buyf/a/g guide: buyfag.moe
Share your progress, buying/arranging tips, and post some of your favorite bags or themed outfits/accessories
At least from my experience ordering from cowcow (I'm to give you an idea), if in color it probably will print duller so brighten it if that is something that will bother you and I would try and stick to a color theme in your collage. Lines may end up a tad blurry but it shouldn't be too big of and issue. Try to localize your favourite shots in the center in case the the collage is larger than space on the shirt just so you can be sure they get in there. Also I am not sure about the rest but with the long sleeve crop top the arms are a little loose which can be a pain in the ass.
I pointed this out in an old thread but you don't have to use the long link for the buyfag guide, just use buyfag.moe as the link. They're the same thing. Or just don't link it, it's already in the itabag faq.
Anyways, tag dump.
Enstars bags are getting pretty popular
While I don't mind what other people are doing with their bags, I don't want bootleg on mine. From my point of the view, itabags are not just to express my love for a character, but to support the franchise as well. So I would rather gather stuff at a slower pace, but have it be official merch, than get a bunch of $1 pins from Taobao. Also I don't have any fan-made merch on my bag, but I find fan-made more acceptable than bootleg, so if the character doesn't have much official merch, fanmerch is okay too imo.
Done for now. I'll post some more another time.
I also recognized a couple bags from anons here in the twitter tag, but I just ended up saving pictures of bags that hadn't been posted before.
Anyone know best way to keep these kind of chains on a bag? Every one I've owned and put on my backpack seems to got lost or fallen off before.
I'm not in the lolita world, but I'm thinking of buying a bag from Bodyline and put in it the Oikawa's pins&straps in the future... but I don't know if it will be nice in a lolita bag.
This for example! What do you think? The print would cover with the merch.
Seems like it might be a weird clash of colours and details. Judging by the character I'd say you have to go with the blue bag but then you would have to cover all the horses which would be a lot of clutter all in an awkward up and down line. It's kind of hard to say without seeing any merch examples but I imagine you'll be able to see a bit of pink/purple and horse easily once you put things on. Also his merch seems to be varying shades of teal where the bag is pastel.
It's a pink tote I got off of Amazon. The heart Rin patch I designed on my computer and printed onto printable fabric. You have to use Scotchgard on your fabric patch if you want it to be waterproof - otherwise the ink will run if it rains. I learned the hard way that you have to do a lot of light coats because my first patch turned into a runny mess because I spayed too much too fast.
I own a button maker so the cost was just the parts!
no kidding on the hurting you physically side of things. after carrying my messenger bag with 2kg of badges on all day at hyper japan, i had strips of bruises criss-crossing on my trapezius muscles for like a week afterwards. through clothes and a hoodie.
some ita bag videos i found
I plan on making one as well in the future once my bag has come together a lil bit more
quick question I have a bag with a heart window on it and the material that makes the pocket (diving the main section from the front section which the window shoes) is kinda flimsy and my rubber straps are weighing it down.. what can I do to stop this?
Posting my ita tree. Happy Holidays my gulls
Ayyyeeee I saw mine and my friend's bag show up in the first vid's Google search pic. I want to make a video about my bag too, maybe after I get back from Florida. It will be a good way to help organize my thoughts for an ita bag panel in doing at Taiyoucon.
Speaking of ita bag panels, I heard there's going to be one at Holiday Matsuri in Orlando this weekend! I'm actually on my way to Orlando right now to visit family and if I have time I'd love to drop by and say hello to other ita bag enthusiasts! Is anyone else going to that con too?
if anyone wants a touken ranbu purse
pretty sure thats a knockoff, the original is from super groupies.
also shoes to match your bag.
tfw cant justify buying the shoes or the bag but can buy figures at the same price in a heartbeat.
Just learning about this and... have people never done this were you live, anons? Or is this new because the bag is only for one character?
Because having a cluttered bag has been done forever here, and not only with fiction. Pic related, and website for the "time stamp" http://www.fotolog.com/mochilas69_v2/61515717/
>all the bags like that i used to see in high school just had any and everything thrown on, and looked like crap in general
This and around cons. There's always a handful of people who cover their bag/jacket/hat with pins from everything they like. There's nothing wrong with that they just all look like the same colorful mess on a black/khaki background. Itabags at least cover some basic good design principles.
not all japanese itabags are nice haha
i actually love repetitive bags when they're neatly arranged, it makes me feel good. but to each their own - lots of people who are making itabags on this thread have different preferences too
It's not so much that people haven't done this before, it's that it's a new take on it.
