New dream cosplay thread. Post characters you would love to cosplay someday.
> Tfw you're not nearly masculine enough to not look like a girl in something like this.
Anon please cosplay Johnny/Karyl! There aren't enough Destiny cosplayers is the world. If you're worried about not being masculine enough you could go for Conway from Innocence (pic related) if you really want to be someone from Tales.
I've done Arria and Harold before, and am considering Lukius since he wears a mask so there's no need to be particularly masculine. But Johnny is in that dream tier... One day maybe I'll stop caring and go for it.
I really have my heart set on doing this one of these days, along with a few other fire emblem characters, Im still in the process of playing the game but i did grow fond of Olivia and her love of dancing
Ive been lurking these threads for a couple of days for tips to get this done but why im not quite sure why someone hasnt cosplayed beyonce yet?
I neither have the body nor the skills, but her design is absolutely gorgeous and adorable.
They don't allow fake weapons I believe, and well. it looks quite expensive desu.
This is my dream cosplay too, anon! I'm sure we'll both look awesome someday.
I don't think I'll ever be skilled enough for his armor...
>not ideal weight
>spending too much money on lolita burando
>mfw never made armor before, haven't cosplayed seriously in years
I don`t have a skills and no one will recognize me anyway but at least I can dream
yellow heart reminds me of this dream cosplay i wanted to do last year of Patricia wagon from mighty switch force, one day i'll do this just dont know when
Not a technically difficult costume, just working up the courage.
> Printing fabric is expensive has fuck
> Being short and having a round face
It's not that complicated when broken down but I've never done something like this before, I'm afraid it would end up looking crappy
Colonel from Mega Man X4.
I have no clue where to start though.
Muffet is really cute I feel like it would be fine as long as you don't screw up the make up/ eye thing shes got going on. [honestly I'd like to be her too but I'm too short/stocky for it so I'm rooting for you!]
way to shit on someones dream cosplay anon.
I love the character, too bad I'm not a grill.
>round feminine face
One can only dream. At least I'm his height, right???? AHHH...
one day when i learn to make cool props
no idea how to make doll
If all goes well, it should be done before the end of next year. Never done armor before, though, so I predict a lot of trial and error.
I hope I'll somewhat manage to pass as a guy...
It could be any of her outfits really. I just want to fulfill that childhood dream of cosplaying as her.
Are you me?
Also yes this is my dream cosplay, yes she is a mary sue, yes I love her.
Karin has been a dream. But at this point it'd never be recognized.
I always had a dream of a cosplay with huge angel wings and then I came across her
Honestly anything to do with 1/2 Prince. Been wanting to cosplay Prince for the longest time. Though, the manga version is probably easier to recognize to anyone that has read the series, but I love the outfits that are shown in the artbook too, but that wouldn't be as recognizable.
oh gods i want to cosplay hawke too but that armor just gives me anxiety
I attempted it two years ago and as long as you get started ahead of time, it's not so bad. I want to make it again with sturdier materials, but diving in was a great learning experience.
One day. The fabrics and having to carve leather is what kills me.
It's just that I'm not pretty or skilled enough. I'd also like to do my own character but that'd be even harder with the horns and scales of an Au Ra...
I really want to do March from Eternal Sonata, but I really want to have a Salsa to cosplay with. Been trying to persuade two of my friends who are the same length as I but none of them have a PS3 so they can't play the game
Latex, so much latex
My husband... One day
Do they have an XBox? It's also available for that one. I really want to do count waltz, but have no clue how to get around making the armor steady, considering it's way bigger than my legs.
No they don't, and if they had had a ps3 they could've borrowed my game. I know one of them I can persuade without her playing it, but I want her to cosplay it because she likes it, not because I want it
I'm going to get it commissioned this year. It's been my dream cosplay for so long and I always just pushed it away. I'm so excited
One day anon. I've been putting off the idea of wearing a wig. Might just grow out my hair and dye it since my hair is the same texture (Asian so why not). Just don't have the skill to tackle that yet
I've been slowly gathering supplies for her, but god, that gradient dye scares me so much. Someday.
It's not that the cosplay is hard or that I wouldn't fit a character, I just feel like it'd be pointless to cosplay it alone when the group dynamic for this is so important.
