DISCUSSION PROMPT: With Buttcape's blog down, what's the best up-to-date boystyle guide to link to in future OPs? Should we make our own, like the lolitas did?
>from an anon in the last thread:
I did some poking on archive.org and you can find copies of buttcape's posts there:
And from her twitter: "Taking a break from online activity. I took down my blogs, but I will still be using Twitter and Instagram."
>Also, I went by the fabric store today and got some dark brown striped wool-rayon, and a black-on-black herringbone stripe wool. Probably going to make a coat with the black, but anyone have any favorite earthtone coords for inspiration?
posting a few
in any case, what i would suggest is, rather than derail, when the femme aristo thread fills or drops off the board, its next edition can be open to all types of aristo. this thread, which has built up a discussion community, will stay open to all types of boystylers. no reason to exclude or chase anyone out of a thread.
Can I see some good examples of Sweet Ouji? I just bought pic related and need some inspo
and now for something completely different
Get a mens' Roland. You need room in the measurements for breathing etc. I have a mens' Roland despite being a woman with a bust of 80cm. They're fine. The ladies size Roland also has a ridiculously tiny waist - about 65cm on the garment itself.
this looks rather oujiable, yes? and only 3,800 yen, with around 40cm shoulders.
nope not with bottoms, but I did snag malonica rose bustier 2 weeks ago on closet child (its actually really pretty in person).. pants are stupidly hard to find
Anyone know where to find cool hats? Preferably like tricorn hats, but cool top hats would also be ok. AatP's are pretty cool, but most of them are out of stock, and I feel like most of the ones on Etsy either look cheap or are overdone (too many feathers and things, to the point that it looks silly). I've heard there are some on taobao, but I'm not sure which shops to check.
Closet Child's men's shop isn't a reliable place to find boystyle-appropriate pieces, but sometimes pic related crops up.
for anons looking to pad their wardrobes, especially man-sized anons, it might be worth combing through the site for vests, tops, and accessories. do not hold your breath though!
peacockalorum (on storenvy, not etsy) has some reasonably priced tricorns (pic related) and mini tricorns.
Fellow oujis, I need inspiration! Last week I was bored and ended up making about 1,5m long and 2cm wide lace. I don't know what kind of garment should I sew for it so can someone dump pieces with lace on them?
let me see what i can find.
you can use it to give texture to a jabot, like the lace trim on pic related
this neckpiece has various dangling bits, including lace
AatP uses lacelike trim to accent their hats
cuffs and tiered jabot trimmed with lace
this guy's got lace coming out his ears
should i get this? or is it too grandpa and nouji.. was thinking of coording it with dark brown jacket and shoes/off white jabot and socks + wine bowtie and hat
DON'T do it bro!
I would personally take that risk unless it was like $30 for the whole thing.
It looks like it's made out of corduroy which is hard to clean, and also it looks frumpy as fuck.
I would do red with that color I would do a cream instead much like the teddy bear ouji that was posted a little bit earlier.
These are up on tokyoalice right now, don't have the dosh for them but if I did I would probably pick some up.
Does it bother anyone else that h. Naoto doesn't make his clothes symmetric by the prints? For example, >>8771335 bottom left looks bad in my eye since the print isn't 'mirrored'. It looks like it's badly sewn because of the print.
I know it's related to not to get waste fabric. It just would look better symmetric.
i own a few h. Naoto items and enjoy the asymmetry, but i can see how it would be troublesome for others. to me it feels a bit like the screens(?) used to fill patterns in comics and manga, a technique exploited for aesthetic effect in pic related.
this was made for Grandpa Adel but i have seen no worn pics
we had been speculating if maybe AatP was not making mens sizes anymore. it seems they are, as this popped up:
rejoice i guess
>watch Labyrinth a million times
>want to be the Goblin Prince
>buy ouji shit
>all black, blue, and white
>tfw becoming a childhood dream
anyone else's aesthetic influenced by a non-boystyle figure?