For years I'd buy pins from artists I liked or even vendors and put them on the straps of my bags and decorate my school backpacks with them but even with having done that experience, making an itabag feels like an entirely different concept.
I don't know what it is about it that makes my weeb days of covering my bags with buttons/badges seem like a totally different universe as compared to making an itabag but that's how it feels.
My opinion/assumption is that an itabag is almost like an artform? You don't see many bags where things are just tossed up there like they would be on our old weeb bags back in the day. Back then I'd had twenty different fandoms worth of buttons and it just looked like a hot mess but with itabags it actually takes time and effort to figure out where to place everything to make it look pretty.
See examples like >>8760597 for beautiful styles or >>8760610 for patterned styles.
I mean you do see some slapped on looks like >>8760630 but when you look at it, it just looks like a hot mess and now that I look at it again, it does look a lot like weeb convention bags from back in the day.
So yeah, I think it boils down not "Well this has clearly been done for years and it's just being rediscovered" but more to "Yes, this has existed before but this is a completely different form."
Especially when you consider that with convention bags most of us bought buttons because we liked them and over time they accumulated on our bags, but for this hobby you're buying merch specifically to go on the bag.
Sorry for the long winded response by the way but I'm planning an itabag panel so I sort of got carried away because it's actually a good question.
I wanted to share my Diabolik tree. Featuring Ayato, Kanato, and Azusa! I didn't have a plush to use as a tree topper so I used an mini mousepad. Overall it pleases me. xD
Santanon isn't responding to my emails so is it the seagull in Essex or SMMM in Mexico who matches this interest description because that's who I bought for and I need ot ship everything by tomorrow
Update on my bag: waiting on another small batch of can badges so hopefully I'll have a more strap/can badge balanced bag.
Is there a better way to attach acrylic straps that come on ball chains? Most of them have the ball chain running through the hole in the acrylic.
I tried some claw clasp but the acrylic is too thick, when I try bigger clasp the hole is too small to get the clasp through. I kinda cheated with the acrylic one at the bottom, I looped a phone strap through and safety pinned it. Pic related
I found it on auction but I haven't seen any pop up recently. I might fight you for it since it's one of the few pieces of merch that isn't chibified
There are ita-phones both with phone charms and the actual phone covers. I think an anon here is making some?
Pic related is the first ita-phone I found.
If anyone's doing a Free! bag, there's a Makoto merch lot up for auction right now for under $10. Happened to stumble onto it looking for bags.
How do you pick your base bag, seagulls? I was thinking of picking up one of those Salus combo itabags, but they don't seem that sturdy. I'd prefer something with more compartments and structure, but then you get into diaper bag/soccer mom bag territory, and the likelihood of finding a clear vinyl bag/bag cover that would fit it and accommodate a shoulder strap is close to nil.
Been thinking about getting pic related from Rakuten, but I can't decide.
Amiami sells pic related, mise tote bags. They're pretty much made for itabagging
Use From Japan. The fees add up if you buy multiple items (one mass lot is fine though) but they're really easy to use. You just put in the URL, put the money in your account, and then bid and it auto-bids for you.
Has anyone here ordered ArtMoo shirts before? I'm almost ready to order my S.E.M shirt but I wonder how well it will pick up fluorescent pink. I know in paper printing you need pantone spot colors to get anything that intense.
if anything I feel like buyee might be better for orders with several items because of that pricey flat consolidation fee they have. I've used them more often since they reduced their fees, and while I still can't shake the feeling that they're more expensive than FJ, I like how clean and straightforward their cost breakdown is. FJ dings you a lot for all sorts of little things, but with buyee it's more upfront.
Hey all. I've got this bunch of merch of my swordbando and planned to dump them all on a corkboard at first but fuck that, I want to show my love for him out in public. I'll need some advice for the base bag though.
I've looked into these mise bags available on amiami but I'm rather turned off by the zip frame.
Movic has a bunch of tote bags meant for itabagging (http://www.movic.jp/info/itamate/) but those bags that have multiple colours for selection are not in the right orientation and the one I want has no other colours (http://www.movic.jp/shop/g/g00580-00610-00029/)
I've found one with the colour I want here: https://www.e-salus.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=14522 but from the pic it doesn't seem too sturdy. Also the clear bag it comes with seems a little too big. Other than that it's the closest to what I want so if anyone here has this, reviews would be really helpful.