I've loved that series for years and I've been thinking of cosplaying as either Prince or Doll. I don't know how popular/recognizable the series still is but oh well.
And if I do I WILL be making a meatbun plush to go with it.
I am not tall, so i'm really worried about proportioning this so it doesn't look stupid.
These dresses are pretty but I don't think anyone would recognize them.
I've never made armor before but I've started looking up tons of foam armor tutorials in hopes that I'll be able to make this!
Depends on which con you're going to. I have yet to hear of a con that outright bans prop swords.
Also if you do end up making Vergil, I'd love to see your cosplay! I really like DMC.
Probably has been done to death, but I would love to do it.
Given enough time I should probably be able to make something, but I just don't know where to start with it.
It's not that I can't do it but I feel like no one will know who I am. Never heard anyone talk about Half Minute Hero.
I think if you worked out and padded enough you can get away with more with characters who have things on their waists, or large coats. Sometimes they can disguise hips better than normal shit.
Of course you can't hide everything, but at least its better than trying to hide a girl shape in pants and a shirt.
Oh man, same, though I like his original 2.0 outfit better. It's way out of my skill level but maybe someday.
Always wanted to do Kaguya but what the fuck is her floating kimono armor shit. I would love to do her in all her glory with a Marie but I just do not have the skills to do it, the money to pay someone to do it, nor the body to wear it.
Honestly though, I'm just going to get in shape then do the body-/spacesuit portion without her back part for a summer con. I'll never have her crazy thigh gap but whatever.
I've wanted to cosplay Falsetto for years and looking now, it's not super complicated but I've never done anything like it before.
>short, small tits, young face
>just the wig alone would bankrupt me
I've always thought Acacia would be great for me since I sorta have the face for her. But that skirt is intimidating. One day.
One day I'll finish. It's been really dead to me lately.
I wish I was swole enough to do this justice. Just a swole guy with an actually good wig...
90's Rogue. I've got her nearly done--just have to lose a bit of weight and do the boots. Soon, my precious.
I've been dreaming of this for years, but:
1) I'm a girl and 2) No one would fucking know who I was if I went to any con other than PAX.
Shit I'm with you. Vayne and Balthier have been on and off my list a few times. I really want to make Basch but I don't have the body to pull him off.
Not an all-time dream cosplay since my interests change etc but
>I have a round-ish face with feminine features and some puppy fat
>can't walk in heels due to ankle problems
The irony of having to tick that "I'm not a robot" for the captcha. 4chan's way of confirming that I'll never do this cosplay.
I'm obsessed with 70s shojo manga and androgynous characters so I've been considering Oscar from Rose of Versailles for my first cosplay. But I've finally decided on Le Chevalier d'Eon instead. I'm a touch too short and have a little bit bigger hips but I can get around that.
Plus, I can rope in my guy friend who has the perfect hair and figure for Durand...
This is mine, and I got a friend whose dream cosplay is Hades. ;w;
Honestly this is my favourite movie of all time and I would love to cosplay him but alas I am WAY too girly and have much too big of hips and boobs to ever hope of pulling this off.
>mostly leather and armor
>don't have enought money
>probably don't have enought craftskills
>can't wear contacts
some day I'll do it
he is very pretty. you could do your character but as a different race if that's easier for you. I'm a miquote but i've done a few cosplays without the tail (don't want to signal furries)
I can't wait
>mfw someone else that know Radiant Historia
Dream cosplay, too!
I started to make it, but put it on hold due to not having the right body for it either. - Also scummy ex-housemate thought it was trash and decided to chuck it out. T_T
One day i might do it, the only problem is: I have no idea on how to make his mask
dream cosplay right here, i have some vague ideas on how i want to attempt the pants to really bring them justice but atm its just contemplation.
>have round-ish face
>how to armor.png
>done only one cos so far
I'm working out so I can properly cosplay Jasper. Only a couple more years of training to go. I'm making decent progress so far.
