r8 my dinner
>>8788497
>nearly 20 dollars for a quarter pound burger, some fries and a shake
overpriced/10
>>8788497
Did you just order a five dollar shake?
how do you like your offal stuffed intestines, /ck/?
give me a coney dog any day of the week, especially since you can get them for $1 anywhere in michigan
Lot of ketchup.
I have them boiled and on a piece of fucking white bread from the store with a bunch of sliced dill pickle
i wish legit coneys weren't so hard to find in chicago ;__________;
nothing against the standard chili cheese dog of course
When did your body finally lose the battle to keep ingesting this poison?
24, drank it nonstop from childhood to early 20s with no apparent problems. Now it's recently occurred to me that just drinking a small cup of it almost instantaneously causes my stomach to feel unwell, abdominal cramping to persist through the rest of the day, flatulence that smells like death, and inevitable diarrhea.
Why do we drink this stuff?
>>8788338
Because we aren't you and it's a source of fat, sugar, and protein
>>8788338
I have to eat a lot of cheese before it starts affecting me desu
>>8788338
19 here, started stinking up buildings at 14 when i drank milk, never had a problem with cheese though. Tried milk the other day after a few years of none and now I cant fucking stand the taste of it
Eggplant, prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted peppers, tomato, basil, olive oil.
p good anon did u make it?
Looks yummy
>>8788235
When you have eggplant and mozzarella the prosciutto is kid of gilding the lily. I would have left it out and enjoyed it some other way later. Still I bet it was good as fuck.
What's your favourite? Usually I'll go for Dr. Pepper or Cherry Coke, but my all time favourite is pic related. Dad moved to Mexico in '09 and I'd vacationed there a few times before. Manzana Lift is the most delicious shit I've ever drank, but I cannot find it in Canada for the fucking life of me
What's your favourite 'domestic,' and your favourite 'import,' if you have one?
>>8788201
I miss when Taco Bell had Manzanita Sol on fountain, that stuff was really good. Now the only place I can find any kind of Mexican-style apple soda is the random dollar store that sells Sidral Mundet.
for me, its the high fructose corn syrup
served on ice
>>8788201
This shit just appeared randomly in our small town one day and I swear I'm the only one that drinks it but oh my god it's fucking superb
Making some molasses oatmeal bread. I haven't bread in quite awhile and I was never very good, but lets hope I did well.
>>8788081
For dinner I'm making meatball subs. I've had three strong drinks at this point so this should be fun. Stay tuned. Wont be much action while the dough rises.
>>8788081
Interesting
Relate recipe and technique
Ugh. I guess I have to start with cleaning up after the roommates.
H-how do I coat a bun in egg yolk without a brush?
Dumb week poster
>>8787772
use your dick duh
>>8787776
I do not have one.
>>8787773
jokes on you, I'm a daily poster.
What the hell am I supposed to do about this
I fee like throwing everything out and getting new dishes
Just use disposable then?
>>8787523
Remember Titus 1:15: "To the Pūr all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe nothing is pūre"
>>8787523
This image legitimately angers me, I have roommates that do this and have the gall to bitch at me for not being clean enough
How often do you intentionally mispronounce words to seem like a regular normal guy?
Conversely, how often do you intentionally use terms like "courgette" or "bleu cheese" or saying "coriander" instead of "cilantro", in order to seem more fancy?
No, I use those terms because they're normal because I'm english.
There's no reason to call it bleu cheese though. Plenty of non-french regions have been producing blue cheese for centuries.
>How often do you intentionally mispronounce words to seem like a regular normal guy?
I don't
>how often do you intentionally use terms like "courgette" or "bleu cheese" or saying "coriander" instead of "cilantro"
Regional differences
Only do it to upset people I know.
Sausage? Or meatball?
Decide quickly, your life depends on it
>>8786558
>no pork shank
Shit sunday gravy OP.
Looks like something I made in the toilet
>>8786567
why is pork shank required? most tomato sauce i've had has only ever had sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, and braciole
Can you guys tell me what sugars or sweeteners are better for you than the others?
No.
>>8786548
Agave nectar and honey are best.
>>8786548
Artificial sweeteners such as Saccharin (Sweet 'N Low), Sucralose (Splenda), and Aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet), etc. have zero calories because they have no absorb-able food energy value in the body whereas sucrose (table sugar) has 16 cal/tsp which make them better for you from a weight management perspective.
Natural sweetener like maple syrup or honey contain trace minerals along with their sugar load but are otherwise empty calories.
As far as your pancreas sees it, any form of absorbable sugar whether it's agave, high fructose corn syrup, regular fructose grocery store corn syrup, molasses, etc. all breakdown into glucose in the blood.
The best you could do, absent just eating whole fresh fruits in their own, is to get some whole dried fruits like raisins, prunes, dates, etc. that have their natural sugar content concentrated and process them into a powdered DIY sugar in a blender. Then at least you'll get all of their intact phytonutrients and fiber content along with the sweetness.

Is ancient Dijon the best kind of mustard?
Looking for contenders.
>>8786500
You don't make your own?
Bit of beer (i like porters or geuze), mustard seeds and vinegar
>>8786500
Give this a go.
It's delicious.
>>8786549
>with a rich beef stock
do want
What do you guys think of ceramic knives?
>>8786486
They're knives made of ceramic, anon.
No big deal.
>>8786486
Zircon composite blades are neat until they chip, which they often do...then they're useless. If you baby them they'll be a "forever sharp" option to utilize in your kitchen that require little to no maintenance. I have a few Kyocera blades tucked away somewhere in my pantry.
Just buy serrated knives you lazy FUCK
So my boss wants to host a dinner party at P.F. Chang's, and I've never been and never even had Chinese food before. Anyone know anything good on the menu? I feel like if i order the kid's chicken tenders I'll get fired
>>8785776
just order what you think sounds good.
I don't think americanized chinese food has anything unpalatable for a manchild, so you should be good
EVERYTHING THERE
ahem, sorry about the caps. everything there is good. their appetizers, entrees, rice, egg rolls, liquor selection, etc.
i always get the general cho chicken. sweet and sour soup. ice water with a lemon wedge.
>>8785790
you gotta go back
Workers of /ck/, share your stories
>customer sees me working on slicing meat for 3 OTHER customers
>goes and bothers the manager about "no one in the deli wants to give him service"
>my boss has to leave her break to come and fix this guy a plate because he's impatient
some fucking people
Did you say "ill be with you in a second sir" or something like that? because if you didn't I could see how the guy would feel ignored if you didn't acknowledge him
>>8785449
i no say that
>>8785449
>wave to them
>this isn't a way of saying "hello"
I try to be nice but some people.
