I got my Antique Beast order in the other day, this was from the order that was open in early September.
>just letting others know if they're waiting for their orders as well
For those who might still be following Meltia, the lolita idol group:

Apparently they'll be releasing singles on iTunes soon. People don't seem to really talk about them anymore but I thought it was worthy information.

Crazy laughter in another
Room and she drove herself to madness
With a silver spoon
I haven't seen one in a while, so time for a reference thread !
Post your inspiration, favourite coords, and god tier content. Try not to shit up the thread, our salt levels are getting a little too high.

I know the con is still going on but does anyone have any stories about the con yet?
This is like riding the Titanic.
I feel like the masquerade is getting less cringey every year. There were more walk one the skits and only a couple if the skits were terrible. My opinion at least.
One of my friends told me that someone was forcibly removed from the con.

so, prompted by the 'first artist alley' questions, what is the worst you've done at an alley or seen someone else do?
I remember distinctly the social media breakdown of a girl I was semi-acquainted with at her first alley, where she had spent $600 on printing gallery-quality prints and had not sold a single one.
It was one of the unfortunate cases where she had never gotten genuine feedback/critique on her work, just her family and friends going OMG its so good!
The worst I ever did was sitting between a creepy loli borderline-hentai artist and a very aggressive salesperson perler seller. The combination of the two was just causing people to quickly walk past our section as whole.

Doing a test run of a new bath bomb idea I had. Trying to figure out the proper proportions of pigment vs polysorbate to avoid causing a bath ring/staining.
After this I want to do some heart shaped bath bombs based on the different undertale hearts. Or I might just do sailor moon hearts, not sure yet.
Let's have a corset thread!
I'll start off with a few questions I have myself:
1. I'm kinda chubby (losing about 5kg), how do you conceal/get rid of the kinda muffin top between your boobs and corset? My shapewear doesn't work.
2. Is it dangerous to wear it for a few hours under a cosplay when you've never worn it before?
>>9214718
1. Long line bra with boning in it
2. Only if it doesn't fit well and compresses a nerve or something. You'd probably be aware of that though since it would be uncomfortable. Ideally you should season your corset first though.
>>9214718
Anyone got any recs for corset brands?
>>9214893
The best of-the-rack is definitely Mystic City Corsets imo. It is waaaay more comfortable than any I have ever had before, creates a really curvy silhouette like a real corset should and gave me way more reduction than any other corset brand I've tried. Could not recommend enough, still salty I ever wasted money on orchard corsets and timeless trends and stupid anime con corsets
what cosplays get the most attention at a con? Is it the cosplay that looks the best? Is it a cosplay that is from something popular like tokyo ghoul? Is it a cosplay that is detailed and elaborate? Or is it a cosplay that looks well made? I dont know what cosplay to do to get a lot of good attention at a con.
>>9205152
when looking for attention at cons, always remember the three B's: boobs, butt, and big prop.
Groups get a lot of attention. If you are in a group coordinated cosplay you will get a lot of attention especially if it is decently elaborate. If you want to just go by yourself it really depends on what kind of attention you want. T&A will get you a different crowd than a well made cosplay or a T&A cosplay.
3 things I've noticed get the most attention for my costumes are, that they're a female character, they show skin, there's impressive elements like difficult construction or armour/props. Everytime I take away one of those 3 things attention goes down. As >>9205181 says, the crowd is different depending on what you play up.
Don't worry about posting perfect photos, just post photos that you saved or pinned because you liked something about them.

I've been having to hold on to every spare cent for AWA, and as a consequence missed out on the big sale. So, who else is in restock hell?
Also if anyone has any reviews (or, better yet, pictures) of pic related in the matte red color I'd be eternally grateful.
>>9189278
I wish they'd restock their larger sizes as they're the only store I know of selling decent quality lolita shoes larger than an L
Also, still haven't got my tracking. Like, just the tracking number, but tracking it still doesn't work. And since it's the first time I ordered there I'm extremely nervous now
>>9189308
When did you order, and are you using AIR? They only ship AIR on Tuesdays.
>>9189278
Mr Yan is on trial for fingering cat buttholes in public so they won't be restocking any time soon.

This thread is for ouji and aristocrat (aka "boystyle") discussion. Boystyle refers to the masculine counterparts of lolita and aristocrat fashions. There is a lot of overlap between these styles, and different people use different terms to describe them. So, consider this a thread for those whose style is on the right half of Buttcape's Lolita Family Triangle: http://www.kawacura.com/moripress/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/0dmmLH6-350x350.jpg

Sheglit actually puts real pieces together instead of shooping them. It's a shame that Sheglit turned out to be so femme.
Looking to get some inspiration for a make up look for a meet I'm going to this month. Please post images and tips for make up that fits with the lolita theme. I will dump a few pics to get started.
It's shape bothers me a lot, the cabin starts at the half of my chest so the shoulders appear to be higher. And I'm not sure about doing templates this big, any help on how to do it from scratch?

How about you use the help thread and/or OW thread?

I'm a newfag
If you have no ideas whatsoever of your own on how to do it, the project is WAY outside the scale of what you're capable of. Trust me.
I have a girlfriend who loves cosplay, she's small and I'm pretty tall (The top of her head barely reaches my shoulder). I'd like to do some cosplay too, but I never really got into anime that much, I like to make props tho. So I was thinkin, what if I could make a suit of some sort and carry her around with a harness or share the suit so it looks like one? I always give her piggy-back rides. What do you guys think?
Maybe using something like the Stilt-Spirit
>>9228449
The suit is pretty easy from a proportion side. Its built like a person. Working the harness into the suit might be tricky but its def do-able
yes it's possible
but if you're asking, it's not within your skill level
once we start having components that need to support more than their own weight, materials and construction/design techniques become crucial factors (in most costumes they are nice afterthoughts, or required to a low degree).
you got CAD experience?
