>notice mcdonalds near my job has 2 of those curbside app order parking spots
>decide to download the app since the DT line is always long af
>while at work notice how easy it is to set up orders
>even notice things on the menu i didnt even know they had
>plan on ordering before i leave the house so its ready as i arrive
>next day get ready to leave for work
>open up app
>items still in the lil bag up top
>tap on it
>"no mobile ordering stores near you"
>go back to the main menu
>click online ordering
>it says none near me
>quickly realize you cant move the search area
>its only based on your GPS
>meaning i cant actually place my order until im already at the location
>completely ruining the entire point of ordering ahead of time
I work at a paint store and you wouldn't believe the amount of people that either show up at the wrong store looking for an order or call in an order to the wrong store. Now imagine if we had ten times as many locations, more variables in the product to fuck up, and ten times as many customers all with even lower IQs and shorter tempers than the ones we normally get. It would be a disaster and wouldn't last more than a few months. We'd have people screaming at us because their order wasn't ready and we'd be mistinting dozens of gallons each day.
Though if you had to pay ahead of time that would definitely provide some motivation to make it to the right location. Still wouldn't be worth the potential increase in sales. McD's is already fast. I had no idea there was a McDonald's ordering app and I can't imagine why anyone would use it in the first place.

I can't imagine living the kind of life where having to wait a normal amount of time for my Big Mac was something I was looking to bypass
>and i take the highway before hand so trying to navigate my phone would be a bitch, plus theres now the distracted driving law bullshit
Are you arguing for or against long distance ordering? I can't tell. You shouldn't be doing anything on your phone while you're driving on the highway.
>>9316457
There is no point. The whole thing is fucking stupid. Order it like a normal person or don't order it at all.
Who /cobb/ here?

what ive done (being a /fit/ fag) is use greek yogurt, parsley, garlic powder, and blue cheese mixed together. it certainly does its job, but a more traditional recipe would probably be better

Can I own a restaurant and have nothing to do with its day to day operations ie berkshire hathaway of restauraunts
>>9316254
Yes you hire a manager
>>9316254
bourdain really looks down on people who do that
>>9316254
Why do you want to do that though? Unless you're buying a string of franchises you won't be making very much money, so you'd better actually be interested in the business.
I love every kind of amaro and genepi I've ever had.
Will I like this?
>>9316253
no. no one likes it. it tasted like burnt pennies and earwax.
fernet branca is the patrician choice.

I'm having a Fernet-Branca and soda right now :)
Sometimes the price of real cheese fluctuates and it becomes too expensive for dollar stores to carry it so they replace it with something called "pasteurized process topping".
Nowhere on the package does it say "cheese", it's only relation to cheese is the inclusion of casein protein and sometimes it doesn't even have that.
The package clearly states that it doesn't melt and why would you buy shredded cheese if you don't intend to melt it?
Who the fuck buys this shit?
It's like they make this product for the sole purpose of tricking people who don't pay attention, and it's not actually edible food because they know nobody is going to eat it after they throw it in the microwave and notice it doesn't melt at all, rather it curls up like plastic.
It's for salads and stuff where melting or lack of it is a nonissue.
>>9316223
No, its for people who are utterly without direction.

Why is the quality of vegetables in a typical American grocery store so terrible?
Half the shit are wilted and the rest are overgrown to detriment of texture and taste (way too thick and tough, taste bitter, etc.).
>>9315531
Lack of emphasis on keeping things seasonal and generally shit taste.
As an American I realized after traveling for a while that that a lot of our food is all about added sugar and salt so no one really cares about having flavorful fresh ingredients. We just butter and sugar until it's interesting
>>9315531
Go to Harris Teeter
It was a wake up call seeing their shelfs lined with actual herb and vegetables instead of those small overpriced, low quantity, low quality plastic containers.
>>9315531
Americlap veggies are literally engineered/selected for appearance over flavor, since Burgers are easily fooled with good looks.