I've tried digging taobao but the search turns up stuff ranging from leather handbags to those cheap totebags of shit quality that you'd throw after a use and bags with random designs.
tl;dr: want a husbando itabag, got the merch, need some help with the base bag.
Merch is mostly keychains/straps, hardly any badges (1-3 at max), plus a nendoroid sleeping bag without the nendoroid if that matters.
Honestly, the E-Salus one seems like it would be the most sturdy because there's no weight being put on the vinyl cover and the cover is easy remove just by pulling the straps out.
The only other really sturdy good quality bag I've seen is the one in >>8763975 with the first video where they vinyl bag snaps on. The only issue with that I think is the polka dot pattern (it's made for a specific series) and color choices are limited. http://myfigurecollection.net/encyclopedia/69380
Dumping two pictures from my favorite itabagger/fandom person.
I really need to get pictures of their bedroom that's dedicated to Free!
This is a new type of bag I haven't seen before either. It looks like the entire clear front unzips for you to put merch inside.
Some kind of ninja concealment device to hide your fandom levels?
And what more, if with a handkerchief prepared one to hide in a moment the goods!
The last item was the most important, How can I think or not than who can well understood If you are a country living, "line of sight if you have a pain bag in the local train station Toka train is too painful ..." "But, I want to appeal a favorite character in the event Toka geek of town ... "and I solves that! The Yarisugoshi with blindfold completely with a handkerchief in the place where the eyes of local and people are anxious, and Ikebukuro and Nihonbashi, or that claims the pain bag once put away in a bag to take at the same time handkerchief Anikafe or to have attached to the event venue It is possible! When it becomes likely to encounter is apparent colleagues rear friend or company also does not hide become a handkerchief Gushagusha even going to hide as I have in a hurry It is safe once hidden in the handkerchief! So as not to such thing, only there, let's practice ...!
oh my god, i love these. i don't like tote bags, i prefer backpacks or messenger bags because they're easier for me to carry around, so i was at such a loss on what to use for my itabag. but i think i'm gonna get one of these actually, thanks so much for sharing!!
I'm >>8774163 and from the few reviews I've read of the salus bags, the clear outer bag is still flimsy enough that the thin strip around the handles gets lengthened out and droopy really fast.
Those bags would be the mise totes from Amiami that >>8774172 mentioned. You can find them really easily just by searching "mise tote" on the English site.
Itaphone anon here! Decided to update to show I'm still alive and planning on doing your cases.
Two of your phone cases arrived today (ignore my Tumblr fashion ones on the left), the S4 and the S6 and I had to write which was which on the packaging otherwise I'd end up making the wrong design.
So far only one 500 piece package of beads has come in so I have about... 30,000 left to go now? I'll update again when I've got enough supplies in to start on at least one case (depends on which colors come in first)!
Looking for sidem stuff on ebay and goddamn do people actually pay these gouged prices for import goods? These buttons are less than $5 on amiami
i think this is as far as i'll go with this bag - all the spaces are filled up now
going to attempt a clear backpack when the next round of merch comes in
Ahh hooray I am excited to hear you got some stuff good luck on the rest! Also I was on the list and I forgot to drop an email which seems silly. I actually am pumped to see how these turn out!
Think you guys already found an answer for this but just looking at eBay I found one.
Only one I found and it's a mini. Might get it though since I'm a newbie and wanna start small...
I suppose I should get the salus bags first and try them out first then? And maybe replace the clear outer bag when it goes to shit.
I did consider the utapri ones since they look pretty nice but
>that price on YAJ
>no pastel colours I want
Plus I don't really want to attract the wrong attention since I'm not into utapri at all. (I avoid series-specific bags for this reason too.)
Has anyone ordered the zakka mart ones that an anon on top posted up? Specifically the renewal tote bags. The renewal ones aren't released yet apparently but I'm really curious how their previously released bags hold up.
Chain in pic related looks perfect for my straps.
You have good taste.
one of the many things on ita bags that gets under my skin is seeing the ball chains/thin phone straps dangling off bags. imo, hanging the strap itself from a safety pin looks neater and gives you free rein to easily organize your straps too
I recently got a salus bag and I have to say it's really nice. I don't have a problem with the plastic cover, but that's probably because I haven't used it outside my home. I placed a few badges on it and the bag has yet to sag. I haven't placed all I have on the bag though. The only problem I have with the salus bag is that it has a lot of empty space..
