Thoughts on Mtn Dew? I've got a two liter of this green slime ass shit
What do you feel about it? I always thought it was more of a redneck drink for some reason, but I guess I'm gonna drink this since I have it, never did before
>>8812695
I love it.
It's for teens and rednecks.
I used to drink it all the time as a kid, then lost about 20 pounds when I stopped. It's basically sugar flavored sugar water.
It's good I got a 2 liter of it too
Tried mixing it with vodka last night it was surprisingly real gross but I kept drinking it anyway
I actually drank about .75 liters of Popov vodka and I've been nauseous all day
I need to get a grill. I don't know if I should go with a gas grill or a charcoal grill. I love grilling.
I like that a gas grill is simple and clean. I like the versatility of a charcoal grill and the taste.
I don't have space for two grills. However, I am willing to spend some money if I find something that can do both.
Any suggestions?
buy outdoor gas griddle, not grill. grill = cancer

there are no grills on /ck/

smoker with a gas, offset firebox.
Are military rations a financially stable way to live? As in, can I continue buying rations to stay healthy without any other food sources?
>>8812209
No those things are designed to make you constipated.
>NICE HISS
Not enough fiber
>>8812209
It's relative. It's not the healthiest shit in the world but it's not the worst either. Also they are expensive as fuck so I don't know why you would even consider it unless you are planning to steal them from a base. They are like 6-12$ a meal.
Rip Smirnoff bro
That's really sweet of you anon, thank you. I am still here however as I find myself practically dying from exhaustion every time I attempted to scale the tree which I'd mentally noted would be suitable for my purposes.
Not sure /ck/ needs a thread dedicated to me, but nice to know there are supportive people out there. These threads have helped me substantially. I hope they continue to help the rest of you.
Brb looking for a fkn ladder or... something.

Assuming you were sincere then thanks. You too.
Actually even if you weren't, thanks for the chuckle.

For my famous five alarm chili recipe, it all starts here
Neighbor, how long has it been since you had a big, thick, steaming bowl of Wolf Brand Chili? Well, that's too long!
Open that joker up and get it in a bowl, looking good
Behold...the first secret ingredient
Hoo boy, getting spicy with secret ingredient number two!
So is this place worth a hour drive and back?
>>8810771
Depends on what you order, but at least once just to try it? Yeah.
>>8810779
Mainly the Italian beef, and thanks.
>>8810781
Then yes absolutely.
It's worth another trip for the hotdogs too.
During my lunches I like to make alfredo sauce, it's always simple, easy and tasty. As long as I'm not a fucking numpty and screw up my roux. What sauces do you like to make /co/? What's your favorite mother sauce?
Do you just eat it like a soup...?
>>8810770
no I usually put it on pasta and chicken with mushrooms or whatever else I have in my fridge I might want to put in.
I'm not a caveman
When I need sauce, I usually make it. I make my own salad dressing, I make dipping sauces when I make pretzels, and I make pizza sauce.
>favorite mother sauce
Probably mayo as a base, though mustard is good too to give a lot of flavor.
For a single piece was lost, a shard of the Krystal
I like White Castle
>>8811616
Not steamed onion no slider not for me MOM
Which would you eat first?
>>8809977
If this were a challenge, the answer would be tacos then burritos then the trash on the left
>>8809977
Tacos first since they get soft the fastest. The "mexican pizza" or whatever the hell they call it next. Burritos last.
>>8809977
I would toss both and drink a glass of pure water instead.
For me, it's a glass of pure water.
I wanna make a mint birthday cake. i plan to make the cake chocolate with the mint mixed into the cake batter and pair it with a frosting that's slightly sweet; but not over powering.
Since i only have enough cash to buy ingredients for one cake, i can't experiment with recipes. yet i found massive variance in recipes I found online.
So has Anyone here ever made such a cake before or have recommendations for what kind of frosting i could use or what cake base recipe i should use to mix with the mint?
>buy chocolate icecream mix
>add mint syrup
>icecream ends up looking like concrete
>>8809458
that could be cool for the icecream
>>8809440
i'm leaning toward using a Meringue Buttercream for the frosting, but unsure if i should use red velvet for the cake batter or if a deep chocolate would work better.
If you owned a movie theater, what sort of food would you serve? Me? I'd serve crab legs.
>>8805488
various dishes containing pig
>>8805488
For me, it's a glass of pure water.

What are some restaurants, local specialities, or culture every tourist or resident should enjoy in the Houston Texas area? Local chains, hidden gems, famous bbq etc?
>>8787408
Or on the way to Houston even, we'll be travelling in on i-30 then swinging down 45 to Houston
The Cheesecake Factory in the galleria or you could go to eddie v's; expensive and mehokay
You can always stop at a Buckees and get some beef jerky or shit on the way down 45
>>8787614
this. also Panera bread is pretty good, and there's a Maggianos downtown
What novels/series do you guys think have the best food descriptions? For me it's the Redwall series and the Stormlight Archives.
>>8813869

>>8813869
Redwall was fucking GOAT.
>>8813869
You could have provided a passage from one of the books as an example.
