Hmm, at first I was gonna tell everyone to calm down and that it looks like a shadow in the snow from something behind her that we can't see, but then I noticed some of the smudginess continues onto her knee where the red stripe is.

If it isn't her petticoat, I'm guessing she photoshopped the edge of the skirt to make it curve out perfectly - it could've indented slightly and she didn't like it so she tried to make the curvature/flare of the skirt more perfect.

I don't want to rag on this too hard since she seems like a beginner. She just learned babbys first coording rules that say choose a color from the print and use it for your peripheral items, however she doesn't yet have the advanced eye to know that yellow tights almost alway look yucky and in photos its hard to tell the colors of her blouse and tights are in the dress. She should dial it back a little and only go for black and sax accessories, white blouse, for example.

The one you have on is kinda boxy and thick at the wrist. It hides the smallest part of your arm, overall making your arm look wider. You want something slightly puffed and loose at your upper arm that maybe ends in a little flare of lace or a ruffle at your elbow or forearm area. If you don't have shapewear yet, try it. It really makes the bodice area look better in these soft tailored dresses.

It's good to try new things. Sometimes coords look better in real life but we only have a photo to go on, and not a very high quality one. One tip is if your shoes are not a neutral (white, beige, brown, black) then your legwear choice becomes really important. Sax blue next to yellow is a non traditional combo that is a bit jarring. The same yellow/gold tights with black shoes might be ok though.

Chinese brides are traditionally no longer part of their "birth" families after marriage. They would move to the new village/house of their husband's family, and not have much contact with their own except for certain holidays, because they were too busy caring for their husband, children, and their husband's elders.

It still has some impact today, though. My sister-in-law got married and no longer is invited to family weddings, for example.

Obviously, different families treat this tradition differently, and it also depends on where you live/where your family came from, and all that usual immigrant confusion.

For those of us with very strong prescriptions, it's difficult to order online. Even if I can get the lenses I need and the frames are cheap, I need them fitted to my face and adjusted by a professional. Even with insurance allowances, it's easily $400 for my frames and lenses. Investing in a good pair that work with your face is better than cheap trendy pairs that won't fit properly.
