I've been using a basic recipe for egg noodles - Flour, eggs, milk, butter, and salt. The noodles form and cook well, but the flavor is a bit lacking. Does /ck/ have any suggestions for what I can add to the noodles themselves to make them more flavorful? The only suggestions I've heard so far involve adding a shitload of butter once they are boiling.

Why in the holy mother of hell is it so hard to find spumoni in stores? I've been to 7 different markets in the last week none of them had it in stock, hell half of them didn't even seem to carry it. Yep. Caul fat. Not even the butchers could get it for me. I finally gave up and mail-ordered some. I had to buy 20 lbs. I portioned it up, cryovaced it, and stuck it in the freezer.
I also had the same problem with finding very large hog casings for sausage. Butcher had 'em but would only sell them in a massive 5-gal bucket, which is far more than I needed. Had to mail order those as well.