Casper in the 1995 live action movie.. I watched it when I was like 7-8, all I remember thinking at the end of the movie was that he was really cute and I wanted to look like him
>my boystyle is all shota-tier gg
no, my family is very conservative
>chopper waist/butt length hair into buzz cut when I was 16, wanted to experiment with hairstyles as it grew out
>shocked parents, dad didn't let me keep it short
I'm almost out of college now, and when I can support myself I will probably get a similar haircut to casper's haha! I'm allowed to wear good quality short hair wigs though (short grandma wigs are legit, the boy cuts they have actually look like jfash boy hair not kidding)
>lost over 40lbs this year
>one new years resolution will definitely be to wear more ouji
>turn 21 in a few days and apparently thats important or something
>please give me money
i want pieces that arent bodyline ffs
I hope someone who'll get some use out of this reads it - Peacockalorum's large/regular sized tricorns are $60 if I remember correctly, and I bought one thinking it'd be worth the price. It's comically tiny, but not mini-hat tiny, the feather is pathetic and the brooch was meh and cheaply made. I also bought some bows which came on uncomfortable, plain metal headbands despite no headband being shown in the picture (so I assumed they were clips) and my ivory bow has a white center (the knot part of the bow). I'm terrified of confrontation so I never made a review, which is my fault entirely, but I hope maybe I can prevent someone else from being as disappointed.
The bow in question was pic related in ivory, although now I do see the ugly cheap headband attached to it. Either way, for a $17 headbow ordered in a specific color, I think it's fair to expect the entire bow to be that color?
people always bullied me for being so damn short, but i guess the jokes on them now because im going to be small, frilly and happy, and they arent. good luck with you finding clothes that fit, anon.
technotropism and ghostintheforest are quite tall, pic related, and they wear brand. techno did an unboxing video for a unisex AatP robe (Chat Noir?) on YouTube and mentions the fit as being a bit small compared to men's sizes. if he is twiggy he should be all right, shoulders and armholes might be his biggest issue.
yup, getting into boystyle after having been bullied for being small and unmasculine is a sweet revenge.
another option is to shorten long pants and sleeves if length is the only issue. tailoring long pants to be short pants would fit the aesthetic.
you can also get away with a plainer but fitting blouse if you have a good gilet. something like pic related seems to be hiding a lot of tall person troubles: folded sleeves, tall boots concealing the ends of the pants, and an eyecatching gilet (sleeveless Roland?) that draws the eyes away from the rolled-up sleeves.
Look at their pictures to get a feel for what they fit into. Agentlemandoesnotconga wears moitie fine, and he isnt that skinny for an asian. Ghostintheforest seems to wear attp jackets fine but I dont see her wear brand pants or shorts.
yeah, if i recall, when she finally joined the Roland club she had to unjoin because ladies' size was too big.
tall can be cute, you just gotta work it. i do not know the heights of other boystylers but totentanzdandy seems taller than siriusc at least, and he can be quite cute imo.
japanese brands have japanese sizing, meme-kun
>wear heeled boots with boystyle
>wear shoe lifts
this convo inspires me to make a request of our resident vloggers and aspiring vloggers: a good video topic is height/size and brand options. just talking about and demonstrating your own size and fits would be helpful.
aw anon. ouji is versatile, you can wear nice fashionable pants even if the shorts are too short or whatever. in pic related, the styles at the bottom say "Ouji Style" and "Ouji style in previous issues," and the look with long pants can work well for tall folk.
additionally, famous ouji technotropism is your height and makes it work imo.
cannot help with the boyfriend situation ofc
actually, even ghostintheforest is taller than you. pic related. you are fine, just avoid tiny brands and buy men's sizes when possible.
Which brands are considered tiny and which ones are considered normal or big? I'm curious. Additionally, despite being tall I can fit into most of big and medium sizes. How do I know if they're really fitting me and when I'm stuffing myself into too small clothes? I don't want to spend any more money just to end up being nouji in ill fitted clothes.
Uh, he's much taller than 1.7m
I'm a bit taller than that and he stands way over me.
I have no idea how he pulls it off, maybe because he's so skinny. Anyway you can always modify things and you don't have to use exclusively brand pants, for example. Especially if you're more aristo.
Shit anon, 170cm is barely 5'7" and that's just beginning to be slightly tall. Only insecure manlets would care.
on the subject of size, this street snap features someone 170cm wearing "gosu ouji" (gothic ouji), with a brand list of each item:
street snaps often have model height info as well as brand names for different items. think creatively anons!
175cm, 75/64/86 measurement female here who fits into lady's sizes fine. Atelier Boz's lady's fits perfect even though the waist part somewhat starts to sit on my lower ribcage. I have yet to buy brand pants though and I am worried those might hit my hips and not fit.
Planning on buying a AaTP jacket soon and hoping it'll fit. The sizing seems larger than Boz.