They're called can badge covers/can badge protectors. You can find a bunch on http://www.coade-net.co.jp/shopping/
Click on the big blue button titled 缶バッジカバー and you should be able to see all the badge cover options. You can also search for them on amazon japan and maybe even rakuten. 丸型缶バッジカバー and 缶バッチプロテクター are usually good keywords to find them online.
the ones from movic?
when I think about it now, I think the reason people might complain about the clear bag sagging is if they throw in a lot of the small plushies and shit, and that's probably what the extra space is for, too.so yeah, if you're not purposefully adding weight to strain the clear bag that way, it'd probably be fine if you're careful with it.
the colors on my tanktop were very intense and almost exactly like the digital version. I would actually be a bit worried of it being too bright, thats what happened with the tote i ordered
Awesome anon! I can't wait to see how you make these cases. I dropped my email for you once you get to the Okita Souji from Hakuouki case (I was on the list but I believe it was for the second round but idk desu). Can't wait to see your WIPs.
opinions on this type of style bag? honestly, i'm not a fan of it because it takes away a lot space that could've been used with other merch. however, i do like the idea of keeping everything in place
I don't really like them much either, they really remind me of those plastic binder sleeves I used to store my pokemon cards in when I was a kid. maybe if you did some kind of design that utilizes the grid pattern (get lots of the same few charms and alternate them or something) it could look cool, but just throwing in whatever at random looks like a really messy way to show off your collection.
Just got these in the mail today from artsbovine. YEAAAH!
No plans to make an Iggy bag, but shit, these tights are super rad. It's just too bad all the ugly Iggy images ended up cropped out because I placed them on the edges so they disappeared into the inseam.
I must start on my itabag right now
Merry Christmas you nerds, hope your next order of husbando merch comes in safely
not OP but I have that issue to some degree, I want to make one of Snufkin and he's not exactly popular or considered necessarily anime over here. I have found a couple of figurines and plushies but there's no classical anime shit (straps, badges, etc) of him that I could find
You'd need to do some scouring on Yahoo Japan. The Moomin boom in the 90s and the recent 100th anniversary means there's a lot of neat stuff even if it's not. Check YJ and Mbok with スナフキン
Do you think a Snufkin bag might be a little ironic?
yeah, it's a bit of a joke thing, it's more about collecting merch of him than showing it off. I just want to keep it in itabag form because it's a nice way of gathering it all (and I have serious space issues), I don't know if I'd be ever taking it out with me. the irony is part of the fun, I guess.
The fucking stud known as worick Arcangelo. I thought I had Husbandos before him, but I was wtong. As embarrassing as it is, just typing about him and picking out this pic made my heart flutter
Learn how to buyfag anon. You can literally still preorder bags, buttons, pins and cellphone cases. I'm waiting on some Nic and Worrick stuff to come in this month including a mug I'm way too excited for.
I had deaf students on my dorm floor. It sounds like animals that are screwing and dying at the same time.
Not NicAnon but having a husbando doesn't necessarily mean you want to do them. We had this talk a few threads ago but a lot of us realize our husbandos would make terrible companions especially the sociopaths.
Someone actually made ennoshita bags. IM jelly, it's so hard to find ennoshita merch..
Considering starting a bag for my Husbando... This is hell.
Ayato, which is funny since Kanato is my least favorite. I still think that bag is really well put together though.
My newest husbando bag. Azusa from Diabolik Lovers.
I was so happy to find his character bag. I am too afraid to take it out of my house without a clear protector.
I'm trying to develop myself a fashion style that I fell in love with in one of those "create a jfashion style" thread long ago that was called CLAMP-kei and so I've been trying to find as many accessories and clothing pieces themed around Cardcaptor Sakura. Can someone point me in the direction of where I could buy fitting clothes or accessories that's not on taobao?
Oh, that Ayato bag isn't mine unfortunately, I'm thinking of starting one though. Honestly I was kind of embarrassed by liking Diabolik but now I've said fuck it and I'm embracing it.
I love how it looks! Where did you get all your buttons? The glittery ones are so nice!
Just embrace it and descend into Diahell. It's quite nice here. haha. I bought a lot of them when I visited Japan. Now that I'm back I have been stalking the auction sites looking for listings with multiple items. Your money goes further that way imo.
