lol Sweetos
They're shit.
Taste like a cereal that tries to be a chip.
Or a chip trying to be a cereal.
Really savory with a distinct corn flavor throughout.

Are you me? Also these are great, btw, try them if you haven't already.

bump for interest

What'd you haul in, degenerate weeb?
how do I get batter to stick to onion rings?
I always end up with a fry basket full of caked-on batter, and no batter on the actual onion
>>8783855
you could flour the onion rings, then batter them?
Soak the rings in milk/water, coat in seasoned flour, shake off excess flour, dip in batter, gently drop into oil.
the hotter the oil, the less chance batter drips off. same with frying an egg. the hotter the pan, the tighter the egg.
Why does this exist?
That stuff is great for chili. You don't even have to drain that little bit of fat.
>>8783991
>Using ground beef for chili
LOL
for things like cabbage rolls that you cook with the raw meat in
Hello faggots! any secret/special tips for a great, tasty chili?
>sear the shit out of some beef, finely chopped onions and jalapenos that's been salted and had your chili seasonings of choice
>once everything is cooked and all the water has evaporated and it's browned and there's a fond on the bottom of the pan, throw in some grated/crushed garlic and mix it in, then add some salsa and your beans (complete with the bean cum if they came in a can, that shit's just thickened, protein rich water with a lot of the bean flavor in it)
>add enough beef broth to cover, add chili seasoning to your taste and simmer until the beans are about falling apart, mash some if your cooking liquid isn't thick enough for your taste
>if you do tomato-chili, add a cup of espresso.
>there is no such thing as "too much garlic"
>lime juice and fresh coriander if no tomatos, bean-only-chili
>cumin OR monks pepper. do use one, don't use both.
>>8783573
put beans in it
Is it possible that all this time a chicken pot pie has been the tastiest thing a person can eat and people just didn't realize it?
>>8783552
if it was so tasty wed be eating it all the time
>>8783552
Shepherds pies are superior.
The marie callender ones are fucking delicious.. theyre also like a bazillion calories.
Oil goes in a cold pan or hot pan?
Hot pan, be sure to throw some ice cubes for the cool flavour.
Lukewarm pan
>>8783549
When you add the oil makes no fucking difference.
The only thing that matters is that the pan needs to be hot before you put the food in.
Ketosis thread!
Today I'm eating lots of spinach, grilled chicken, a bit of cottage cheese and some nuts. I would like to try some fried fish soon, just not sure on what to use for breading. Maybe ground walnuts?
Share your low/no carb recipes and snack ideas!
You can buy almond flour at Walmart. Costco actually has a shitload of keto stuff too.
How about not breading your fish

*gasp!!*
Everytime I eat something I am ending its life plant animal or otherwise I just dont know what the fuck to do.
Is my conscious existence worth more or less than that of a cow? I think not!
>Is my conscious existence worth more or less than that of a cow? I think not!
How little self esteem does someone have to have to think they're worth less than a cow?
>>8783496
your existence should be worth more to you than that cows existence should be worth to you
the cows existence is probably worth more to the cow than your existence is to the cow, but that's why you have the gun

can we please get some /water/ discussion going? Post god tier/shit tier brands, filters etc.
I'll start: is there a worse fucking brand of water than this? I hate to sound like a spoiled bitch but no memes at all, I can't drink this water. Undrinkable, yet everybody else around me chugs it like there's no tomorrow. I can't place my finger on it. There's a taste to it, and a texture, that feels unnatural. I've only met one other person who feels similarly. And i'm not even joking, you could not force me to drink this water. I would puke
On a lighter note: Aquafina and Dasani are still killing it, like always. Can't go wrong with Crystal Geyser either.
I hear tap water is pretty good
>>8783390
I buy family dollar brand spring water.
It is fine.
On another note, there is literal pool water coming out of american taps and it's fucking pissing me off.
I travelled across the country to find better water but all that comes out is more and more chlorine. What the fuck did we do to ourselves disowning fluoride? Apparently it was a pipe disinfectant and now we have to have fucking bleach instead.
I kind of want the fluoride back, even though it's poison.
>>8783390
Dasani and aquafina are just filtered tap water. Which use to be waste water
They do add minerals for taste tho.
and it's basically the most shitty pleb-tier spread you can buy. Palm oil product which has nothing to do with neither chocolate nor hazelnuts is overhyped and glorified by children, fatfucks and tumblerinas "muhhh NUtE lLa mmmmm", overpriced as fuck and claiming it's good is only acceptable if you are nutella promoter or a five year old.
Prove me wrong.
it's basically spreadable chocolate-flavored sugar
people who claim to like their shitty hazelnoot spread can fuck off
>>8783285
But it's made from hazlenuts so it must be healthy!
hi seekay can we get a tomato sauce thread going? i'm trying to learn to make specifically sauce for pasta (or pizza, not really sure what the seasoning differences are). i eventually want to venture into salsa and hot sauces, but again i'm really not sure where to start.
recipes? recommendations/tips?
>>8783230
>recipes? recommendations/tips?
Oregano is yummy put oregano in it.
>>8783230
I made a salsa the other day. All you need for sauces is a blender, some jars, and your necessary ingredients. Salt and/or lemon juice work as decent preservatives so you can store your sauce for up to a couple of weeks in the fridge.
By the way, "canning" is a boiling process I only do with vegetables from my garden like peeled tomatoes or some homemade pickles. Those could store well for a year and have been stored that long before with no difference in taste.
For generic red Italian food sauce, oregano goes well like >>8783236 said, and I like to include a little onion and garlic powder, too.
So, OP, what kind of pasta are we talking here? Spaghetti?
>>8783230
The more fresh ingredients you can use, the better it will be. I'd use fresh basil, onion, and garlic if possible.
How do you peeps live for next to nothing, foodwise?
here are some things I do/have done:
>eat at missions/soup kitchens (more meat than you get at a food bank)
>use food banks (mostly bread, dairy, and veggies)
>fill up water jugs at a public park water fountain
>apply for food stamps (easy as shit, just takes a week or two or three to get your card)
I posted a bunch of generic , well known ways to get foods, but would love to hear some obscure methods you people use!
Bear in mind that, unless you're below about 5% bodyfat, you don't actually need to eat every day.
>>8783213
Need is one thing. But who has the willpower to skip eating an entire waking day just to save money?
>>8783218
I imagine it would be a lot easier if you were aware of the health benefits of fasting.
This shit right here.
This shit is the best. I'm expanding my pb&j repertoire and I stumbled upon this creation:
Peanut Butter (I like crunchy but either works)
Strawberry Jam
Bananas
and combine them on the grainiest, most fibrous bread you've got in your kitchen (toasted if you're truly patrician)
Serve with milk.
Who else creates peanut butter and jelly (or jam!) sandwiches and REALLY enjoys them?
What other recipes do you guys use?
>>8783136
With bananas and strawberry sounds really good, it's practically a dessert at that point.
I'm a simple guy: good bread, toasted, a little butter and then raspberry or cherry jam and crunchy peanut butter. Saskatoon berry or chokecherry if you can manage to hunt those down.
Anyone have experience making their own energy drinks?
Was thinking of modeling it after NOS

is it as easy has mixing juice, caffeine and carbonated water?
>1 liter of carbonated water
>10 centiliters of fruit juice
>100 grams of sugar
>5000 milligrams of ground caffeine pills
>piss in it for more authentic taste
