I'm just dumping a few pics to get things rolling
Ayy, always down for a Jojo thread. Dumping what I have saved.
Love this Cream and Silver Chariot.
Does anyone know what exact kind of suit Kira wears? I want to make one of my own since the buy-online version is shit.
Self-posting my Ferdinand. I really wish more people cosplayed minor villains.
I've seen it done several different ways. Some people just paint it on their chest, some people do a paper cut out, some people paint it onto a nude bodysuit. The only thing about painting it on your body or a bodysuit is you'd have to be super careful if you want it to look neat.
You can buy a temporary tattoo or print your own. This one's on Taobao so it probably wouldn't get to you in time unfortunately.
I actually really like this Jolyne. No bully pls.
"Yare Yare daze.."
There are some depictions of Jotaro with his ankles showing. It does look a little odd in the cosplay, I'll give you that
Best way to do the pattern on Bruno's suit? I've figured out the rest of the costume but I'm really nervous about messing up the pattern.
Holy shit. There's ONE panel in the manga where it kind of looks like that. On all of Buccellati's figures, other art, etc., it's a tattoo. I hate this argument.
Yeah, it makes more sense and that's fine. I'm just tired of people saying it actually /is/ a lace thing for their trans-Bruno HCs. He's in the mafia, let him have his tattoos.
As a warning about the lace thing tho - I have seen pre-made Bruno cosplays that have something like that and they didn't resemble the pattern at all. If you DO go this route, just be wary about that!
I really dig how this Bruno handled their lace/tattoo thing.
Anyone tried or seen anyone else do Ringo Roadagain or Wekapipo from SBR with their actual beard and hair? I've got the facial hair genes for it and there's a SBR group at my next con, so I'm sorta considering it, but the idea of trimming my beard the day before the con and fucking up is terrifying.
Why is he trying to break his back
These two also did a hella good Gilgamesh and Saber Alter last Afest
i think it would look nicer without the lines, it's not all stylized like borderlands
Part of me really loves the idea of using fur for bucci
Going to do a Johnny cosplay this year at MTAC.
I'm working on bulking my upper body and growing out my hair.
Any tips on how I should do the horse shoe on his bandana?
Also, wheelchair or no wheelchair?
Pic related is what I'm going for.
I feel like if you're gonna draw the lines on with makeup, go full borderlands and add the lines to the whole outfit and not just your fucking face.
That way your shitty design choice can at least be cohesively shitty.
>He shot himself in the head because he thought star platinum would catch the bullet
Do what I'm going to do. Just get one of those stick horses and walk around with that. Or go the Monty Python route and get someone to follow you while clanging coconuts. I'm still trying to figure out how I can get boots in the same color as the pants and how I can get them to blend together. I'm thinking about maybe sewing them together.
Bless you anon, Hol Horse needs more cosplay love. I myself am working on several Jojo cosplays at the moment. If anyone has done Jolyne does anyone have any tips for doing her web pattern on her outfit? Other than painting?
I commissioned someone to make my jolyne, what they did was actually pretty neat (though my whole experience with them was hell), they used elastic for the web design and sewed it on. My costume is 4-way stretch so the elastic can stretch with the outfit.
For a Jolyne wig? Any of the ones that have that "Top Rated Plus" thing are good.
I know the wig is also originally from Taobao, So if you're really worried try there maybe?
Ah okay nice, I am friends/acquainted with someone who's actually friends with the Caesar so that's cool. But yeah the Joseph though no thanks, telling by his pictures he just seems so arrogant.
I saw these guys at supercon, it was cool to see a Tonio, also their fabric choices were pretty neat.
For the jacket it's probably best to start with a basic suit jacket pattern.(Of which you're going to have to modify of course) Pants wise I've cosplayed Koichi and all their pants are really similar, I took a pair of loose pj pants cut them up and drafted a pattern for that making them much baggier in areas, worked well.
the "smear campaign" turned out to be legit. turned out the guy was sexually harassing girl cosplayers at FL events, even sexually harassed AlyChu
can't say here nor there on the guy, talked to him, he's nice, glad he stopped doing the stupid fucking lines that every animefag does for jojo
/r/ing more Steel Ball Run cosplays. Especially Diegos or Hot Pants
This is encouraging me to finish my Hot Pants cosplay.
What would be a good wig for Johnny? I was thinking about the Jaguar from Arda
All JoJo cosplay is pretty difficult. You could go the easy route and do young Jonathan or Dio.
>Also I am a guy and not a manlet
Go for Joseph then, he's arugably one of the easiest.
Jeans,Boots,Gloves, belt, scarf, wig, shirt (or an altered tank top if you're lazy) optional clackers or some other prop.
Yo, so I'm a newfag on this board so I'll be brief.
I made a shitty Old Joseph cosplay, and want to make it not so shit by making a proper Hermit Purple.
How should I make it?
I have no idea how to even start making it
The best Hermit Purple I ever saw was Overbeck's he used this neon purple EL wire and used a little dab of hot glue and blew on it to make the spikes.
The wire is only 10 bucks too: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B4I06TM/ref=pe_385040_121528360_TE_dp_1
I hope this is helpful Anon.