Boz tends to be wider in the shoulders, i have found, but that is in their mens sizes.
a lot of brand pants in ladies sizes seem to be around 90cm at the waist, so i think you will be all right.
Don't worry about your hips, worry about the length. Depending on my weight, my hips are 88-90cm (although mostly butt, so somewhat squishier than a wide pelvis) and I haven't had any trouble with brand pants. I'm only 158cm though and find the inseam and rise good on me, so I guess watch out for that if you're planning to get long pants not shorts
christmas is over but have another coord anyway
velvet(een)/velour in rich colors feel very wintery imo
fur too, though this one has a silly feel
also capes! i like the look of a short cape over a coat for dressier occasions
a long cape over long coat can also be quite warm, but i am not sure it works outside of gothic looks
winter is also a good time to bring out more historic-inspired wear with richer fabrics
also try mixing textures in lots of layers
deer can be a good theme for winter imo
i do not like this cape but whay's underneath is good
i like white in winter, especially with either red or metallic accents. not sure why, probably something about christmas and snow.
>I want to buy something with Christmas money.
>After few hours going throught the few shops I have bookmarked I remembered the pain of buying ouji.
Maybe I'll try lolita? The only piece I found and liked has missing buttons and yellow stains and is very casual.
i was checking out Deorart's English shop today. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/products?term.brand_id=100000102&term.media=APPAREL&opt.is_group_default=1&order=new&page=1
they are a brand that consistently releases items labelled "ouji" that are often overlooked, and they have a wide range of sizes (small around 34cm shoulders i think, large around 41cm+) and items under $100. they release more punk than ouji but i thought you might find them worth checking out.
what is your ideal ouji "look"?
forget what the words themselves "really mean." if someone in my comm or on FB describes themselves as a shota, does this mean they probably like shotacon? or is there another meaning that became common among young women who are professed fujoshi?
i do not know whether to feel creeped out or not when a female boystyler uses words like seme/uke or shota to describe their look. i am hoping it is like when lolitas call themselves lolis, that is a playful thing, not related to porn, and therefore not an indication that they are getting off on the idea of little boys being sexy.
depends on your measurements. wide shoulders will have trouble fitting into brand blouses and jackets, a wide waist or long rise could impair your ability to wear brand shorts or pants. read upthread for discussions of height, and visit here to get an idea of what different-heighted boystylers look like: http://palaceofprinces.tumblr.com/MeetthePrinces
most brands are made for slim Japanese-sized people, but some Taobao brands do custom sizing.
That means you should try to get things custom made for your shoulders and chest, and rely on open coats for brand main pieces. You're tall and presumably muscular, so an aristo look is better than cutesy ouji would be.
Do you have a pair of quality black trousers?
If you were fat, your situation would be completely different. You can afford to wear form fitting stuff, but your chest, shoulders, and (praise Brodin) thighs will be your limiting factor, rather than fat people, who have most trouble with waist.
Check out fanplusfriend.
if you are thick, cutesy ouji may not work, but historic-inspired ouji like pic related could. look to historic men's fashions and use brand accessories to accent.
aristocrat could also work, but it relies a lot on drape for its silhouette. either way, fan+friend is a good place to start like the other anon said
and ouji itself is good hatless as well
Must have that vest! w2c?!
Byakuya-san in nice fit as always
I've been moving around a lot and most of my grandma wigs have been missing, but I did manage to find this prisila one thttp://www.prisila.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=1726 in NA and this is very similar to my raquel welch granny wig that I have misplaced (also prisila cost much less with similar quality, though raquel welch is thinner and more everyday i guess, this prisila wig is like full on gyaruo/host hair but still looks real) I took pics from different angles/lighting for your reference, hope this helps!
>mfw when i was teddy bear ouji
here is a pic of the salo worn on the last panel of the collage! it fits really well on me and the fabric is surprisingly soft, its not rough but is sturdy with a soft texture. most of axes femme's stuff has some boob cut though, just so you know (didn't have my binder with me, was wearing sports bra) but there is a waist tie at the back to tighten things up as well.
I'm the anon that always takes ages to respond, forgive me, please!
So right now I'm collecting casual ouji and at the same time I'm aiming to collect clothes with kuroshitsuji-look (simple-ouji?).
But at the same time I love the 'mad-hatter' look with prints and accesories but it's much harder to coord with beginners wardrobe & costs more.
Def I'd avoid anything that leans towards aristo.
