You could probably mod a thrifted ladies coat or business suit and go somewhere in between. Use extra fabric from the skirt if it's long or coat to cover the top hat for a more cohesive look. The structure will probably look better than most handmade jackets and the material will look better than bought.

Hanayo is a good fit for girls a bit heavier in the thighs. Nozomi is good for bustier girls.

Also, depending on the outfit too. I'm on the chubbier side but I'm doing the choir version of Eli since it's all loose pieces.

Damn, I swear this hardest thing is picking an outfit I want to cosplay. I'm tied between cosplaying idolized Masquerade, Victorian, Cyber, and Ghost Maki.. and I feel like once I choose one and start making it, they'll put out a new card that I want to cosplay.

Does anyone else get burned out of events easily? The past few months for every event I actually play, I skip 2 events. I just can't bring myself to play even if it's my favorite girl.

Doesn't help that I've been playing a lot of Starlight Stage where playing songs and keeping track of stamina is more enjoyable.

I've gotten the same way.

Been playing over a year on EN and almost a year on JPN, I've managed to tier at least once for every girl except Nico and Nozomi. Hell I even went for T1 on the final JPN event of 2015, but I just don't really play unless I'm trying to FC a song between events.

I really hope they come up with a way to keep players interested.

Yeah that's what they're doing, which was pretty obvious considering they had Aquours songs on rotation for a while.

Trust me to have my fave girl as Rin who isn't just pretty flatchested but slender and long limbed. I'm short which should work to my advantage but just makes my chest look larger than it is (UKDD) so I'm chomping at the bit a little.

The new set is so pretty I hate it. Because I don't have any gems left after trying for Umi twice last month.

I never figured they'd release something like a Fairy set during this time of the year, the whole set looks more like it's spring themed then anything.

Just check feedback to see if a shop is reputable. They have a lot of feedback and their scores are good so it's probably trustworthy. Just make sure you're ordering based on the measurements and not your usual S/M/L size.

Bought this off Aliexpress, pretty nice quality although the stockings, hat and gloves are crap, but I knew they would be. Got the wand on the way, too.

I ventilated a small lacefront section using extra hair from the clip-on pigtail because it was too long and thick anyway. IMO it looks fine when it's left alone, maybe pay close attention to where you're trimming and parting it. A low-quality or super wrong color wig bothers me more than ignoring small details like that.

If one wanted to crossplay Maki, which outfit would be the easiest to pass in? My friend wants to do a group cos, and probably do OP1

I'll point out some things about OP1 that will help you with other outfits because there's too many to go through

>Gloves
Cover hands which is a good start. Shaving/waxing your arms will help

>Blouse
Getting something with a feminine cut like a princess seam will help. The shoulders are poofed but get a very small/subtle poof or ignore it altogether because puff will emphasize your shoulders

>Legs
Shave/wax and wear some flesh colored tights under the thigh-highs. This one is pretty universal because few people have legs that they can rock bare in cosplay. Apparently sock glue can hold up thigh highs against tights and not damage them but I haven't tried it.

>Makeup
Don't know your experience level but avoid the drag look and you're fine.

>Skirt
A small, weak, Leg Avenue length petticoat will give you a little hip.

Heads up, I was in a here a few months ago asking if anyone had prints they wanted designed.

I just had to get fabric for my senior collection, so I went ahead and printed swatches of the two specially made borscht Eli fabrics I was posting in the thread.

They're on super basic cotton (bc I'm cheap and was already buying $160 worth of micro suede and jersey knit) so the star print's colors aren't nearly as vivid as they should be, but otherwise they're ready to go and available in my store for anyone that wanted to do this costume.
