Australian here, with 25k in ETH.

1: Make account with CoinJar
2: Add money to your CoinJar account
3: Buy BTC with your balance
4: Make account on Poloniex
5: Transfer your BTC from CoinJar to Poloniex
6: Buy ETH with BTC on Poloniex

CoinJar has a $2500/day limit on deposits, and it must be done via BPAY, which can take a few days to clear.

If someone knows a better way to get ETH, i'm all ears.

I did something similar. went on btcmarkets, swapped aud for btc then got kraken tier 2 verification. warning btcmarkets took a week to verify but now I can swap all the ether i want on kraken