Sorry if I'm babbling! I guess I'm too new and too poor to know exactly what I want.
really? I ask friends about their dds, so when I'm bored or looking at auctions I can keep an eye out..? My circle of lolita friends do the same, whether it's for cardigans or specific blouses
that would be worth its own thread. i can share casual ouji and EGA but they are not tomboyish in the way you mean.
however, a thread for what you describe could be fun. we have had dansou threads before, so there should be an anon or two who would have an idea where to point you.
i do not browse that way, i forgot the catalog isn't default for everyone.
anyway you must have scrolled a bit too far in the wrong direction when replying initially. i don't think 4chan's software allows for ninja-moving someone's post to another thread. somehow you came to us, and we welcome you.
No full coord yet, I'm still missing some pieces. I'm really hyped for completing a whole thing.
>classic ouji style
I know how to name this now! Thank you. Is there a name for a bit more the style that looks like >>8792640>>8787310>>8761314 ?
>Also update about hairdo from 2 threads ago.
I got hairdo; but it's more of a bob cut than ouji cut, it's generally ok but I might try to wait how it'll look after hair will regrow a bit and maybe try to make it more bouncy?
>my prev post was all weirdly formated?
they are closer to sweet and classic ouji than gothic. the first two are a bit OTT, and all three are definitely more princely feeling, the way hime lolita has a more dressed-up/royal feel than non-hime.
pic related has an example of "sweet ouji" on the left, with more examples below it. you can have sweet in dark or muted colors or jewel tones; what separates it from "classic ouji" (examples in lower right of >>8781874) are the motifs in prints, the playful or "younger" look.
but this is open to interpretation and discussion. i have never seen anyone discuss these 2 scans and what they mean for ouji substyles, if anything. a lot of people seem to think sweet ouji means pastels and girly motifs, but to me the playing cards, Mad Hatterness, florals, as well as the shape (shorter or poofier) mark them as closer to sweet.
but also fairly close to classic. if you want to define your style, perhaps "sweet-classic ouji" would get the least disagreement.
yes. the trick is to make sure it looks purposeful rather than accidental. if you have a piece that has both navy and black, like a pinstripe pattern, that will help. otherwise, maybe make sure your blacks are true and will not photograph as navy.
pic related, i cannot tell which pieces are black or navy depending on the pic. if the blacks were darker, and the legwear less bright, it might look more cohesive. (it is her first ouji coord and this is a nitpick, it's not nouji at all to me, just an illustration of a black x navy coord that almost works.)
sorry for small low res image, but here, the colors are more clearly marked. the navy blouse has a clearly black jabot and trim. you can tell there are 2 distinct colors complementing each other.
an EGA example, where the blouse has both black and navy, very distinct.
a sweet example with different patterns breaking up the blocks of black, including a navy plaid.
Thank you a lot! It's really helpful.
I'll join the question; I'd like to buy
Would it go well with a white blouse and over knees black pants?
>RIPrinceclothes my whole savings for this year 2016-2016, but I don't think I'll buy anything cheaper anyway.
that is a cool vest but i am not sure black pants would look right, especially since the navy of the vest appears to be almost a faded black, so the result might be a bit muddy. i think it can work as a first coord if that is what you have to work with, but if you are looking to buy pants i would seek a pair in a color the vest uses.
it does look like the rabbit brooch has black on it, and you might be able to bring out the black and navy with accessories that use both colors.
but honestly, if it fits your body and you carry yourself with confidence and a smile, you can get away with wearing just about anything.
When I'll buy this vest I'll be out of money for some time so I won't be able to buy matching print pants. Maybe I should something else? Tho I was kind hyped to find something (less)expensive that looks pretty.
>but honestly, if it fits your body and you carry yourself with confidence and a smile, you can get away with wearing just about anything.
Thank you anon, you're being so nice!
>I won't be able to buy matching print pants.
for a busy print like that i would recommend a solid color, just a color that is used in the print (a matching shade of blue, white, or red, for example).
i think if you really like this vest and have the funds, better to get it while you can and save up for different pants. finding a good print for boystyle is very difficult, and stuff like that hardly ever shows up secondhand so once it's sold out you might be SOL. you are taking a risk either way, but it is not like you're getting married, they're just clothes.
good luck and post results!
>mfw the fabric closeup is pinstripes
ATTENTION CLASSIC BOYSTYLERS: http://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/detail.html?id=524958336313
have you worn non-casual ouji in public without anyone with you who was wearing jfash?
Yeah, often. I'm at a liberal arts college, and I make a point of wearing jfash at least once a week.
