Lately I've been noticing my local cons are getting exceedingly bad.
Are the organizers mostly killing everything? Are the cons just getting repetitive? Why do you go to cons? What do you feel can ruin it all?
Pic related
>>9151952
I feel like it's probably because anime and related stuff is becoming more popular, which leads to a worse crowd as you get more cancer from normies and crazies.
Children and "tumblrinas".
I've seen a lot of cons going more "family friendly" as of recent. The convention puts a lot of money towards stupid children's activities, along with fucking with rave times. I'm not talking small children either, A lot of pre-teens and teens are fucking it up too. They have a mentality that they're funny and are good at producing things, therefore, they run shitty panels, photoshoots, and let their autism unleash. Now you have these teenage kids doing panels about diversity in cosplay when them themselves are white, or hosting Steven Universe photo shoots. The kids are just rowdy in general. It's like their mother dropped them off and said "fuck it all" for the weekend.
This is all just smaller conventions though. Bigger conventions are probably getting worse by normies, but I can't really figure it out too well.
I also kinda think it's because most people, at least where I'm from, just go there to buy weeb shit. It's just becoming so commercialized. Guess they've just turned it into a money-making machine.

Meetup will be around 9p in the Charles Street Lobby and once a group has gathered will head over to the Water Street Tavern.
>What panels did everyone go to yesterday/last night? What are you still looking forward to?
>What are you cosplaying?
Thanks to the tripfag yesterday~

So my friend and I went to the Funimation Peep Show before reading the description thinking it was burlesque which is always funny in how awkward it is. But instead it was just soft core porn advertisement.
Which, you know, is more lame but the crowd was worse than I could have ever asked for at burlesque.
Dude behind us sits down and immediately goes
>FUNIMATION?!? Ugh that means there's no PUSSY. Funimation doesn't show the PUSSY
As soon as the panelist introduces herself as "Cookie" he loudly goes
>I wanna FUCK Cookie.
And throughout the fifteen minutes we could stand he at least six times goes
>WHERE'S THE PUSSY
>I WANNA SEE THE ANIME PUSSY
Meanwhile the guys beside us pull out a giant apple? juice bottle of piss-looking booze and start pouring into water cups
It was the most painfully virgin panel I've ever cringed at. And not even from the content.
I'm not sure what I was expecting though
Alright, seagulls
I'm on a quest to achieve my personal aesthetic ideal. I love larme, so I will be building my look around that.
I've slowly began building my wardrobe, but now I need to work on myself, as a person. I've decided to start with hair
I'm interested in getting hair extensions, but I'm not sure what the best way to approach it is
I've done research and it seems that micro-bead extensions are the healthiest way to go, but seem considerably more expensive that the other ones
Have any of you ladies gotten extensions done?
Did you do full or partial?
How much did it cost?
Also, what are your experiences with using groupons for beauty treatments?
>>9139744
Have you considered those halo extensions or clip ons? Or are you set on getting sewn in wefts?
>>9139753
I definitely can't do clip ins, because my hair is very short and very fine
I haven't heard much about the halo, though
Can we just make this a general Hair thread?
Would putting silver over chestnut brown hair turn it to ash brown? I have some leftover pravana from my silver hair days that I'm hoping to use up.
>>9139744
I had to google since I'd never heard of this before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR0BocxfIPo
It looks pretty cool but also labor intensive; I feel like they're gonna be really expensive to get. If you haven't gotten extensions before then maybe try some clip-ins first. Remember that extensions aren't forever - depending on how fast your hair grows and how long you want to keep them, you may be going back to the salon every 3-4 months.
If you can't financially support that kind of schedule then try getting clip ins. They aren't as tacky as you may think; you can find really nice clip ins that look and behave very naturally. If this is your first time getting extensions, then it may be worth the "investment" to get clip-ins first and wear those for a couple months before diving into the more expensive stuff.

does any aus anons know if sephora is going to restock moonchild?
Can anyone suggest a good inexpensive eye-shadow brush set? I'm also looking for a new face powder brush too.

