Okay /biz/
I've been doing abit of research on a few companies using online sites to check current and past directors etc. Also, just out of interest to read a few companies records from when they first registered and see what their accounts show etc.
Anyway... I've found that theres a single guy who's been appointed as ''Nominee Director'' or ''Nominee Secretary'' over 5000 times all for different companies.
What does this mean? How can someone have 5000 directorships? Like 200 of them are active and 4300 resigned... What does this mean??!

Well it probably means that a lot of those companies are fraudulent. What types of companies are they? It's obviously not legit, that's for sure

börp for you too
alos what year are those records?

All types.
I mean, they're either ''career'' businessmen or fraudulent somehow but this is all public information so I doubt it.
Heres an example:

Guy has or had ''directorships'' in over 3000 companies? He's active in 70 something now but looking through all of the info, it seems most of them are dissolved now. Wtf? How can someone create 3000 companies? Or what am I even looking at here?

I'm not familiar with British law but my guess would be that there's some tax incentive to filing papers to register a small busniess or something. These all have super low revenues and cash value, with some named with just numbers or their street address, so they obviously weren't intended to actually deal with customers of any kind. Might be money laundering also, but you would think he would try to make it less obvious