You should join the itabag FB group (just search itabag/fandom fashion)
does anyone run into the problem of starting a new bag but quickly back out because creating a second bag means one item less on your current husbando/waifu bag? i'm also hard on myself about having duplicates too..
Has anyone brought pins at aliexpress?
I want to start my own One Piece itabag.
Top tier taste anon. I was beginning to feel alone having an older husbando (I'm Verde anon). IIRC though there is Worrick merch. There's a lot on Otaku Republic (Extremely overpriced) that you can reverse image search and look out for.
I love their military art. Search for Diabolik Lovers Super Best. (And super best 2) That's what the art is from. They just did a lottery so there's quite a bit of military uniform merch floating around.
Is there a way to get these Dialover buttons without using YahooAuctions/proxy service? I never see buttons on Amiami for example...
People really need to read the OP before complaining about no merch.
It's a bit messy with all the links especially since the buyf/a/g guide is posted twice for some reason. Also to whoever made the itabag FAQ, may I suggest some Rakuten stores?
It might be nice to also point out for Rakuten and Mandarake that searching in Japanese and English will bring you the most results. You can usually get the proper Japanese terms from MyFigureCollection.
And Mandarake has over ten stores so you could also mention that they should order from one store only to keep shipping down or be prepared to pay separate shipping for each store they order from.
Added the stores and tip about searching in Japanese.
I didn't add the part about Mandarake's different sites, because if you use their website in english it will clearly give you the names of different stores on the item's listing, and when you check your cart with things from different stores it makes you buy them separately. It's pretty straightforward about it I think, so I didn't think it was necessary to guide people through it in the doc, but if you really think it should be there I might add it.
Thanks for the suggestions
I've never ordered from two stores at the same time so I didn't know it did that. I just imagined people adding a bunch to their cart to realise the shipping total would be huge so that's okay.
>Tfw the one thing that you've been looking for has appeared on Y!Japan.
>And you're broke.
>I have no words....
Been working on a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure themed bag, any feedback is appreciated. Going to eventually get more charms of more characters when I can; I'd love more buttons but I've only been able to find these ones. If I can't find different buttons, I'll probably have to order more of the same.
oh gosh, those polnareff's on the base bag are fabulous. Where are the top row of charms from?
It's really part 3 centered, I think if you're going to have the other two parts, you really do need more buttons that include them. As it is, the part 1 and 2 charms kinda don't fit in it.
Top three charms I got from an auction on eBay, the seller still has some left if anyone wants them. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Jojos-Bizarre-Adventur-JOSEPH-JOESTAR-Anime-Rubber-Strap-Keychain-3pcs-Set-/221960304055?nav=SEARCH
And yeah, now that you point it out I really need to hunt down some good merch for all the other parts of Jojo's. Thanks! I haven't been able to find part 1 and 2 buttons, but I won't give up!
yeah, haven't you seen some of the love live ones?
I have a few of these bags, I like them a lot. They're made from heavy grade plastic and are quite sizeable, so I prefer them more than the other bags i've seen. I think it's better to use parts of the grid to accent a main itabag inside rather than throwing merch randomly like the pic though.
I'd rather not since I like the "cleaner" look of the official merch and don't want clashing artstyles. I'm not planning to use my friends' merch on my itabag either. It just doesn't feel the same?
One of the previous threads suggested getting your own buttons and things printed if your husbando/waifu is one of those not-quite-popular side characters that's hard to find merchandise of.
The thread after some anons reported back that it was difficult to get fanartists' permission to print badges for personal use, so maybe that's why not many people have done it.
Okay, they didn't turn out very good, but it's the thought that counts, r-right?
I thought I'd ask here since there's been mention of Mandarake in the past threads -- what do you guys do to get around their annoying 3D secure thing with credit cards? I can't pay with Paypal because there are other "adult" things in my order (and I already had them split the order to separate those out), and it's definitely not a fraud alert/hold on my account from my bank's end. I use Visa and I see the card being verified every time I hit the submit button, but it still comes back to me with the same fucking 3D secure error.
I've tried paying from Chrome, Firefox, Safari, from my mobile, even on IE, and I get the same error. Tried with my middle name and without. Any other ideas or leads I can try?
Mandarake recently had restriction policies on foreign credit cards, so it probably has to do with that?
> Credit Card payment from the following countries and regions are not available on our website.
