Hey /ck/, im looking for a limited ingredient meal plan to cover a weekly basis, with limited ingredients, lets say 5-10 per meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Im cooking for 2. Bonus points if its easy enough for someone who is essentially retarded in the kitchen.
hi /ck/, what can i do to add flavor to my black beans, whatever i add they still taste to fucking bland.
onions, bacon, cumin. Cumin is fucking strong and something of an acquired taste but it goes great with beans. Use small amounts first. Try slightly sweated off tomato paste, too.

When I eat black beans I usually add a bit off olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, herbs and a dab of yogurt at the table. They're delicious
I love Mind of a Chef, at least most of it, but I wasn't too engaged by the first episode of Chef's Table. What do you guys think of it?
Chef's table inspires me. Hearing about the failures and hardships of these, now amazing, chefs is very interesting to me.
Some episodes are a bit dull but the russian chef and the monk are very special.
Shoo shoo Netflix shill
How the fuck do I stop eggs from sticking to my stainless steel pot? I make the eggs the same way Ramsay does in his meme video, doesn't look like his pan gets all fucked up at the end.
Like they stick so bad I have to use a Brillo pad to clean it.
video I'm talking about btw

Too much on the heat, too little off.

Maybe it's just a shitty pot?
Seriously, when I got a set of ceramic pans the very first thing I did was to fry an egg over easy without additional oil or butter. And it turned out perfectly. Few weeks later of my roommates "misusing" the pans they were pretty much ruined.
Take care of your pans.
What the hell do I do with this shit? I have a lot of it. Besides chowder, what have you enjoyed with clams? Corn and clam chowder sounds kinda good but damn chowder is so typical. I need inspiration.
Pasta with clams, clams casino pizza, stuffed mushrooms, etc
c-clamburger?
i like to fry up some great clam fritters with this stuff
Add some onion and cayenne pepper
/ck/ I need some help to get out of the rut I've worked myself into. I've been burnt out for the last few months and have fallen into bad habits. Now I just have no energy or drive anymore ever since I was told my job is going at the end of the month. I'm not sleeping, washing, cleaning, or cooking. Every so often, I'll buy things to cook, then just eat them if they're vegetables or such as is or let them rot. I'm currently living off 75p ready meals.
How do I get back into not being a lazy piece of shit? I can't even remember favourite foods that I cooked.
Read some self help books
Start exercising
See a therapist
Confide in family and friends
Look for another job
Get some hobbies
This low energy problem goes beyond /ck/ and into the realm of depression.
>>9247100
Self help books are just a 100 pages of 'LOVE YOURSELF' or 'Just do it already.'
Exercising is something I used to do but since I failed AOSB, it reminds me of failure.
If I go to see a therapist they'll say I'm depressed and I won't be able to own firearms again. I had to give up shooting and sell them before moving to where I am and I want to get back into it one day but can't while I'm here.
I have no friends, my parents know and they're very supportive but ultimately it's all 'We're proud and love you even though you're a failure.
I'm doing this but I'm still working this one until the end of the month and can't think of much when I'm outside of work.
I had hobbies, I either can't do them here or just can't get the energy to do them.
>>9247256
Yea, self help books are bullshit. I feel you on the firearms/therapy, thing. It all depends on how deep you are right now. If you think you can get out of this rut without therapy, do it. If not, you might just have to give them up. What's more important, your mental health, or guns? Having no friends kind of sucks, but having a supportive family doesn't. Though I can understand the whole "We love you no matter what" speech. I'm sure that can be even more depressing than if they tried snapping you out of it. Keep up looking for a job, that is your gateway to new healthy friends and relationships. With that, new activities and hobbies may arise. And during this process, you should be exercising. That's the best thing you can be doing in the meantime. It will only remind you of failure if you keep failing at it. Once you reach any goals you set for yourself, it won't feel that way anymore. You'll have more energy, and overall feel better both physically and mentally.
That's all the input I have on your situation. All the best, dude.
Can someone help me understand this?
Where do the calories come from if there's only 2.7 grams of carbs in wine.

Ah, i see, thanks
Hi /ck/, are there any Texans/Mexicans here? I'm trying to find a real good, genuine, bean chilli recipe. Recipes, tricks, whatever are appreciated.
Thanks
>>9246892
Buy your chilies whole from a Latin grocery store, and get more than one kind.
I don't think Texans use beans in their chili bud
we don't have what you consider chili in México, the closest we have is frijoles rancheros or charros which is pretty close to fabada, I particulary like them with tomato, chile serrano, onion, bacon, chorizo and sausage, start with the bacon in a pan letting it fry in it's grease then the chorizo and finally the sausage, then the chile and onion and then the tomato, finally the beans, sorry if it doesn't make much sence but I don't really cook and those were the instructions I gave to my mother and now give to my gf, so they probably did a few other things, I suppose you can make this work
It's a shame that all 7-11's in my country provide very few selection of Monster flavors.

spoonfeeders not welcome
There is already a thread up, cunt.
Looking for any ideas of what to add to tuna salad. I know the typical thing is to toss it in storebought mayo with celery, but I'm trying to elevate it a bit by making an aioli, maybe adding some minced bell pepper, chives, etc.
Any and all ideas welcome
>>9246712
Start with tuna in olive oil instead of water. Open can. Drain off excess oil. You're done.
>>9246719
Any brands of tuna you could recommend?
>>9246712
Don't use canned tuna, sear a cut of fresh tuna but keep it rare. Mince, then toss with soy sauce, kewpie mayo, sesame seeds, and wasabi(real if you can get it).

haven't seen a fermented foods thread in a while. have this habenero, bell pepper, carrot, tumeric ferment going for 2 weeks now. Just took it out to clean out some kham yeast and was smelling very spicy, but the tumeric and carrot are coming through.
In another week I plan to blend it up and either strain it into a hot sauce bottle or let it ferment a bit longer. i was able to squeeze alot of water out when it started to ferment so I'm hoping straining won't be necessary.
The last thread I remember one anon mentioned he used tomato in most of the hot sauces he ferments. If you are still around do you have anything to say about what tomato adds to the process? Have a friend who is drowning in cherry tomatos. Does it matter which tomatos you've used?
You guys want to see my fermented cum bottles?
here is also a red cabbage and red onion kraut I jarred last week. Went out of town after that so having for the first time on a turkey sandwich for lunch. Very pungent. May have used too much red onion.
>>9246569
Can't say I've heard of carrot hot sauce, but it sounds good especially if that carroty sweetness comes through. I might want to try making some hot sauce myself, what's your process?
How do I shape pizza dough without a rolling pin?
>>9246506
By tossing/spinning it. You could also use a round object like a wine bottle in place of a rolling pin.
>>9246506
>things youtube could answer in 2minutes
buy a rolling pin... I remove the handles.
the regular ones made with cubes n etc. are boring for me. so does ck have any ebin broth recipes to share? im looking for 2 to 3 to try. im interested in making them for noodle mostly
tell me your or some god tier ones plox
>>9246466
The standard recipe is very simple:
8 lbs bones & meaty scraps
1 lb mirepoix
4 quarts water.
Simmer gently. Figure about 3 hours for poultry, 8 hours for red meats. If you have a pressure cooker you can do it in roughly 1/3 the time.
>>9246466
Ramen pork broths are pretty God tier. But they're really time consuming.

Seafood broth is pretty good. Just a bunch of shells and veggies to make.
