Why doesn't McDonald's in America sell alcohol?
In France and Germany McDonald's sells beer.
In most of Europe, really. And in South Korea as well.
In Argentina, McDonald's just started selling wine.
What makes it different in America?

Liquor license, liability, age of employees.
In America most bartenders are over 21, most other patrons are. Bartender is expected to cut someone off if obnoxiously drunk. Most times other patrons agree call a cab for him.
If McDonalds served it it would be a 40 year old man slapping his dick on the counter and demanding a shot with scared 16 year olds hoping to not get raped.

Mcdonalds is "fast food" in america, AKA people get it to go or eat it and leave. Most people who go to mcdonalds dont eat it like they would eat restaurant food, so alcohol would seemingly promote drinking and driving.

What can I add to my ramen to make it taste worse?
>>9230795
on the one hand that weebs idiocy makes me cringe
on the other, can you imagine the pure childlike joy of discovering something from your animes is real? And that it's actually good?
To make it taste worse? You can use water, fish stock, or chicken stock instead of the typical (modern) prom stock.
If, for some reason, you want it to be better... I guess you could add roasted garlic or bamboo shoots. Maybe use less salt? I don't know why you'd want that, though.

Bet you didn't realize the sale of meat with tumors is legal throughout the world. Bet you also didn't realize there aren't even screening processes for it.
Some nutritional professionals have suggested consuming tumors in animals correlates with cancer in humans. Teach the controversy.

> Long term vegetarian diet changes human DNA raising risk of cancer and heart disease
Long term vegetarianism can lead to genetic mutations which raise the risk of heart disease and cancer, scientists have found.
Populations who have had a primarily vegetarian diet for generations were found to be far more likely to carry DNA which makes them susceptible to inflammation.
Scientists in the US believe that the mutation occured to make it easier for vegetarians to absorb essential fatty acids from plants.
But it has the knock-on effect of boosting the production of arachidonic acid, which is linked to inflammatory disease and cancer. When coupled with a diet high in vegetable oils - such as sunflower oil - the mutated gene quickly turns fatty acids into dangerous arachidonic acid.
The finding may help explain previous research which found vegetarian populations are nearly 40 per cent more likely to suffer colorectal cancer than meat eaters, a finding that has puzzled doctors because eating red meat is known to raise the risk.

I've got three swordfish steaks that I don't know what to do with. The last time I had them I pan roasted and put seasoned butter on top. Does /ck/ have any good ideas on what I should do with them this time?

swordfish is often:
blackened
grilled over smoky coals like a steak
grilled in a pan with a pan sauce
Good swordsteak is getting to the pricey end of seafood, for the line caught game fishing rarity and aspect of it all, but often people do find it fishy tasting flesh, so hit it with that blackened seasoning. If you are limited in what you can do, keep pan roasting it or light your grill. It stands up well on shisk ke bob skewers too.
Got this for about $1.
Anyone else here/second hand/?
>>9229627
Also, anyone know how to clean this? I tried using a baking soda paste and scrubbing.
>>9229627
Yep, I once got a like-new Le Creuset cast iron skillet for like $5 on a flea market. It must be a pretty old and rare one too, because it isn't enamelled like all the new ones.
>>9229634
What kind of material is that? Rolled/carbon steel? In that case it doesn't need to be cleaned, the soda paste and scrubbing was enough to get any real dirt and nasty stuff off, what is left on the pan seems to be just seasoning. Not pretty, but nothing to worry about. If you really can't bear the sight, try electrolysis with sacrificial anodes, there are vids on youtube that explain this.
my mom swears by going to goodwill for this kind of stuff but the people there creep me out
So I went to the states from Canada for a vacation. I love eating down there because of all the burgers and fast food restaurants that we don't have back home. Wanted to try every fast food restaurant I could find but only got some of them. Here are my opinions.
Round table pizza - absolutely horrid. Got some pizza sub, pretty burnt, and wings was pretty gross.
Philly steak shop in some food court - it was meh I love Philly steak subs but that one was pretty bland.
White Castle - was pretty full when I got there, got the original sliders, was meh. Didn't realize it was a slider restaurant. Burgers were bland. Also it was all niggers working there. Kinda sad.
Carl's Jr. - God teir delicious burger, got the biggest one can't remember. Also ordered the massive breakfast sandwich.
Jack in the box - I assumed it was a sour dough restaurant. Ordered the sour dough Jack. It was alright, wishes it was better.
Sonic - had no idea it was a drive in only, kept walking around looking for the seating area but found out it was just the kitchen inside. Found the outdoor seating area. Got a burger with tater tots and a banana cream milkshake. The shake was the best thing about the place.
Shit that I wanted to goto but never got the chance.
Chick a fil
Popeyes
In and out burger
I was actually excited to goto those other places because they are supposed to have the best chicken burger, fried chicken and cheese burger.
What is the best fast food chain in the states?