Would any of the shades in this be a good dupe for the venus palette? It seems to have some reds though they are more pink looking, a similar orange and pearl shades.
What's quality of ABH like compared to LC Venus, too faced and morphe?
There have always been disagreements when it comes to casual lolita, long before OTT became popular. But with recent casual threads, we mostly argue about whether normal lolita coords are casual or not.
Can we agree that non-OTT coords are not casual lolita? If you are wearing a lolita OP, JSK or skirt with a petticoat, blouse, headwear, legwear, accessories, and the type of shoes you would usually wear with lolita, there is nothing really casual there. It's just normal lolita.
Now, to start some discussion
> Is it acceptable to wear sneakers or flats with casual lolita?
> Is it acceptable to go without petticoat or bloomers?
> Has casual lolita changed over the years?
> What do you think of soft lolita?
> Should casual coords be posted to CoF?
>>9137700
I'm going to post some coords that may not all be perfect, but definitely use casual clothing. Be warned a lot of these are going to be selfie-quality (no one would do a photoshoot in casual lolita)

For those who aren't familiar, on /a/ they have something called 3x3 threads where they post a collage of their top 9 anime and then people post their own and rate yours. It's just a way of seeing what other people's tastes are and how much you agree or disagree with their taste.
I see no reason why we can't do the same with lolita dresses. I made one quick for fun using this website https://www.befunky.com/features/collage-maker/
I'd love to see all of yours!

You have really shit tastes.
Here's mine! My tastes are a bit all over the place

Is there a line where one should stop cosplaying?
Do you have a certain age set for yourself when you will quit?

Eeh, I just googled old cosplayer to find an image to support my argument.
30 for me. Sigh.
Whatever happened to this show?
>>9133496
Not enough viewers = not enough money made = cancelled
>>9133496
Pretty sure the cosplayers that were on it regret it. Halfway through the show, some of them dropped out right?
>>9133547
I don't think they dropped out. I think all of them pretty much said it wasn't worth it and didn't want to continue with the show. They scripted a lot of the "fights" and a bunch of them got hate for it afterwards. I don't think any of them wanted to be portrayed as the "villain" of the show. It was all about drama.
Because the last thread saged.
Post plans, pics, and questions. Starting off with a Tuxedo Pearl.
Any Bismuth cosplays yet?
>>9131126
That apron is pathetic.
Cosplays of all games made in RPG maker (Yume Nikki/Yume Nikki fangames, Ib, Corpse Party, The Witch's House etc). Except for OFF. You have enough content to make your own thread
>>9113682
>excluding OFF
Why, exactly? An OFF thread would die quicker than you think, and is an unnecessary exclusion.
>>9113682
I really want to do a Suga cosplay at one point, should be easy enough since his design is so simple.
Hey /cgl/,
I really want to make a spreadsheet containing every single japanese fashion that there has been, going back even to the 70's and 60's. I want to document every single one, no matter how small or short it was. No historical fashion though.
I wish everyone could collaborate toghether!
These are some ideas for the spreadsheet so far:
-A general introduction of what jfashion is and how it started
-Name
-When it started (and ended)
-Status (defunct / alive / in risk of extintion)
-Silhouette and aesthetic
-Concept, philosophy and overall feel
-History
-Influenced by (both jfashion and others)
-It influenced: (...) (both jfashion and others)
-How it has changed over time
-Brands or stores (or if it was completly thrifted or handmade)
-Magazines
-Links
-A picture of it
(or drawing, but keep them cohesive- white background, black outlines, small watermark in the side if you want. Any style is okay, but please post only the direct link)
Feel free to suggest more ideas! Also sorry for my bad writing, english is not my first language (I would really like to handle the project to someone with good knowledge and good english though. I would also love if it was just an overall collaboration thing between everyone in /cgl/.)
Feel free to contribute with ideas!
I'm lazy, I'm waiting for the FRUiTS digitizing compilation project. It's coming.

sorry, my bad
What was that one fashion where women wore those jumpsuit things and carried whistles?