-VIET NAM, MEXICO, INDONESIA and PERU
-California, Florida, Oregon, Texas, Illinois, Nevada and New Jersey (in U.S.A)
>For the above reason, new customers in these locations are not able to place orders which contains Paypal restricted items (dojinshi and related products) on our website. If you wish to purchase those items, please contact us.
Refer here for more details.
Hope this helps.
I know about the foreign credit card thing, which is why I talked to them already about splitting my order. I've paid for part of my order with Paypal, sent them the IDs for the remaining "adult" goods through the form, and they sent me back another link to pay for the remainder of my order.
Definitely no flags on my account, and I've used the same card to purchase from other Japanese stores multiple times throughout just the past month.
I know others have gotten their payment through by just trying multiple times a day over several days, but I was hoping someone who's been through the same ordeal has some kind of tried-and-true method to get around their faulty security check. But I guess I would have heard about it already on MFC or elsewhere if it were that simple...
Same anon, reporting back in. Got my payment to go through after dozens of unsuccessful tries.
I don't think there's any tricks to it, just literal brute force and unholy amounts of persistence.
I absolutely love these and I've been dying to make one for my husbando but there is literally no merch for him, the few bits I have found are all fanmade and really hard to get hold of. I saw an artist I like make one though completely out of fanmade pieces and now I'm considering it.... Does anyone know any really good/cheap places to get charms or badges printed?
Finally tracked this bag down! It's available for preorder at Village Vanguard, and it's by マイコレバック (My Colle Bag, they do a bunch of itabags):
Artsmoo? You could also try the recommendations in the Artists Alley thread, but the sellers they work with typically only do bulk orders.
For charms, you need to probably buy a bulk of them though that should help with the itabag right? Visit the Artists Alley thread for the manufacters, I'm looking to make some myself.
Apparently there's a ton of sideM stuff on taobao and I'm having a hard time evaluating if stuff is bootleg, factory reject or extra items.
based on what the store(it just resells japanese merch) they're probably legit. Although what you posted seems to be a preorder from the Lantis store so they won't get shipped till February.
Thanks for posting this anon! I'm going to try to do that the next time I order from them. I'd placed an order with them last month and had to cancel it because no matter how many times I tried, the card wouldn't go through. I really wish they'd change their payment method.
Now that I'm not on terribad internet and can get a psuedo translation I see that's the case for most of the listing. I guess I can get the same stuff with a slightly better exchange rate?
Comparing the two stores, some things are out of stock on the lantis store and going through taobao might be a little more expensive because their prices are a little more. Yen rate isn't too bad, I would just go get a japanese proxy/forwarding for the lantis store and go through that, unless you want the Beit or HighxJoker keychains which are sold out at Lantis.
I'd love to get a randoseu backpack for my S.E.M bag because
>Reasonably priced used ones on YJ
>They sell randoseru rain covers which are just clear sleeves
>Want to bring itabag to Japan, too bulky pack
>Weird for grown white gaijin to be carrying an elementary school backpack?
> just awkward to have if you're tall
There's the kicker I'm 5' 9"
Yeah the high school bags were my first choice I briefly just got over excite when I saw how cheap randoseru could be on YJ. I posted this in the FB group but I'm still undecided on what color to get because the pink does look pretty good it's just very different from everything I typically wear even to cons.
does anyone know if it's possible to use small blind box figures to make keychains out of? I want to make an itabag of the characters I have cosplayed, and a lot of them it's hard to find anything of the exact character and outfit... I'll be making a lot of buttons and such, but I do still want some keychains too.
I was thinking I could drill a small hole in the top of the figure and glue in a small metal eyelet and get my own little keychain clasps. But is this just asking for disaster for the figure to fall off the eyelet? Any advice?
There's a ton of custom product places that make them problem is there's pretty much always a minimum order of 100
The link says four different designs, so two anons with the same husbandos can share 25 buttons between themselves, etc. Wish merch manufactures made more heart shaped buttons because they're adorable.
>tfw these games have consumed my life
>tfw tempted to make an ayato bag now
I'm having a hard time finding his singles irl, did you pull your charms/buttons from blind cases anon? i've checked akiba a few times with little luck. will probably just do auctions in the end since they seem more fruitful!