>tfw it will never be physically possible for me to look exactly like her
I have a convention coming up in just about 4 months (March 18th-20th) and I really want to cosplay as a Hunter from Bloodborne wearing the regular Hunter set and wielding the Saw Cleaver. I have something I can use as my face mask, I found a tutorial for making the Saw Cleaver that seems reasonably comprehensible (http://www.stormthecastle.com/how-to-make-a/make-the-saw-cleaver-from-bloodborne.htm) and my sorta-grandmother-but-not-really who knows how to sew and such can help me out.
I'm really hoping this works out, it's my first time trying out a proper, self-made cosplay. Everything I've done so far has amateurish or bought for cheap, and looked the part.
Wish me luck, Anons.
I started working out to cosplay Azrael from BlazBlue. Literally impossible to look even remotely like him.
I feel your pain.
>Look up Vergil cosplays for purchase
>All of the have details wrongs, none of them get it all right
Great taste, though
I'm a sucker for huge ballgowns. Too bad I'm nowhere that level as a seamstress yet...
>Azrael from BB
Anon, you are making my little heart happy. There are nowhere near enough Blazblue cosplayers, especially ones that aren't Taokaka/Ragna/Litchi
I REALLY wish I had a way to cosplay him, but there's just no way to pull it off that won't look extremely awkward unless I devote all of my free time to training and roid up. Relius seems pretty appropriate for me, so I might give him a go sometime.
If I'm still into cosplay when I reach an age where I have wrinkles, I'm totally cosplaying Valkenhayn though.
I am absolutely in love with this suit but I'm a 5'5" curvy girl and I feel like I wouldn't do it justice. I also admittedly don't know much about the series past a few basics so I'd feel bad wearing it to a con since I'd probably miss most references and stuff to the series that people would say to me.
One day i'll make Priss' mecha-suit and i will live up to this bad ass woman.
Sorry to say, but knowledge of the series is absolutely required for Metal Gear cosplays.
There are so many memes and in-jokes, it would be very awkward if you didn't know them.
I imagine a lot of people would tell you "You're pretty good." or say that you "Kept them waiting.", among other things.
If it's any help/inspo, I think the WCS Thailand team from 2013 did a really nice job.
I'd have to git gud at sewing and lose quite a bit of weight, but I love her and will cosplay her some day. Not soon, but some day.
I'm not good enough at sewing but he's a cutie and also a hero. I never got to play the old zeldas so I guess this one's kinda close to me mentally
alternatively, Midna (don't care if true form or not, p much depends on whether I can become any good at armourmaking)
I could be her if i lost weight
>tfw granny will show you how to sew
I just need to do a bit of working out to tone my arms and abs, but otherwise I have a pretty decent body type for him.
I just don't know what to do about my breasts, thankfully they're super small though so whatever.
I don't think many people would recognize me but it's always been a dream of mine to cosplay Vivi. She's got such a beautiful design.
I made this a long ass time ago and some of my plans have changed, but most of these still stand. These are my dream/impossible cosplays.
>tfw short as fuck
>tfw chunky as fuck
>tfw no missing limb
Oh shit I know that feeling, here's mine so we don't feel alone in the world HAHAHAH
this is mainly a physical issue, i have his build, but not the muscles... and the amount of working out that this would require would be intense.
Feel you with Princess Tutu, she's one of my dream cosplays too, but I have never danced ballet and I just feel i could never do her justice without knowing ballet.. At least I will make Ahiru one day
For the others;
Palla Palla - My favorite villain from Sailor Moon, but would never make her without a full group of the Amazon quartet
Sakizou artwork - Need to get better at sewing first
Painwheel - Just no idea how to make anything here...
Kirakishou - Will make once I get a bit better at sewing. I'm pretty good but I would like to make this cosplay perfect
You all should do these. Ffxii doesn't get enough love. I want to make Penelo but my excuse is I take forever to make costumes and I just don't have the time.
The designs are so whack but so neat. Few people do them, but I must say I have seen a handful of nice Ashes, Penelos, Frans, Balthiers...don't think I have seen a Basch. I would love to see Gabranth done justice. Vayne and Larsa would be cool too.
Well I'd say Gabranth has already been done justice (see pic related, the cosplay that made me want to be a cosplayer myself), which is also why I want to build skill before starting that project. I want it to be perfect.
seems like she'd be impossible to crossplay due to my bodytype
Most of them are pretty doable for me in terms of body type and even skill I think, but I'd want to put lots of time and money into it to make all of them the best they could be.