I've only gotten questions and compliments; if you wear something suitlike, trim, and black, people like it, at least where I'm from.
aside from pants length and accessorizing, ouji is not far from what i would wear daily anyway: collared shirt, vest, hat... i think the suitlike nature does help it seem more normal than lolita.
doing my first fururun order, waiting for the invoice.
meanwhile, STYLE SURVEY TIME
what substyle(s) do you usually wear? (sweet, gothic, or classic?)
do you have an unusual style, like mature sweet, punk, or dolly-kei/classic fusion?
if you had to declare a boystyle chatacter/archetype to align your personal sense of style with, what would it be? (e.g., vampire, pirate, schoolboy, butler, aristocrat, soldier, stuffed rabbit, idk, etc.)
EXAMPLES OF BOYSTYLE ARCHETYPES
5. Aristocrat (not necessarily EGA)
9. Shoujo Manga Character
10. Rockstar (on the left)
or something else? if something else, post example pic!
son of a fucking bitch, this is too soon. he just released a fucking album.
goodnight sweet senpai...
Black mostly, since that's what my normal wardrobe is anyway. I've made outfits with red, cream, grey, and gold too.
Classic/gothic would make sense then. I don't aim towards any particular themes.
It's a handmade rosette I got, but I removed the original centerpiece (first picture) and replace it with this metal crest I found or this Boz pin from AM
Aeryn is 5 feet even and pulls off some pretty cool stuff >>8807605
All ouji all the time. Early on I tried for 'prince' but I've ended up leaning more towards aristocrat, just.. with a splash of colour. I own pirate, military and vampire stuff but not enough to put together a proper coord yet.
>new, unused basics from a favorite brand are up for sale in my size for super cheap
>mfw i am completely broke
fuck this gay earth
I dont think it was school because she would at least be active in the summer or be online in some sense. Loads of people get into the fashion while in college.
She isnt active on her fb at all, the last photo of her dressing up is from April from around the time PoP had their event. On her fb there are photos of her in the hospital for something in Sept.
I havent seen any signs of her selling her stuff, but she has been radio silent.
Actually with some super stalking I found a more recent photo of her dressed up. Which was better than what I thought at first which is that she may have sold/given away a lot of her stuff to some of her friends since it seemed suspicious that suddenly someone close to her had all the same stuff. I guess that she is not posting stuff on purpose then, but is attending some stuff locally.
I'm trying to find some ouji style outfits for my boyfriend but he's very picky with what he likes. He's okay with some of the pictures I've showed him, but he wants something that's more "pirate ouji". I obviously want to stay away from stuff that looks grossly halloween-costumey. Any ideas on where to start with this? Thank you in advance.
i spoke to some indie lolita designers in the Marketplace at RuffleCon when i went last October, and various indie Western brands saw the sizable boystyle turnout this year and said they would definitely bring more ouji stock next time.
what indie designers would you like to see boystyle stuff from? i do not remember if i asked her specifically but i like Lily of the Valley's work and coords. her take on boystyle could be cool.
>pic related, imagine a Medieval art-inspired gilet or jacket
h. Naoto is having a really good sale at kincs.ws
if you like their style, now is the time to grab good new things
i am sad that there are so few public coords of that.
Non-PoP on tumblr:
lostprinceofmar (a lot of reblogs but also good OC, both ouji and lolita)
sweetexpedition (mostly lolita, but posts a lot so there is original ouji content more frequently than other bloggers)
splashu (kind of inactive, but showed promise, hard to say what the OC to reblog ratio will be)
konekoanni (lots of reblogs, and OC is divided between lolita, ouji, and cosplay; her handmade ouji is awesome)
victorfaretina (LOTS of OC, including lolita and ouji doll designs; one of the more famous oujis, a lot of people don't like his face, but he's still going strong after oujis like bakasoseji, aerynsys, buttcape etc. dropped off the online ouji radar)
matticus-nightshade (lots of random reblogs, not much OC, but has a unique cool sense of style; he's the one who made the Bodyline jsks into a salopette)
also: AP made another ouji set just for their fashion show. fuck them.
one of these coords is not like the others
one of these coords doesn't belong
I don't know what they're going for with this... Even for OTT that seems costumey.
