I'm no business expert, but something tells me that this won't be a success. What do you think? Are traditional malls a thing of the past?

This appeals to gen x, not millenials.
Looks like most American outdoor malls. Is Bonglandia just getting these or something?

Malls have become a joke by raising rent so high that only clothing stores with $2 rags sold at 100X markup can survive and nothing new can open when anything else closes.

Suburban malls are dead. What this is doing is playing off trends in highly urbanized places. These massive work play developments are usually underpinned by huge tax breaks and but are often successful nonetheless. I personally think it's a poor development strategy because it just sends wealth to the top but that doesn't really matter.

I'm 18 and I go to the mall regularly... I try on everything that interests me and go home to buy it all online. I can usually find it cheaper and I also don't have to pay sales tax. It's a win win win for everybody.
