If you want to "wait until it drops" it means you believe it will drop, correct?

If you believe it will drop, then why would you buy it in downturn? What prevents it from dropping further or to zero?

If you believe it will eventually raise, however, why not just buy now?

What if it keeps going up and never "drops"?

You can see that by using MACD it is pretty simply to tell the crossover point where there was a huge jump. Right now it seems to be stagnating and going down slightly. So why not just wait for the next such crossover point to buy or short sell?

Average price per coin is important, so buying now would increase that significantly for him, putting him in arguably a worse position. The smartest thing he can do is wait for a dip to buy more.
