Hey /ck/
I'm going to Vegas with my family for the first time.
I only really care about the food and stripclubs
Where can I eat in Vegas?
Nothing, there is no food in Vegas.
Bring a bagged lunch.

I know that Gordon Ramsey has a restaurant there, but I never tried it.
If you see a stand that sells waffles on a stick, eat it. That shit is bomb.
There's also a Japanese place in the Luxor/Mandalay Bay hotel, so definitely try that.

McDonald's.
$19.52CAD/kg ($6.64USD/lb) for chicken breast seems completely overpriced.
I've noticed a stead increase in chicken prices over the last few years.
What are you paying in the US?
just picked up some chicken breast for $1.47/lb, got leg meat (skinless/boneless) a couple of days ago for $1.00/lb with a 25% discount because it was at the sell by date
>>8796281
The cheapest price i paid this year for boneless skinless chicken breast was $1.57USD/lb. American Southwest area.
I pay 3 dollars per pound in texas at our biggest retailer HEB
7 a pound is a joke.
i bought a coconut and it's rotten and i am upset
>>8796234
you sure? looks okay to me
Move to florida theres trees full of them
I wonder how much coconut oil can be extracted from a single coconut. I imagine it being a huge effort to create one jar of coconut oil, yet the stuff is becoming relatively cheap.
Just started eating mixed nuts with no salt. Holy shit. Salt was just covering up all these deliciously distinct flavors. Don't get me wrong, I love salt, but salted nuts are just unnecessary.
What other foods have you had experiences with like this? Times you realized you were gimping your favorite snacks or dishes.
yeah stop eating those. pure fat.
>>8796190
its da good fat nigga
>>8796166
Almonds and cashews mixed with cold cut cheddar and parmesan chesse
Why is lamb virtually completely absent from American cooking?
>>8796032
I only really noticed this once I moved out of the states and started seeing ground lamb and other lamb products in every grocery store
It's really a shame, I love lamb as much as or more than beef
>>8796032
It's only absent in flyover territory
I see it everywhere. Most restaurants, every grocery store. Kill yourself.
I'm an eastern yuro and I've been thinking about trying one of these for a while.
The question is: which do I order?
I imagine marmite would be easier/cheaper to get in Europe. As a brit i can anttest that marmite is disgusting though.
>>8795968
Order both along with a trashcan so you can throw them away as soon as you get them
>>8795973
I was going to order from amazon anyway.
I cannot into portions
if I am to cook for example, a leg of lamb with mashed potatoes for 8 people how much do I make?
or maybe I should make paella instead??
the important thing is there can't be much leftovers because it will go to waste since we are just passing through and can't take it with us
>leftovers
What do you mean by this?
>>8795969
a common term used for food, that is "left over" once everyone is finished eating
800 calories per person * 8 = 6400 calories
150-200g meat per person *8 = 1500g meat = 2000-3000 calories
+ 4000 calories from potatoes, vegetables, sauce and condiments
= 3000 calories potatoes = 4.2 kg potatoes (10 pounds)
Bienenstich.
imho would feed to dog
What a shit name, why would anyone want to eat a bee sting?
>>8796239
>>8796433
WTF? Bienenstich is fucking delicious.
Im not a native speaker, how do you call this thing, that looks like shop cooler display, with glass up front, but instead of cooling, it has a wide metal plate, and you can fry stuff on it?
It's often used in asian food places, but also sometimes in bakeries or italian food restaurants.
>>8795875
Why do people think a baby getting food all over itself is the cutest thing? It's disgusting.
>>8795878
You will understand when you become a father.
>>8795882
Maybe.
>tfw you are completely and utterly garbage at cooking
How do I get better? Every time I fail something I want to never try cooking again.
>>8795821
Have you tried having sex with your oven or microwave so they'd be more inclined not to burn your food?
>>8795821
Keep trying the fuck ups are some of the best memories
>>8795827
What an incredible, outstanding comment anon. I wish you the best in life.
Which one do you prefer?
>>8795766
Smashburger
burger king, but maybe it's just because they are rare in the netherlands.
For me it is the Big Carl. The char grilled meaty taste of the Whopper dressed like the timeless original meme burger with extra meat instead of a retarded ass middle bun.
10/10 would recommend
For me, it is Classico Roasted Garlic, the best pasta sauce
For me it is Emeril's roasted gaaaaahlic, the best pasta sauce
For me it is Raos, the best sauce
Bertolli vodka sauce master race
i need some good chicken recipes
fried chicken is nice, i also like t use the tighs for curry or just cook with a mustard sauce or just a simple stir fry
what else is there to do with chicken?
>>8795641
Poach it, grill it, smoke it, make chicken sausage. Bake it. Roast it. Stew. Soup. Pies.
>>8795641
Make some orange chicken.
Dutch food thread.
Dutch friend coming over, what should I ask him to bring with him?
How far does he have to travel?
>>8795597
stroopwaffels, bitterballen, rijsttafel, frikandel speciaal, kapsalon and some jenever or jajem also try honingdrop
>>8795614
This is why I asked how far the fucker has to travel.
Half of this stuff is deep fried. You're not taking that on an hour long car ride let alone an airplane ride.
>Tries vegemite for the first time
>Spreads it extra thick and without butter
>"Durr hurr vegemite is so gross!"
Why do you all do this? It's supposed to be spread THIN, with butter, or margarine if you're a softcunt
>>8795575
I love that stuff. Marmite too.
I suspect the people who layer it on thick are simply ignorant about how you're supposed to use it, which is hardly surprising. Why would people who have never tasted a given food before know how to serve it?
>>8795575
Why don't they just sell butter with the proper amount blended in? Seems like an intelegent approach to selling a product that has a learning curve...
>>8795575
Vegemite is fucking amazing. I have an Australian relative and when I'm over his house I'll sneak into his cabinet and get into his Vegemite stash. His is always in a tube, and I'll stand there, squeeze it onto my fingertip, and just eat it like that until someone comes into the kitchen.
