they used to sell these in convenience stores where i live. taste isn't bad and actually found i slept easier after having one. pretty sure they are fortified with melatonin, so it's conceivably not a placebo effect.

I am an American and thus demand instant gratification with all things, especially food. That aside you can make some good pickled okra real easy but it never comes out with my preferred texture. It's always tough like eating a shirt or too soft and mushy. Been meaning to make mead too which is somewhat of a similar concept.

You don't really need specific recipes. Just take stewish things and cook them in the pot.

get lentils and split peas. you can do lots with those as the main filler. of course you will need broth/bullion, as well as tomato sauce.
