We are in a pretty small town where the market is not dense at all so we are hoping to make use of that.

Hi /ck/, I'm looking more rustic traditional European recipes to cook.
I love to do batch-cooking, and usually I like to look up budget-friendly meals. But, these tend to usually be tex-mex, asian stirfries, or cheesy casseroles.
Any recommendations for websites or cookbooks with plenty of good recipes? High-calorie hearty recipes would be fantastic.

I get that her beef allergies stop her from eating that, I don't complain either and just eat burgers whenever we eat out.
However, she refuses to eat certain foods, including my favourites:

>any tomato that hasn't been puree'd
>broccoli
These are some of my favourite foods and I haven't had them in a year.
I forced her to try broccoli with pasta (my favourite dish being tagliatelle with pesto and broccoli, served with pine pits and little pieces of bacon), and she literally looked like she was gonna cry even looking at it and smelling the dishes, so I called her out on being a little bitch, and when she ate it she spent time puking (legitimately, I watched her puke to verify it wasn't just a show).
Is this just a mental hangup with expectation influencing the senses?
If so, how do I teach her to grow the fuck up and stop picking peas out of her meals? It's not like she's not good with cuisine, she is a fair to good cook and is very well informed on Asian cuisine, and has taught me many dishes within these cuisines.

Indian and Biryani-aficianado here, it's really hard for me to eat biryani on its own because of its dryness (unless it's very very well done). Most Indians will eat it with raitha (yogurt with onions, cucumber, mint). If you have some plain yogurt lying around it's fine to eat it with that. Any Indian restaurant worth its salt will also give it to you if you ask for it.
You can also eat biryani with a curry. Growing up my Dad would make biryani + some curry of the same meat we were eating and we would eat them together. I don't often see Indians pouring the curry over the rice though, we usually keep it off to the side of the plate and take from it as needed.