Haydee is on my list! Hoping to get to her in the next couple years. Either the b&w version of her normal dress from one of the last few episodes or the fancy embroidered dress (pic related).
I was considering hand-painting the fabric, but I'm not sure how well that will go over.
I plan on doing my Raen Ninja as a swimsuit cosplay eventually. I was thinking of using foam for the scales and horns, but I'm not sure how I'd make the tail without it being stiff.
Platforms. Her dress is long enough no one will ever see your shoes. As long as you practiced walking in them with and without the cosplay beforehand, Pleaser and its offshoots make platforms in ridiculous heights. It shouldn't be too hard since you'd have the staff for extra support.
(also yay for classic .hack)
Oh, and here's the dream/impossible chart I made a while back.
I really like this design, but I'd have to invest in one of those expensive fake boob plates, and it would seldom be worn to cons or for extended periods of time.
Specifically this version. I'm not big on her bloomers and boots and the dress is longer here.
I like Kadie's design better, but Amber is more fitting for me. It's a shame this game was so bad with such cool designs.
I designed an armour gijinka for this. Going to decorate it with Arabic poetry transliterated into hieratic and hieroglyphs.
Go for it both of you! Gankutsuou it's such a awesome anime. Haydee was my dream cosplay for many years and I finally did it last year. Not many recognized my character but I had fun talking with the few ones that knew the series. Pic related, I did this white dress from opera scene. Hope you two get your dream cosplays done as well!! Good luck!
I'd love to cosplay nui and I really want to do her justice, so I've been putting it off until I have more experience. It's also going to be difficult to get that hair to translate well in real life, but I think I'll give this cosplay a try in a year or two
I think you should go with like hime gyaru-y pigtails instead of anime accurate pigtails. It'll look more flattering for sure. I can't imagine anyone looking good with huge hair like that.
Currently impossible for me to even consider attempting, but I'd love to see it done somehow.
Meroko has been one of my dream cosplays since I was 10. That series is full of nostalgia.
His original outfit is really cute too, honestly! If you ever do it, I'd love to see pictures.
You know, I totally forgot about the tails... I actually think that'd be the easiest thing for me to do, it's just the scales and making good horns that make me hesitate a lot.
Aw, thank you for thinking about it anyway! I have it coming in already though so no worries.
Ever thought about going to Fan Fest this year though? Going to be going since I live in Vegas. Just gotta get the tickets when they go up.
Wish you luck though when you do it! I absolutely love Alphinaud's designs!
>out of shape
>little to no real skills to make it
>hard to convince my friends
>no one else know about this series cept maybe for specs
A Grey Knight alongside a Sister of Battle
Also a wishlist;
>Imperial Guardman/Commisar (40k)
>Adam Blade (Needless)
>Cirno/Stocking Anarchy/Haruhi Suzumiya (Fuck you i do what i want)
Hnnnng. One day. I have no idea how to make this helmet. ;_;
have no idea how to do this without it coming out tacky as hell
i'd love to see this anon! good luck
Recently rolled him after long wait.
His archer and coat's pattern are really killing me
TFW
Male with an fat belly
Is it possible to slim your belly to W53 in 2 months?
Design's simple enough, just not enough time to be doing all that right now. Also the fact that no one would really know who I am probably.
I love him but I can't do to being short and I'm a girl with a round face.
Someone from Planetes
Especially dat spacesuit
Five Star Stories. i would give an arm and a leg for a full fatima or even just the main fatimas group. but i've never met a single other soul that has heard of this series much less cosplayed from it.
i just want to be megaera and have legs for days. but one can only dream.
I just love Paradise Kiss so fucking much. I want to make every single one of her outfits. The only thing that's really stopping me is all the different wigs and which outfit to start with.
>also tfw you actually have someone who loves ParaKiss just as much and wants to cosplay it but it's your brother and he wants to cosplay Arashi so you both feel awkward af
Aaah more ParaKiss fans <3
desu i'm actually pretty short and chubby, but I feel like it'll work out okay? I mean, I plan on losing some weight anyway but Miwako is more forgiving in terms of body type I think, especially compared with Yukari.