I've used FJ for non-merch preorders before without any problems. is it a site that requires COD or a bank account or something, though? otherwise you're probably better off doing the payment yourself and using a forwarder like tenso, if that isn't already ruled out.
unless it's a super-rare/expensive item or there's no preview pic and you're gambling on the seller actually being legit, I don't think it's worth it, personally. I've yet to use it for all the little straps and things I've been buying, and I've never had an issue with a seedy seller or things getting broken in transit, as they're usually very good about packaging.
>Tfw your husbando is mainstream trash and are too ashamed to make an itabag of him as you don't want to be associated with the fandom.
In case you're not a member of the Facebook group yet - here's the dress I got in from artsmoo today, I know it's nice to see pictures in case you're thinking about ordering. This was the sleeveless skater dress.
I probably could have done better with photo positioning, but I'm really happy with the dress, it's fit, and it's print quality. I personally think this dress looks best with a light petti, so if you're not into lolita and you want one you may want to consider it, otherwise the fullness of the skirt causes it to hang kind of limply and you can't see all of the images.
I also ordered some buttons and was pretty pleased with the quality, I will be ordering more.
I need that base bag that's great
here's my ita bag recently.
>with added mousepad for shame
My coffin bag finally came in, the PU was pain to deal with so I'm a bit apprehensive to add anymore badges. Honestly thinking about getting rid of the two rubber straps on the ends to make it more streamline too.
This looks great honestly. Are you planning an outfit around it?
>my goff senses are tingling
I had thought of using my vynil coffin bag for Dialovers stuff but I'm afraid of things falling and rubber straps getting dirty without a protective cover
>rubber straps getting dirty without a protective cove
There's actually an easy DIY process to clean those.
I'd try it on an old rubber strap you're not super fond of just to make sure it works as well as they say, but the tutorial pictures looked pretty convincing.
I got them from Etsy! https://www.etsy.com/listing/240808530/jojos-bizarre-adventure-cartoon-rubber?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=jojo's%20bizarre%20adventure&ref=sc_gallery_1&plkey=378892c8abb6c80ead8fcef7af8f66f8f7d77d7b:240808530 I plan on getting more of them when I have a bit more money, they are super adorable!
Oh my. This bag is glorious! Polnareff is actually my husbando, and wanted a Polnareff bag, but didn't think I could fill it with enough merch. Where did you get your bag? Also the mousepad? Awesome, anon.
I thought about getting some Artmoo tights but realized it would be a black grey hot mess. I'm prolly just gonna go with my usual outfit of swaddled in black
>your goff senses were right
I use soap and water to clean my straps and wood glue if they get pretty bad. It's the best method I've found that keeps them in good condition.
Thank you! I was kinda nervous since it looks unbalanced rn
I just won pic related and I am so happy~! I can't wait to get more merch and fill up a bag since my other husbando is kinda hard to find merch for even from fanart. Also I plan on buying this backpack >>8776032
for my Dmmd Clear bag. If I do decided on it, would anyone like a review on it?
Speaking of Free, I'll shamelessly peddle my merch again (everything is official)

I know that feeling well. I don't even have husbandos in that series (maybe Momo a little) but I made two bags for them anyway just so I could make a whole Free! themed nanchatte coord to go with it.
>mfw I'm going to stick out like a crazy lady at the next convention since no one I've seen locally does itabag stuff
Working on it, but I don't know the word for badge protector. Also any other suggestions you can think of.
Right now I have
>缶バッジ Can Badge
>クリアバッグ Clear Bag
>ラバーストラップ Rubber Strap
>トートバッグ Tote Bag
Dropped my email! I am very interested in anything of him so if you can send pictures of what you have and how much you want, I will gladly buy them off you!
I am concerned about how it will protect my stuff since the sides are open and what of something falls out which is why I am still on the fence but we will see how good is it when it comes in.
This store on Aliexpress has lots of rubber straps if anyone is interested. They look pretty legit for non official stuff?
I love that you used a coffin bag! This is giving me ideas of using a themed lolita bag for a husband, too. I was kind of wary of doing it at first, but it looks nice in a case like this.
I also just want to comment I really like ita bags like yours where they're not spawning keychains off the bag. It's really pleasant to look at. (I guess it's not an ita bag in the traditional sense?) but it definitely makes each keychain more interesting to look at, especially when each it unique and spaced out like yours.
