawl)
This is my plea to /ck/ give Red Lobster a chance. Embrace something different and try a new culture of food. Don't stick to burgers and fries.

I actually learned how to make the wine garlic shrimp, caesar salad and cheddar bay biscuits for my mom. She loved that shitty food.

Do they have McChickens?
Can I eat healthily for under 50 dollars this week? I have almost nothing in my kitchen besides
>rice
>banana
>milk
>eggs
>cold cuts, ham and cheese
>a loaf of bread
>butter, honey, marmalade
>frozen veg and some frozen fruit
And yes I sick at cooking
>>9166359
How the fuck is all that shit "almost nothing"
>>9166359
dude are you kidding. Buy some rice and chicken, eggs, bread, bananas, packs of veggies ( you don't have to go frozen ) peanut butter & jelly. If you're feeling like a good get like some apples or some shit
Use the 50 dollars to buy a helium tank, a strong plastic bag and some tape
Dear /ck/
What the fuck are you supposed to do with a slab of ahi tuna? I tried eating some raw, it was good and i haven't squirted out of my ass, but i am looking to try other things. Grilled perhaps? How the fuck do you go about this?

If you're gonna "cook" it, don't grill it. Sear it in a hot pan, 1 minute on each side.