>tfw the costumes are easy but you are chubby and have no self-esteem
Hoping that I'll be in good enough form in ten months. I'll be so proud of myself that I'll wear this every goddamn day in October.
>tfw no gf to rip skin off
I don't have much experience with props, but i think i would either try to get a mannequin (a child one if it needs to be small) and modify it or try to find one of those large toy dolls and maybe make a cast of it
Umineko is my true love, so yeah currently waiting for my partner to update himself with the series so he can be my Will. Beato is not here because I've fulfilled my dream of cosplaying her (she needs an upgrade though, it has been a while)
It's time to put my girly face and short stature to good use. I like this design much better than the main one.
Sadly I lost my job because of a mental health problem so no funds for leather and chainmail atm.
Pretty much any Clamp girl.
>tfw short and not dainty (not even fat so cant solve it by losing weight, just wide shoulders, hips etc)
>will i ever get over my love for Fai D. Flowright?
I've always wanted to do him, along with his younger self. Other dream cosplays are Ventus, Roxas, and Kirito. I've got the right body shape for them, but I'm fuck huge compared to them in terms of height......I'm also black
I'm gonna need an advance degree in physics to make the collar of his shawl alone
I really like Zelda's outfit in Ocarina of Time.
Maybe one day if I'm confident enough.
I could easily do a screen-accurate reproduction of this, but I'm too old to cosplay a 19-year-old. She's everything I wanted out of Star Wars, and she's a decade too late for me.
I really want to do her myself but I keep seeing all of these amazing cosplayers doing it and just knowing what the numbers will be is intimidating me into even trying. You hit the nail on the head - she's everything I've wanted from Star Wars...
I'm in my early 30s. I look pretty good for my age, but I do not pass for 20. I've thought about doing it anyway (and I do have the body shape/size for it) but I just don't want to look like "old Rey."
>tfw actually correct body, height, and skin tone for it
i just dont have any knowledge of latex/mechsuits what so ever. id LOVE to make the outfit one day, but making it looks extremely hard, i dont know if ill ever be at that level of skill. and if i do get to that level at that point id probably look to old to cosplay her...
and heres my other dream cos. again, the only reason stopping me is lack of sewing skill level. also the wig would be hell.
I really want to do a team cosplay of Renji from Bleach. His Bankai is basically a really big skeletal snake for a sword so I would want to have 6 kuroko stagehands carrying the Bankai on sticks like lion dancers.
You'd look great if you lost some weight anon! That height would look cool with Utena I think, making you more princely. I'm not even saying you have to lose weight, but I understand not wanting to cosplay certian characters being a chub myself. Working on it.
I only have to finish the torso and the legs, then I can finally start painting this motherfucker.
I have a few
I'm working up to it but I really need better equipment and more room so it'll be a while
I don't think I'll ever be skilled enough for this one, especially now that I'm spending more money on lolita and less on cosplay.
> dat applique
> also I am a human corgi who doesn't look good with blond hair
Aion Armor, ahh Idk even how to do this but, its so pretty
You could do something for the arms and torso they do in iceskating outfits where it's like complete skin tight suit with thin flesh colored material connecting the visible design of the outfit that you'd see from far away
I'd love to do this Bayonetta outfit because it allows more leeway for me to use hip and breast padding underneath the outfit without being too obvious.
I also have various ideas on materials and the general execution of it, but if really like to get better at sewing and drafting patterns of my own instead of buying pre made stuff and altering them! Plus, heels.
i dont get mad at all. some people don't have dream cosplays until a new show drops. something does not have to be old for you to want to really cosplay it.
if somethings your dream cosplay then its your dream cosplay, it shouldnt matter how new the anime is.
I guess there's different definitions of what a dream cosplay is too. For some people, it might be something they see but don't have the time/money/skill to make at the moment but it could be something you've waited years to cosplay for other people.
Here you go anon http://g.e-hentai.org/g/748342/a02942f8ff/
It's an adorable married couple having lovey-dovey consensual sex because the wife is worried that he shouldn't find her beautiful due to being a freaky moth lady.