excentrique = underrated
top tier for classic ouji imo
i like this coat, but never heard of the brand before:
reposting the poll i made regarding future gens: http://strawpoll.me/6136158/r
i figure unless people in this thread are annoyed at aristo questions and discussions, nothing needs to change. there is also no reason to prevent the one male EGA wearer who would prefer to post in an EGA gen from doing so (they said they wear both femme and masc aristo). the amount of discussion and interest in male gothic styles in general is so low it seems a nonissue; people can post where they like if each thread accepts the discussion.
for me, my EGA has more in common with ouji and overlaps with it, which is what i also see happening in Japanese communities and in brand marketing.
but i noticed the lolita gen called this the "ouji" thread rather than the boystyle thread, which previous lolita gen OPs did not do. so i worry someone will try to force an issue where there isn't one and would appreciate /ouG/'s thoughts.
kek'd because your advice is perfect and exactly what i should be doing, that is.
>tfw this is labelled "classic"
>tfw when this is labelled "sweet"
get it together, Japan
and yes, the kanji literally refers to those coords as "amai ouji," it is not just the English.
how do boystyle substyles even work, outside of gothic? i am trying to collect scans for a presentation and so much seems to conflict.
also, Buttcape's blog is back
That fjord vest is so huge on that girl.
I think the styles end up being that >>8829554
is classic since it plays up 'vintage' items such as the suspenders and the hat. While >>8829555 is sweet since its white and they are more cute looking? Idk just because they label it for kera spread doesnt mean that they are hard labels.
AatP continues its trend of one-size-only, but it is a nice tartan set without too much trim abuse.
>While >>8829555 (You) # is sweet since its white and they are more cute looking?
i think they might be seen as sweet due to being more fanciful or fantasy-like, while the ones labelled classic have, like you say, a vintage look.
unrelated, Connie Tuttle is a new favorite ouji. i feel like recently, many lolitas have been crossing into boystyle and elevating the overall "look" of it in the Western community.
>leaving the "(You)"s
kek sorry, here is another random recent coord from someone i am less familiar with
I would like to start wearing ouji to school but there's a problem: the field I am studying is very dusty and I need to change my clothes before going to the workshop. Sometimes I have to chance back and forth few times during the day. What I need is clothes that could be easily taken off. I'm lookin mosty casual coords and if it matters, I'm a girl.
For short, post some pictures of (casual) ouji coords that can be changed easily to other clothes.
>want to wear lolita
>get confused for a crossdresser while wearing it constantly
m-maybe boystyle will work?
good to know i'm fucked there too..
I think you underestimate what you would need to do. Casual ouji is very iffy because it can easily fall into nouji, so you will have to keep a level of complexity to the outfits. Which of course will make it more work to change.
Like many people have this idea that they will wear like lolita to school everyday but when it comes down to it there are so much more practical things to wear. Ouji is going to be the same way, you are going to have a fuck it point where you wont want the hassle especially if you are knee deep in the semester.
Just wear it outside of classes, such as at weekends. Like >>8832991 says, it can all to easily fall into being 'nouji' territory, and you'll end up looking scuffier than you otherwise would were to you say, look for a nice smart-casual look. Plus, that would likely be more comfortable. Especially when you ahve a full day of classes. Besides, what you think of as being 'classy' others might not see it as such.
I've been in the uni environment for over ten years now, and I wear both femme and homme aristocrat, with a little bit of lolita. Trust me, save the style for free time. Dress nicely by all means during class, but really go to town outside of classes.
>For short, post some pictures of (casual) ouji coords that can be changed easily to other clothes.
i don't know about the "easily changed" part but here is a small casual inspo dump. may not fit the bill for true ouji at times.
pic related is not casual, but it is ultra simple and would be easy to change in and out of. it is also obviously ouji, not just a blouse and short pants.
this is super cute and super simple, if not truly casual
more simple than casual.
last one for now, let me know if any of these inspire you or if they miss the mark.
approaching autosage, would like to get useful info together for the next OP. also, buttcape's blog is not completely back; the Ouji Overview is still offline. (godammit...)

This thread is for ouji and aristocrat (aka "boystyle") discussion. Boystyle refers to the masculine counterparts of lolita and aristocrat fashions. There is a lot of overlap between these styles, and different people use different terms to describe them. So my BF wants to wear this style when I wear Lolita. According to >>8779446 he should be wearing the style technotropism wears. He's 185cm with a slim figure.
Only problem is, I'm not sure where he can get a coat like >>8761212. What is this style of coat called? I can see one type of coat like this on F+F, but it's not very descriptive other than "long coat". Is there a specific name for this? Would appreciate any help!