I took this one on an event that happened a year ago in my city. Thoughts?
requesting some lesser cosplayed minor characters/villians!
This is probably one of my favorites.
>is girl with very obviously girl figure
>loves male characters because they are so cool and no female character will ever be that cool
>thinks a huge majority of crossplaying jojos look bad and ruin an otherwise good costume solely because feminine
I must live with my choices
Fuck man, I'm a girl that cosplays Jojo. I haven't cosplayed anyone like Joseph or Jonathan (I know my limits) but honestly I could probably care less. Can't do much about your bodytype when you're naturally smaller female. Hell I'm planning to cosplay WR and I'm short but I plan on wearing shoe risers and shit to make me taller among other things.
Anyway I forget where I was going with this but cosplay whoever the heck you want from jojo just dont do the fucking face lines and get a wig.
Personally, I think it's like with any cosplay. Cosplay what you like, ones that suit your body type usually look better, but sometimes you gotta just cosplay what you love.
I've got this version of Midler planned. I need to trim My waist a bit more and I think I'll be comfortable enough to do it.
Billy_Blue_8 on twitter he posts most pictures only on twitter
like this one
Can anyone identify the kind of fabric this mikitaka used to make their uniform?
I fucking love this guys gold lipstick
i think this is the same guy
Like it was mentioned before, NYX carries pretty good lipstick colors for Jojo. I have their Chambord and Pistachio from the Macaron collection, both very pigmented and creamy, imo.
Inglot also has a few shades that are good, I personally really like their stick lipsticks, which I own in 281 (purple/violet) and 288 (a really vivid blue). I also own 92 (a bright lime green), from their Freedom System lipstick shades but it's much much creamier (comes in the same shape as an eyeshadow), harder to apply and takes some effort to not look patchy.
Makeup Revolution London also carries a few shades that are good for Jojo cosplays but they can be a little patchy. They cost 1£ only though, so they're good for those in a tight budget. I own their orange Vice and quite like it, it's creamy and needs a few layers to build up but the color is pretty bright.
If you have a bit more money to spend, Jeffree Star's liquid lipsticks look fantastic and some colors can definitely be worn for JJBA cosplays and since they're long lasting, they can probably hold up through a whole con day.
I can post swatches/worn photos of the ones I own if anyone needs!
Does anyone have any advice for making a Polnareff wig? I've seen some advice where people back comb the hair in the middle and glue hair around it. Also just putting a peice of foam in the middle of the hair to make it stand. I really want to make the wig perfect, as I feel like he doesn't have much else to his outfit besides the hair. I also don't want it to look like a helmet like most do.
Cosplaying stands looks so rad
Alright guys, I need some opinions. I'm working on a Weather Report cosplay and I'm not sure if I should make his outfit a jumpsuit with a zipper in the back or a seperate top and pants? Looking at some other cosplays of him I've seen both.
Going to Otakon was worth it for this and this alone.
Hey I'm just wondering, I'm a mildly chubby trans guy and not at all fit to cosplay a jojo but I love the series, I was considering cosplaying Funny Valentine (when he's fat, of course). I do cosplay other characters but I saw myself posted to the bad cosplay thread once so I doubt I'll cosplay them again. Would it work if I cosplayed Fat!Valentine? Or should I just give up trying to cosplay from this series.
This was my Narancia cosplay that I did (My sister is the Mista) and I know we look awkward as hell (this surprisingly wasn't the picture that got posted, but it was this cosplay) but if there's any way I could improve you could give me tips? I'm a beginner at a lot of stuff
It's not terrible, it's just mediocre as far as I can tell from the photo.
First of all, make up for both of you. Even if you don't go full jojo, you'd benefit from a more even face.
Second is the stripes, which should be more and more evenly painted.
Last are his shoes, which don't look like that... they are more like boots.
Thank you for the advice for the first two, and as far as the last one goes I can't really afford different shoes for each new cosplay sadly... Though I could try my best. Thank you very much though, it is really appreciated and I'm sorry for clogging up the thread
For shoes, find similar base shoes at a thrift store or a cheap place like Ardene's (which often has 2 for $15 sales at the end of the seasons) and then make boot covers. You can make yourself some pretty convincing shoes pretty cheap that way.
Ok awesome you're right. Now that my friend has watched (pleb I know) part 1 and has seen the glory that is speedweed he wants to cosplay him like I hoped. We're thinking of sewing two wigs together for his poofy hair since all the wigs I've ever seen look like weak shit.
My Dio cosplay I did for chibi pa.
I hope you don't mind a selfpost, I recently finished my hot pants! Wont be attending any cons till later this year so no nice photos yet.
I recently found the black version of this outfit, I'm thinking of making it my first Jojo cosplay.
But I think I might be leaning towards this one since I feel like it works with my figure better. Might sub out the purple hair for green though. Thoughts? Haven't made a cosplay in 2 years so it'll be nice to start again.
I'm personally a fan of >>8806886
I actually have a friend going to cosplay that version too. There's also the white version of that where he has the green/teal hair.
Can I request some stand cosplays? I'm considering cosplaying a stand this year, possibly Silver Chariot requiem or something.