>Touken Ranbu straps
All my want. I've been playing that a few weeks now and I can't remember names so I've been just mostly calling them by identifying features like "Shota 1, Shota 2, Tiger Shota, Annoying Voice Fox Bastard, Grandpa, Saint Seiya Reject"
Since we're nearing the end of the bump limit, reminder to change the OP for the next one >>8760597
And we don't need to make a new thread as soon as this one hits the limit. Let it get to page 8 or 9 first. Threads on /cgl/ can stay for a long time, so there's no need to start another thead when this one's still on page 4.
I stumbled on a Japanese ebay seller that sells keystraps/other small anime merch of various characters from a series together in one listing. I know its not all of one character but I figured someone might find it useful here:
>Kanato of the past
I'm in the same place haha. I can't understand Japanese, so I've been reading translations and falling in love with certain characters/ships. Honestly I was going to play KanColle, but I didn't realize you'd have to jump through so many hoops to join so I tried TKRB instead.
I didn't need another fandom to join!
Can't stand Kakaka Guy. The voice just irritates me so bad. Him, Tiger Shota, and Mask Kitsune are like the unholy trinity of obnoxious voices for me.
If I didn't have three bags made already I'd dedicate one to my favorite squad line-ups.
Found this for any JoJo people. The item description said Pokemon but I'm pretty sure it's from the Jojos.
>mfw Tiger & Bunny tossed in with Full Metal Alchemist
I'd get it but I don't want to pay at least $6.50 for two squishy straps that I already have and got for $0.50 each on Yahoo Japan.
Thank you! I'll be honest in that the coffin bag is suppose to be my more aesthetic bag while the mini tote is the more traditional cluster style. Plus I'll be using the coffin bag daily so I can't really have an insane amount of merch on it either. They're both very ita on the wallet tho.
I keep some Mameshibas and Alpacassos plush clips on my backpack since I usually carry too much for a normal purse or tote. Also used to have a sweet set of TWEWY pins from the Shark Robot booth at a con but there were pretty terrible quality somehow.
Now a TWEWY bag with a ton of the pins and some merch if it exists would be fantastic the game had such great designs.
Before this thread totally sages, anyone have advice on finding affordable card case holders? The most merch of my husband is in trading card form. I was thinking of these:
I like the extra strip of color but I'm worried it might be too bulky?
I have cards for my bag as well and that's the same kind of card holders I was going to get as well. I originally bought hard plastic ones but they were too bulky so I'm switching to these and getting them off eBay. Not sure how to attach though, probably big safety pins?
Weeb but I've got a bunch of stuff in my purse.
I recently put a daily bag together! (I'm super embarrassed about one of the badges appearing smudged on the picture. The filter did it) ;n;
Jealous of that glasses case lmao I'm gonna have to diy one because that's something I want thats never crossed my mind
I got'cha covered, anon. They have a few more series as well.
Itaphone anon here!
Some more supplies arrived so I'm finally starting progress on a phone.
Galaxy S6 Kotori Minami anon, you're up first! Trying with pearls that just came in today but if that doesn't work I'll do rhinestones since I have more pink ones of them. It won't be finished today since I'm waiting on my larger white pearls/rhinestones to arrive but I can at least get that Muse logo done.
Also, general question here, should I create a Tumblr or something to keep progress up on? I don't want to spam the topic with updates of non-finished phones but at the same time I don't feel comfortable using my personal FB either to join the itabag group. Does anyone know of a way you can make a FB for your hobby, like some cosplayers do, without FB busting you for having two accounts?
If you made a tumblr I would follow it, but if you want in ita group you might be able to with a false name we have a couple of folks with obvious nicknames. I'm not sure because I just used my personal oops but someone can help you
I already have a personal tumblr and from what >>8803542 is saying it sounds like I'd have to make a nickname which FB won't let me change my name since I've already confirmed my real one. So I guess tumblr is the way to go, I'll let everyone know when I've set one up.
For now, everyone cross your fingers that I don't die of decoden.
Just made a tumblr real quick, I'll worry about making it look better later.
As for the phone progress.. I'm really bugged about the obvious defects on it but it's my first time making one so I guess I can't be too hard on myself. Practice makes perfect and all that.
You can check the current buyf/a/g thread for details, but basically it's down for content violation. Here's where it is until things get sorted.
Anon you the real MVP.
I'm really thinking about going ahead with the Levi itabag now.
>Just paid for a couple of merch hauls from proxies
>All my jp purchases have been sent out
>Resolve not to spend any more for a while
>See character-specific, long since sold out tote bag I've wanted forever pop up on Y!J auctions
>Cry and open my wallet
