I think that's about it in terms of main pieces from 2005 and earlier aside from some I can't find photos of. Most of my wardrobe is old school in style though and I am anal about my folders so I can post more if anyone wants.

that's gonna get troublesome. I would go for half shirred or full shirred meta, even oldschool meta could be quite big. also try the Lovely sub-brand from Maxicimam, they are plussize too and you can find them on cdjapan. they often have some quite oldschool designs even though they are new (you pay the new price too, but their items are a bit cheaper than regular brand, you can find blouses for around 115 euros excl shipping).

you could also go for a blouse +skirt option, as your waist is smaller.

Seconding auctions and CC. I also suggest Maiden Clothing and Tokyo Alice, both are cheaper than WW. MC tends to have more old school than TA but they're still my top two.

Raschel lace can be made of cotton. Regardless of what it's called it just doesn't look very good, but lace in that position shouldn't be hard to replace.

I can agree with that. There are many different substyles in oldschool; oldschool sweet, oldschool gothic, nun was really big (though that's just really a gothic trend), oldschool classic, hime, etc. Oldschool is an era with substyles in it.

I think there is some overlapping between the substyles though such as the popularity of utks, and peter pan collar blouses. Chunky shoes were used for most substyles and there was not as much variations between bags as there is now.

I don't understand why it can’t be a form of substyle which also has it's own substyles - it's not like that makes it some meta type shit, it really is as simple as that and needn’t go any deeper.

Older styles are distinctive enough to look quite different to modern lolita style, thus describing things as 'oldschool' seems perfectly appropriate. 'Oldschool sweet', 'oldschool gothic' etc are also appropriate labels.

Even if people don't like the idea of 'oldschool' as a substyle, labelling things as 'oldschool' at the very least, makes a lot of sense.

Just your standard natural makeup... Some cute natural pink lips and cheeks. Street snaps tend to wash out faces so it would look like that. Just wear what is currently flattering and natural, no need to pluck your eyebrows 90s style for authenticity lol

Get a Karami JSK. They're iconic, super cheap, and available in a few different styles and colors. Wunderwelt is a great go-to for blouses as well, since they tend to be cheaper than other second hand sites and they have a really large selection in comparison (for blouses at least; their other stuff can be pricey).

It's rather common in IW's older designs from what I know, though other brands have used it as well (like BTSSB). I think that cluny and torchon lace are a lot more common.

How can I find which old school dresses come in larger sizes? I know Baby used to make multiple sizes but it's hard to tell what the max measurements are on closet child and yjapan.

I'm looking for something in the 100cm bust territory. I know skirts would be the best way to go in my case but I really want to do a jumperskirt + apron coord.

My take on it would be that it might be to leave that aspect of oldschool behind, although i must admit, that pic is still pretty cute - the paler collar and cuffs lace poking out from the cream cardi kinda make it work, plus the pale buttons.

I am having such a hard time finding a pink or sax ladder lace jsk in good condition that also has a design I like. Where do you guys buy most of your stuff? WW has a decent oldschool sax dress right now but there are only a couple pieces of lace and it looks unbalanced.
