Figured I'd ask here because I have no idea where else to ask. A simple (and maybe dumb?) question, it's my first time trying out cooking and so far the last few days have gone great but I'd like to try a crock pot stew, just some beef and a bunch of vegetables. I'd like to add some beef broth but I'm so against how much sodium it has in it, I won't touch it. What are some tasty alternatives to beef broth? I tried to google but I got a lot of "just use chicken broth" instead kind of answers.

You could always try using pork.

>What are some tasty alternatives to beef broth?
Just make your own stock. It's super easy, and you can even use your crock pot to do it.

You could also buy low-sodium broth from the supermarket but homemade is going to be much much better.

this

you can also use wine or dark beer for beef stew.

Double dip back into the egg mixture then breadcrumb
>>
>>8830830

flour->egg wash->breading.

make sure you let the breading dry a little before you deep fry it.

put them in the fridge for an hour or two before frying

Is there anything more beta and pathetic than a 'craft beer' drinker? Lol. I bartend part time and I always get a chuckle out of seeing someone order their overpriced estrogen-laced IPA

You get $20 a week?
I get $20 a month. I buy 10 gallons of water, some ham, several slices of cheese, bread, and then send angry letters to the DHHR the rest of the month.

Hello /ck/ uni fag here.
What are some fast cooking meats that i can put along with my noodles, so that all i have to do is put boiling water on it and it cooks along with the noodles?

Im thinking dehydrated meat but i dont know where i can get hold of that stuff.
Also would prawns work?

Also what are some spices to make it taste better? (asides from the seasoning that comes in the packet)

Apparently Church's Chicken is selling fried chicken for 65 cents from 2 - 4 the next few days. I've never been to Church's. Is their chicken good? What about their sides, which ones are the best?

Chicken is fair, sides are an abomination. Get spicy chicken. People here swear by their biscuits but I think they're terrible.

The slaw and potatoes are...adequate. The gravy's pretty good. The biscuits are great, especially dipped in the gravy.

Considering Tabasco sauce is just vinegar and red food coloring, no, I can't imagine it will.

i thought it was meant to be spicy and pepper too?

I am a little too plump for the a simple female chump who I'd love to hump but am currently stumped. Am considering disregarding my taste buds in hopes of losing weight. Is soylent my lord and savior? If you have experience with this drink, which flavor to go for? I was thinking nectar or original.

Based on what you just wrote, losing weight isn't going to help you with women at all

Buy a 32 box or a 72 box.

Drink one for breakfast and one for dinner. Eat whatever you want for lunch. Get into a good exercise routine too.

I drank soylent for about 2 weeks with no exercise, and replaced it as 1 or 2 meals per day. I lost about 5lb with no effort. So if you really want to get a big supply and exercise, you'll be fine.

I've recently found that I really enjoy horseradish now, even though I disliked it as a kid.

Any good recipes or favorite applications? I've only been using it on beef so far and I'd like to expand.

Who /pickyeater/ here?
I've been an extremely picky eater all my life, I don't use condiments, I don't like sauces, I don't like any fish or seafood aside from calamari, and I eat hotdogs and hamburgers with nothing on them just the meat and bun.
I'm trying to branch out and eat more but it's hard, I can't make myself like something that tastes like shit to me. I couldn't even eat fried rice or blackened chicken until I was 27
I'm not the only one am I?

Squid is shit tier seafood

Just can't do it man, I've tried a bunch of different fish, lobster, crab, can't eat more than a couple bites of any of it. Hell I can't even eat spaghetti if there's sauce on it.

Anyone here work in a restaurant or bar?

What are the entry level positions like?

I might have a chance to get a job in the back of a yuppie style casual dining restaurant/bar (you know the type - big drink menu, $17 - $35 entrees, big outdoor patio, etc) and I'm not sure what to expect. I used to work in a factory, so being on my feet and being hot/sweaty isn't a big deal.
