What retarded owners could possibly run a Del Taco into the ground?
That shit sells itself.
Ham sandwich. What do you put on it other than ham and bread? Other meats? Condiments? Salad?
I'm going to go to the store and buy some sliced ham and have this classic meal for the first time ever, and I want to experience it in the most preferred/typically agreed upon way
I'm seeing all different kinds of things on google, so I want to know what you guys think
>>9421452
ketchup only
>>9421452
I like to mix mustard and horseradish and spread that on both slices of bread, then anything after that is whatever you feel like putting on the sandwich because it's a fucking sandwich
Thinly sliced red onion's nice but I like pickled reds more
lettuce tomato onion mustard mayo
potato chips on the side
I'm going to Ted's Montana Grill for my birthday dinner. We have better steakhouses, but I'm in the mood for bison. Should I get the filet, the Kansas City strip, or the Delmonico ribeye?

It's your birthday; I'll let you decide.
>>9421440
Seconded. Most flavorful cut.
why do people like this shit?
Heinz is top notch quality.
Sir, excuse me sir. This is the champagne of ketchups.
Heinz...well, Heinz is what they call "basic bitch" ?
>>9421425
wtf is a wegman
>>9421436
I do not know, it's some East coast thing. I do however know that that is the champagne of ketchups, I have it imported to my home in Michigan.
You can have only potatoes or stuffing with your roast meat dinners for the rest of your life. Which do you choose?
Keep in mind there are multiple forms of each (garlic mashed potatoes, oyster stuffing, etc.) - but they need to be something appropriate for such a dinner... so no loaded baked potatoes alongside your turkey with gravy.
Stuffing all the way. More flavor complexity.
both
>>9421269
Nonsense. Potatoes give you baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes au gratin, french fries, hash browns, etc etc. You don't eat stuffing with a hamburger, or with roast beef, or with eggs.
I just bought this french copper sauce pan for around $5 and i'm wondering what it is i bought. I've never owned anything copper before and i'm kinda worried about the tin lining inside. Is this pan still usable with the copper showing at the edges or does this need retinning?
More pictures below:
Inside, you can clearly see some copper shining through.
is this usable?
>>9421058
Looks like it needs to be re-tinned, but that's no big deal.
>>9421057
Havard is a small town in France specialized in copper. Antique copper pans used to be extremely popular among rich Americans.
It seems ok to me. Just clean it off with something, there are many ways to clean and polish copper. Test it by boiling some water.
Ask anything of a man who just tried foie gras
Good, aint it?

You ate fatty liver. Welcome to the rest of the world who are suffering from fatty liver.
What's your favorite instrument in your kitchen?
Got one of these bad boys last christmas and it has made a typically unfulfilling part of my day that much better. You put in some water, put in some beans, push the button and you have a great cup of coffee 5 minutes later. Finish you coffee, take 5 minutes to clean it and dry it, and it's ready for the next time you want a cup of joe.

>>9420517
Those are crawfish
I fucking hate crawfish and even moreso anyone who buys it. Crawfish season is the absolute worst time of the year, and the fat rednecks and Asians who think they're suitable as a casual meal for one have ended up spanning the season from December to August. Then, after they demand crawfish year round, they get pissed when they can only purchase them for $6 a pound at a tiny size in the middle of December.
Fuck crawfish and everything about them.

I heard that if you work at Walmart during Thanksgiving they give you a 15% discount so I'm planning on doing that.

I haven't went to one of these in 5 years now. Only relative I talk to is my father. I won't even go to any funerals so I hope nobody plans on dying only because I don't want to find out how he would react to my apathy then.
So a friend gave this to me and I've been putting it on everything. Eggs, wings, ramen, curry. I was watching that YouTube show hot ones and didn't even realize that this was their last "dab" wing or whatever until I looked at my bottle. Can people really not handle this sauce?

maybe a dumb question, but to the bakers of /ck/ -- this recipe book is great, but i absolutely don't need that much bread. can i halve one of these recipes, and then divid the halved dough into two to make two small loaves?
consider the surface area/crust to dough ratio
if you just want some fresh crust it will be ok when you figure out how to change the temperature and timing
>>9415419
most boule recipes end up with 2 1-2 pound loaves, and most other recipes end up with about the same. if this is too much bread you are nuts
>>9415447
yeah, my thought was to up the temp (my oven runs high, so i usually bake one of the big boules at 450 instead of 475) and cut down on the time (maybe 15 min with the lid on, followed by 7-10 with the lid removed).
>>9415461
there's only so much bread i can pawn off on my s.o., sister, and coworkers. plus, i'm sick right now and gonna work from home tomorrow, and the idea of experimenting seems fun to me
Why do recipes lie?
It takes at least 35-45 minutes to fully caramelize onions, yet just about every recipe ever written or presented on tv will tell you it takes a mere 5-10.
I feel like Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinny. Do the laws of physics cease to exist on recipe-writers' stoves?
>>9415318
dunno why, but now onions are on the list of things that arouse me
>>9415318
Because they mistake cooking onions for caramelizing them.
