Only the appetizers when they are half off. I'm partial to the boneless bbq wings but I have a nostalgia thing with it.

If you have a gift card, get the shrimp/parm steak. Don't get it with your own money, but if you have a card that your grandma gave you for christmas, it's not bad.

Look up wine shops in your area and see if they hold public tastings. Many are free or require a small fee, but it is good to broaden your horizons a little. I personally find that tastings work better with at least one other person. That way you can actually bounce tasting notes back and forth while sipping a glass.

It is also useful to study the menu of where you plan on working. That way you can try to focus on not only what types of wine they are but the products you are directly dealing with. Speaking as someone who is trained on cocktails and spirits, learning about any type of booze from scratch can be pretty daunting until you get to understand the basics.

Damn blue cheese try-hards!

Havarti isn't in your list. That's my favorite. There are some good cheeses on that list. I like a good stinky cheese. I like a good soft cheese.
But I don't get why people like Brie. It's the worst fucking cheese. It's bitter and almost metallic tasting to me. Fucking gross. WORST CHEESE.

I'd also like to talk about cheddar. Two fucking groceries stores nearest to me carry only mild type cheddar. Fucking five different versions, brands or sizes of mild cheddar. No fucking medium, no fucking sharp.

This makes me unreasonably angry.

The best meal I've ever had was a piece of seared salmon that was then stuffed with a crab/brie filer. It was delicious.

Hospital I worked at served some damn good burgers in their cafeteria. Nice seedy buns , good sized patties, and actual whole pieces of lettuce rather than shredded.
